We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Finance Team in the role of Finance Assistant.
The Finance Assistant supports all aspects of the Hallé’s work at the Bridgewater Hall, the Hallé Venues and concert halls across the UK.
The Finance Assistant works in a department currently comprising Finance Director, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.
The department is responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the Society and its related trusts. The Finance Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Finance Manager.
They take responsibility for processing the day-to-day transactions of the company across purchase ledger, sales ledger and the cash book, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. They will also need to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Hallé as well as with external customers and suppliers.
The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.
Consideration will be given to applicants wanting to work part-time at an appropriate level to meet the requirements of the role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities• Undertake community fundraising, individual giving and legacy and in memoriam fundraising under the guidance of the Charity Director.• Support the Charity Director in their fundraising efforts.• Administer bids for charitable funds from the Trust’s services.• Prepare papers for the Quarterly Charitable Funds Committee, which is a sub-committee of the main Trust board• Prepare the Charitable Funds Committee Chair’s report to the Board of Directors.• Keep accurate records of the charity’s income and expenditure• Formally acknowledge any donations in a timely manner and keep records of this.• Manage the charity’s email account.• Manage any grants received from external sources, e.g. via NHS Charities Together• Administer and authorise the Trust’s Team Wellbeing “Big Thank You” bids.• Liaise with the Trust’s Accounts Payable Team to ensure accurate recording of income and expenditure.• Bank any donations the Charity receives via cheque• Dealing with service users/donors• Represent the Trust/Charity in virtual meetings with external organisations

- Assist with the preparation of other external reporting.
- Participating in ad-hoc finance projects.
- Suggesting and actioning improvement to current processes when recognised.

About you
- Part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with prior experience in a financial accounting role.
- Experience of working with ERP finance systems. Knowledge of Unit 4 (Agresso) Finance System (desirable)
- Experience in management accountant.
- Knowledge of financial accounting standards and a good understanding of financial policies, processes and controls
- Can-do attitude with an ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Resilient individual with a desire to deliver process improvements.
- Flexible and driven to provide outstanding support to your team and wider colleagues.

The Online Product Lister (Known internally as eCommerce Online Sales Executive) plays a vital role in generating income for Scope to support disabled people and their families. A key part of this role is listing a variety of donated items for sale via Scope’s online selling channels.
Location: Scope’s Ecommerce Hub - Westlink Business Park, Salford, M50 1BX.
Fixed term for 6 months, 16 hours per week.
The hub operates from 8am - 8pm, Monday to Sunday.
Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required in line with Ecommerce Hub operating hours.

The role
The Online Product Lister is responsible for completing high quality listings through accurate photography and detailed descriptions. The role will involve listing a variety of different products including home and garden, clothing and seasonal cards and items. Product market research and price checking are also key responsibilities of this role.

You will have:
- Good communication skills, including the ability to write copy and create high quality listings.
- The ability to research products online and work to daily targets.
- The role requires continuous manual handling of stock in volume, daily. It will require a reasonable level of fitness and exertion, including carrying stock on a regular basis.

- Ensure that the organisation has the appropriate management systems and structures in place to carry out its work effectively and safely.
- Contribute to writing grant applications for future projects and core work. Undertake training and development as required.
