About you

You will be a confident creative with experience in producing both visual and verbal communications for a broad range of channels including website, email and social. You will be attuned to audience needs and pay attention to user analytics and feedback to continually improve engagement.
About the role
This role within the Policy & Communications directorate gives an energetic, audience-focused individual the opportunity to use their creative flair to support the British Ecological Society’s strategic goal of greater collaboration and impact.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and with the support of the Communications team, this role will transform our digital channels and communications with reactive, creative content that engages and resonates with our audiences.
Working pattern
35hrs, Mon-Fri | We are currently running a trial of the 4-day work week; staff can opt to work 32hrs over 4 days each week at no loss of salary.
Location
Hybrid | We ask that staff spend at least 60% of their time at our London office.

I am excited to be working with a fantastic conservation charity in search of a Finance Assistant for around two months. This is a part-time (2 days a week), London based role for two months. As Finance Assistant your role will be to assist the team with processing grants payments, invoicing and reconciliations.
Main duties:
• Processing grant payments via online banking in line with authorisation limits.
• Inputting and updating all incoming and outgoing transactions on QuickBooks.
• Saving payment confirmations on the server and on Quickbooks.
• Electronic filing of accounts and finance invoices, receipts, credits.
• Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Administrative support for audit.
• Administration of company credit cards.
• Ad hoc administration duties to support charity and CEO.
Experience Required
• MS Excel, Outlook and QuickBooks.

Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Programme Assistant to deliver effective support to the Conservation Capacity & Leadership team. The successful candidate will assist the Director and Conservation Capacity & Leadership team members in delivering the programme’s targets, through administration, basic finance and logistical support, disseminating learning and communications. The role will in particular support Fauna & Flora’s conservation leadership, partner support, and professional development initiatives.
You will have strong relevant experience in an administrative role, with excellent numeracy, organisational and time management skills and a structured and methodical approach to work.
Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong working relationships with colleagues. You will be a self-motivated team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount. With excellent communication skills, you will have a proven ability to write for a range of audiences. Fluency in English is essential.
