About the Role
As a critical member of the strategic leadership team (SLT) for Emmaus UK, the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development will take lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of high-quality support, advice, capacity building and grant-making for federation members in the UK.
The postholder will play a key role in the development of national strategic partnerships and will collaborate with federation members to ensure that federation strategic priorities are delivered and that our colleagues across the federation are able to do their very best work supporting people to overcome homelessness and poverty.
The role will also ensure effective programme and project management of directorate projects and work to embed cross-directorate working and co-operation.

Job purpose:
The role has two distinct areas of responsibility:
Provide administrative and logistical support for the smooth running of the London office (70%). Administrative assistance for the general operations of the Trustees, including coordination of Board meetings (30%), although this may vary on a day-to-day basis.
This role requires a candidate who is well-organised, adaptable, and proactive. Strong administrative, numeracy, communication, and IT skills and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint and our organisational Intranet, are essential.

Roles and responsibilities:
Office Administration and logistical support (70%)
· Proactively ensure that the office functions well and efficiently, maintaining office equipment and stocks of office supplies within budget.
· Act as the primary contact for visitors and phone inquiries. Manage the general inquiries email inbox and other shared email accounts.
· Be the main point of contact for office maintenance, security, and building management. Communicate with the landlord to promptly and efficiently address any related issues.
· Ensure office procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated to staff.
· Coordinate the preparation and production of business cards and ID cards for staff

· Manage Saferworld's organisational contacts database, including contact import, tagging, and deduplication, in compliance with UK GDPR legislation.

Management team administrative support (30%)
· Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer when required.
· Assist in preparing and coordinating management team, UK and Saferworld Europe Board meetings, and other committee and leadership meetings. This includes handling documentation, logistical arrangements, ICT setup for remote participation, and supporting travel bookings and expense claims.
· Manage the global Saferworld calendar, ensuring everyone is informed of events and meetings as necessary.
· Undertake miscellaneous tasks as requested by the CEO, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support organisational needs effectively.

About the opportunity
Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships.
We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of three Fundraising Coordinators, through which you and your team will prepare and submit grant applications and funding reports, alongside overseeing the development and growth of our individual giving activities and initiatives, including through expansion of our fundraising events and campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities

Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. With a focus on developing our individual giving strategies, we’re looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills.

Safe Passage International (SPI) is recruiting a Head of UK Legal Team to lead our ground-breaking legal work in the UK. The UK Legal team works to ensure that safe routes exist for all people seeking asylum. The team specialises in providing free legal advice and representation to unaccompanied children and families seeking asylum in the UK.
The Head of UK Legal Team will be a UK-based qualified solicitor or barrister or OISC Level 3 accredited caseworker or IAAS Supervising Senior caseworker with experience of working within the UK in a legal capacity, specifically in the area of asylum, immigration and refugee family reunion.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a high performing team of immigration lawyers, casework supervisors, and caseworkers. You will drive the development and delivery of our legal strategy in the UK; supervise all UK legal casework; lead our litigation strategy; develop good practices of line management and regulatory compliance within the team; and lead legal policy work by collaborating closely with colleagues within the UK, France and Greece to create a cohesive, powerful, cross-border legal response and framework.
You will also work closely with the Heads of SPI Greece and France, our International Safeguarding and Protection Manager, Experts by Experience Consultants, and Safe Passage Young Leaders to shape our legal function.

We are working in partnership with the The National Safeguarding Panel (NSP) which was established in June 2014 to support the Church of England’s development of national safeguarding responses, notably in the light of the Chichester Reports. The NSP is an advisory group which has performed a key role in providing reference to, and scrutiny of, the Church’s development of national safeguarding policy and guidance over the last three years.
The NSP is looking to appoint an experienced independent Chair who will lead the National Safeguarding Panel, provide excellent leadership, direction and independent scrutiny and challenge to the Church of England and bring external expertise from holding a highly senior role.
They are looking for an independent chair who:
- Is a gifted leader, who will support the Church of England in further strengthening its safeguarding arrangements and partnerships;
- Is passionate about working collaboratively at all levels, with a proven track record in improvement work at a national level;

Overview / purpose of the role
We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Assistant who is interested in developing a career in bookkeeping and/or accountancy within the nonprofit sector. No previous experience is required, just lots of passion and a motivation to pursue a long-term career in charity finance. Main Conditions of Service
This is a part time position. The post is for 22.5 hours per week. It is expected that the hours will be delivered on 3 full days (to be agreed) each week but alternative arrangements, ie 4.5 hours per day for 5 days, may be acceptable. Duties will occasionally be carried out over evenings and some public holidays. Overtime is not paid but in line with Agile working, hours can be averaged out over a 2-week period.
Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year plus normal bank holidays pro rata. This will rise after each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days – pro rata.

Key Responsibilities
· Strategic Leadership: Direct and oversee all safeguarding activities, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Lead strategic planning and operational delivery within safeguarding domains.
· Service Delivery & Quality Assurance: Develop, review, and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure they are current and compliant with legal requirements.
· Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to safeguarding legislation and manage risks effectively.
· Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop, and quality assure appropriate safeguarding programmes for all staff and volunteers.
· Incident Management: Handle complex safeguarding issues, ensuring swift and decisive action, including referrals to external agencies.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including safeguarding agencies and partners.
· Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and report safeguarding activities to the leadership team, Safeguarding Governance Committee, Board, and relevant entities.
· Commercial Awareness & Innovation: Identify opportunities for commercial growth and innovation in safeguarding commissioning and processes.
· External Influencing: Use external expert stakeholders to better inform practice delivery and proactively horizon scan multi-sectors for future safeguarding opportunities to develop new ways of working and influence wider policy and societal change.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
· Degree in any related field or equivalent work experience.
· Relevant safeguarding certifications covering both children and young people (CYP) and adult safeguarding and protection.
· In depth evidence of comprehensive CPD and how you would deploy this knowledge in post
Experience:
· Extensive experience in a senior leadership role focused on safeguarding across large and complex organisations delivering services, in equal measure, for CYP and adults.
· Evidence of significant experience in delivering on each of the key responsibilities in depth.
· Proven track record in developing, implementing, and evaluating safeguarding policies, procedures, and training programmes.
· Experience managing and influencing teams and individuals on complex safeguarding cases, including conducting risk assessments and coordinating with external agencies.
Skills:
· Exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making critical decisions under pressure.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships and influencing at all levels.
· Ability to train, mentor, and inspire a team, fostering an organisational environment of continuous improvement.
· A serious current working knowledge of the wider social, psychological, and environmental factors impacting safeguarding, with the capability to apply this
· Full awareness of national safeguarding landscapes, including key agencies and their roles, and the capacity to navigate and influence within and out with this ecosystem.
