Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting a Senior Casework and Service Coordinator to assist the Support Services Manager, provide guidance and advice to colleagues, and manage incoming queries from service users.

Rainbow Migration has grown in recent years from a small charity generating £200k income in 2019 to £1M in 2024. The Senior Casework and Service Coordinator is a new role that will take on some of the responsibilities of the Support Services Manager, freeing the manager up to work on service development and strategic matters. 

Responsibilities include:

· Managing systems for incoming service user inquiries

· Casework for service users with the most complex needs or challenges

· Facilitating complex case discussions with colleagues and providing support and guidance

· Ensuring accurate reporting on service delivery outputs, outcomes and trends

· Assisting the Support Services Manager to implement changes in the service

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £36,994 with potential annual step increases up to £41,315 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. Annual Leave: Initially 25 days per year. After two years of employment, this will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata if working part-time).

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Children and Young People’s Service.  The team enables and empowers children, young people and families to thrive, by providing a variety of vibrant and impactful services, activities and events.

This role would suit someone who enjoys and is skilled at supporting families to overcome barriers they face as a result of having a disabled child, including providing one to one support, practical assistance, and group workshops.  Candidates should have experience of working with children, young people and families in a support role.

Key responsibilities

· Ensure parent carers have someone to work alongside them to help to overcome barriers they are facing as a family as a result of their child/’s sensory impairment.

· Provide practical assistance (such as letter writing and attending meetings with a parent carer) where this is needed.  This will include assisting with the Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP) to ensure it accurately reflects their needs.

· To assess and identify when the needs of the children and their families are not being met and work with parents, other professionals, and organisations as appropriate to address the issues with the aim of ensuring that the children have the opportunities and environments that will enable them to reach their potential and achieve their aspirations.

· Reduce loneliness and social isolation for parent carers by both connecting them with wider parent carer support services, and by organising and facilitating opportunities for them to come together, such as through drop-in events at community café’s and parent led support groups.

· Empower and enable parent carers to have the knowledge, skills, confidence, and support they need to advocate for their child/children through organising group training workshops and development around specific topics, creating and sharing resources that will help, and through our Power to The Parents event.

· To support children and young people through transition from children’s services into adult services, engaging with SEND services and adult services where appropriate.

· To follow all policies, including those focused on confidentiality, equality, and diversity. 

· Keep accurate and up to date records of work completed and support provided.

· Create, share and store two anonymised case studies each month which demonstrate the barriers faced by families, and the impact of the service.

· To attend weekend and school holiday activities and events to meet and support the children, young people, and their families at a time that works for them. 

· Ensure the family support service is needs led and inclusive for all.

· Offers first line emotional support to parents and young people as they come to terms with their vision impairment/ multi-sensory impairment as appropriate and make onward referrals where appropriate for more robust assistance, such as through our counselling service. 

· To encourage parents to become involved in activities available to children & their families and to support older children to engage with the 11UP and Young Adults programme as age appropriate.

· To keep up to date with current legislation, local and national policies, research and services and to share these appropriately.

· To be proactive in safeguarding all children and adults from abuse, and report any suspected incidents of abuse, following our policies and procedures which link with the Surrey County Council Safeguarding framework.

· To undertake all mandatory training, and continuous professional development (CPD) 

· To represent the charity at external forums and as appropriate, attend meetings as a representative.

The Learning and Skills Development Co-Ordinator will lead on developing a program of training, learning, volunteering and work experience for the residents of Homeless Oxfordshire that increase self esteem, engagement and motivation. You will work collaboratively and creatively across the organisation, as well as with partners, stake-holders, and the wider community. Improving community relations and help us secure support from local training providers and employers where resident participation in the wider community will help break down stigmas surrounding homelessness and addiction.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Devise and deliver a structured programme of training and education (both formal and informal) to improve our residents' skills and confidence which prepares them for the next stage of their lives.
• As part of the LEAP team work closely with the Activities Co-Ordinator to deliver a comprehensive programme of engagement, developing skills to move away from homelessness.
• Work with partners and residents to design training that is tailored to the needs of our residents.
• Develop and maintain external relationships with local training providers, organisations and employers to find various opportunities and maintain those relationships.
• Support on design of the peer mentoring training and traineeship programmes.
• Identify and support volunteering opportunities.
• Take a strengths-based approach to facilitate teams and residents identifying their talents, skills and build their self-esteem.

LEAP is built on the foundation of strong, supportive relationships that empower residents to move towards stable, independent living. Through one-to-one key worker support, trauma-informed care, and community engagement, residents rebuild trust, form friendships, and gain confidence. Activities like gardening, arts and crafts, and creative writing foster connection and personal growth, while group involvement helps residents feel part of a wider community. LEAP also supports residents to take steps into peer mentoring, volunteering, and training, helping them build positive networks beyond their immediate circle and develop the skills and confidence to thrive independently.

At LEAP, community involvement is at the heart of their work. Empowering residents through co-production is a key organisational goal. LEAP empowers people with lived experience of homelessness and/or addiction, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to move towards independent living and employment. Over three years, the project aims to support 750 individuals. Through a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities, residents will experience positive outcomes such as increased confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of inclusion. They will build supportive networks, learn key life skills and access training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. Many will gain qualifications and secure long-term accommodation. The project strengthens peer support and enables residents to shape services through formalised Residents’ Forums, ensuring their voices influence senior decision-making. For Homeless Oxfordshire, LEAP enhances our capacity to deliver peer-led support, builds staff knowledge, and informs service improvement. Age UK Bromley & Greenwich is seeking a proactive and compassionate Care Navigation Coordinator to lead a small team supporting older people as they transition from hospital back to the community. Based at the ICN Unit at Orpington Hospital, you will work closely with NHS colleagues and local services to ensure people on the Proactive and Frailty pathways receive the non-medical support they need to stay independent and well.

This is a varied and people-centred role, combining direct patient contact with service coordination and staff supervision. You will hold guided conversations with patients, identify support needs, liaise with professionals in health and social care, and ensure that care plans are holistic and person-centred. You'll also support and supervise a small team of Care Navigators and help shape the service through team meetings and collaborative working.

We are looking for someone who is confident working across teams and settings, with strong communication and organisational skills, a working knowledge of health and social care, and a genuine commitment to supporting older people.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating care navigation support for people preparing to leave hospital

• Leading and supporting a small team of Care Navigators

• Liaising with hospital teams, GPs, social workers and voluntary services

• Helping people access local services and make informed decisions about their care

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for 2 Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator’s to join our team.

The Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator (MHPIC) will work as part of the MHPIC team and will work alongside clinical and social care professionals in local multi-disciplinary teams assigned to specific GP surgeries. Each MHPIC will be assigned to a specific locality located within the Integrated Care Network Plus health and social care systems in either North, Central or South Croydon. The multi-disciplinary team learning and development during the initial two-year test period will inform the development and growth of the MHPIC team to ensure that it can support community-based mental health and wellbeing across the whole population and in all 6 Integrated Care Network Plus localities.

MHPICs will provide initial contact and assessment conversations with clients using Open Dialogue tools and techniques to enable people to develop their own Personal Recovery Plans and supporting them directly over a period of time to find and access the support and services available to them in their local community.

Each MHPIC will be the direct named key worker for a set number of people who are referred to the service by healthcare professionals, including GPs, Mental Health Practitioners & Health Care Assistants, Social Prescribers and other voluntary or community sector organisations. They will provide one-to-one support in the achievement of an individual’s recovery goals, ensuring that support is person- centred; that needs and wishes are identified by people themselves; that they have a stronger voice in relation to issues that affect their lives; and that they are supported and empowered to improve and/or maintain their mental health and wellbeing and to live their best independent lives. 

Support in the community includes home visits. The aim of home visits is to assess clients' strengths and needs and link these to agency and community resources, and to ensure that individual clients’ needs can be met within a risk-assessed policy approach.

The charity wants people to know their rights and how to use them. They offer information, advice and support to empower people using care services, and their relatives and friends. As a community of families and experts, they fight for better lives for people in care. They challenge poor care, highlight good practice and demand a better care system.

The Operations Coordinator will be at the heart of the charity's work, supporting their small team to deliver their ambitious aims. You will manage the office to ensure smooth running of processes and help improve efficiency, and provide administrative support across services, campaigns, research and policy work, helping the charity to raise their profile.

Key responsibilities

• Office coordination: Lead the day-to-day office management by developing office policies and procedures, streamlining our systems, acting as first point of contact
• Administration: Provide administrative support across our operations, including finance and fundraising, managing relationships with members and donors
• Governance support: Provide logistical and administrative support to our Governance structures
• Events: Organise Care Rights UK events
• Monitoring: Oversee the capture and tracking of relevant key performance indicators

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as an Office Coordinator or Administrator with strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. You'll be confident working both independently and as part of a small team, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

You'll have solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems, and a commitment to good data management. You will be comfortable working with local policies around confidentiality, safeguarding, and health and safety.

A commitment to the charity's vision and values is a must. Experience or interest in adult social care and working with older people is desirable, as is knowledge of Beacon CRM, Zoom, and Mailchimp.

This is a part time role, in a small charity, within a fast-paced environment. You will be working as part of a friendly, dedicated staff team and alongside colleagues who are experts in their field. There will be opportunities for co-learning and sharing knowledge and skills. You will have full right to work in the UK and the role is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check.

The office is currently located near Angel. The charity will be moving later in 2025, and it is very likely that the office will still be in North/East London.

JOB PURPOSE:

• To lead on the development of a healthy childhood programme for children and young people living in Sparkhill.
• To provide a range of activities for children, young people and their families which promote physical exercise and healthy eating.
• To promote the referral uptake from a range of services including the School Nurse Service, Family Hubs and GP practices.
