In this exciting role, the successful candidate will provide the organisation with a timely, accurate and relevant financial management service by assuming day-to-day responsibility for the organisation’s accounting function, to enable the senior management team and the Board of Trustees to assess results and performance and make informed, strategic decisions, and ensure the organisation complies with statutory and corporate regulation and requirements.
You will work closely with the treasurer, directors and managers to enable them to manage their programme finances and support them to report to donors and to devise sound plans for growth and sustainability.
The UK chapter expects to grow income across all sources, including from institutions and foundations. You will play a critical role in maintaining and building on this success.
You will also be responsible for and provide input from a financial and management perspective on strategic development and the general organisation-wide structure and management as part of the Senior Management Team.

The Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure that unpaid carers have access to the information and advice they need when they need it and to help them carry on caring for how long as they wish to do so whilst looking after their own health.
Main duties
(i) To be the first point of contact for all unpaid carer wishing to access a service provided by Carers in Hertfordshire
(ii) To identify carers’ needs and provide information, advice and support to unpaid carers, primarily by telephone and email
(iii) To support unpaid carers with advice through case work and to manage own caseload, prioritising cases as appropriate.
(iv) To contribute to capturing unpaid carers’ experiences through careful record-keeping using organisational systems.
(v) To source, collate and maintain organisational knowledge of local and national service provision appropriate to unpaid carers’ needs.
(vi) To attend some meetings and events for unpaid carers.
(vii) To support the early identification of unpaid carers through the maintenance of collaborative relationships with other service providers and the provision of information on unpaid carers’ issues to Carers in Hertfordshire’s provider networks.
(viii) To ensure unpaid carers are aware of all Carers in Hertfordshire services and can use them, according to their wishes.

Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
- To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year. Role:The Senior Development Officer plays an integral role within the Development Team at Forces Employment Charity (FEC). The Services Manager (Housing) will primarily focus on the managing New Horizon's Housing Advice service, delivered both from the day centre and remotely. You will work with the Head of Services to ensure the service responds holistically to young people with multiple needs or barriers. You should be experienced in the housing and homelessness sector, be a passionate advocate for young people. and have the ability to motivate a team to deliver high quality services in a fast-paced environment. You should be skilled in partnership management and able to collaborate to identify new housing solutions for young people.
