We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legacy & In Memory Manager to join our Commercial Directorate at Help for Heroes. This pivotal role will shape and maximise one of our most important income streams, ensuring we can continue delivering life-changing support for the Armed Forces community.

Legacy and In Memory income contributes over half of all fundraised income, making this a strategically significant role with the opportunity to drive meaningful and lasting impact. About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Mass Fundraising, you will lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of our Gifts in Wills and In Memory programmes. You’ll shape strategies that drive sustainable income growth, ensure operational excellence, and deliver exceptional stewardship for supporters, families and executors.

You will oversee all aspects of legacy marketing, legacy administration and in-memory giving, ensuring compliance, accuracy and sensitivity in this specialist area. You will also provide clear reporting and forecasting to track performance and identify future income opportunities. Working collaboratively across the charity, you’ll embed best practice, enhance supporter journeys and maximise long-term income opportunities.

As a senior leader, you will guide and develop a skilled team of five, championing a culture of collaboration, learning and data-led decision-making.

About You

You’ll be a strategic, compassionate and resourceful leader with a strong background in legacy fundraising, legacy administration and/or in memory giving. You’ll bring both technical expertise and emotional intelligence — able to oversee sensitive stewardship activity, manage complex matters confidently and influence stakeholders at all levels.

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £43,495 to £65,242. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £47,845 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. The Volunteer Experience Project aims to create a volunteering journey that is inclusive, engaging, and impactful, one where every volunteer feels welcomed, valued, and supported. A key focus is ensuring our volunteer community better reflects the diversity of the communities we seek to serve.

Context and purpose of role

The Volunteer Experience Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the volunteer program within the Ramblers. This role involves recruiting, training, managing, and retaining volunteers, ensuring they have a meaningful and impactful experience. The Volunteer Experience Manager works closely with various departments to align volunteer efforts with the organisation’s mission and goals.

The role will report directly to the Head of People Experience.

Peer support groups are an essential part of South East London Mind services. They differ from other forms of mental health services support as participants play an active role in creating an environment for each other where they can use their shared experiences to give and receive support.

The Southwark Women’s Forum is a monthly peer support group led by and for women aged 18+ who are resident in the London Borough of Southwark and are experiencing low to moderate mental health needs. Trans women are welcome to use this service. There are two different groups and we are currently seeking a skilled female group facilitator, with lived experience of mental ill health, to lead and deliver the second cohort on the penultimate Friday of each month.

We hope to expand this service, and with the help of a lived experience co-facilitator, you will ensure that it is a friendly and comfortable space for new and existing participants who may feel isolated or lack confidence due to their mental health. To keep the service running efficiently, you will also monitor group attendance, distribute and collect feedback forms as required, and assist the women with any signposting needs. 

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.

You’ll be the face of the Foundation in the area, able to build strong and trusting relationships and be an advocate for community organisations across the patch. You will also play a pivotal role in sharing learning, intelligence and insights to ensure the Foundations’ strategy development, delivery and relationship with the Lloyds Banking Group considers regional needs and the operating context of our funded partners.

Jerry Green Dog Rescue is looking for an inspiring, self-motivated and target-driven Fundraising and Volunteer Manager who can hit the ground running. You will oversee Community Fundraising and Volunteering at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, and will be instrumental in setting the future strategy for Community Fundraising from individuals, groups and corporates, as well as leading on the Volunteering strategy for across the charity.

This role is Hybrid – minimum 1 day per fortnight at one of our centres (Nottinghamshire, North Lincolnshire, South Lincolnshire), with travel across our regions to support your team and visit our centres and shops as required. Post: Grants / Fundraising Manager

Job Purpose

The Grants & Fundraising Manager will play a lead role in maintaining and growing Umbrella’s income, with a primary focus on grant fundraising and the development of corporate partnerships. Working closely with the CEO, Trustees and staff teams, the post holder will strengthen existing income streams, identify new opportunities, and support the development of Umbrella’s fundraising strategy. This role is central to ensuring the sustainability and expansion of Umbrella’s services for disabled children, young people and their families.

• Support the roll-out and delivery of Umbrella’s corporate engagement programme.
• Steward existing corporate supporters to maximise long-term value.
• Work with the CEO and trustees to build relationships with community groups (e.g., Freemasons, Rotary, sports clubs) to secure fundraising support and “charity of the year” partnerships.
• To work with the CEO to produce and implement Umbrella’s Fundraising plan and to report regularly to the Fundraising Marketing and Communications Sub- Group on progress against agreed targets.

Person Specification

Education

• Educated to degree level or have the equivalent experience in fundraising, income generation or relevant roles within the charity sector or similar organisation.

Experience

We are looking for a highly engaging Volunteering and Community Partnerships Manager to lead and grow on the recruitment, development and retention of our pool of volunteers. You will work across the team to ensure all volunteers are well-supported, feel valued, and are making meaningful contributions to the charities mission. Step-Out Mentoring is an early intervention mentoring organisation that provides support for children and young people in the heart of South London through outdoor based 1:1 mentoring and group workshops. We work with children and young people aged 8-18 who are disengaged with education and/or life, referred to our service from Social care, GP’s, Mental health services and schools. Our mentors are all volunteers from the community who are trained to become youth mentors and matched to young people for weekly mentoring sessions.

Our mission is to equipe young people with the skills and emotional resilience to thrive in life. We provide a safe environment for disengaged children and young people to work through their challenges and reconnect with the community.

As a small and growing charity our staff team are embedded in all aspects of the work we do so it is encouraged that all staff engage in the activities with the young people including trips, residentials, mentoring and workshops. 

You will be leading on ensuring the charity has a steady stream of passionate volunteers and will be able to provide excellent support for them as they start their journeys of mentoring young people. You will also be leading on organising a yearly events calandar of community events and fundraisers. The Research Manager at Healthwatch Hounslow will be an experienced manager of community-focused projects or programmes.

You will be comfortable with all aspects of research – from scoping, to desk research, to fieldwork, to analysis and writing reports. You will be a clear and confident communicator, whether producing concise, engaging content such as reports, or resenting/speaking in meetings or at events.

The Facilities Manager will ensure a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment across Charleston’s two sites at Firle and in central Lewes. The postholder will oversee the day-to-day facilities operations of both sites, including security, building maintenance and health & safety procedures.This role requires the post holder to carry out physically demanding tasks such as moving furniture and other manual handling.

Duties and responsibilities
Operations and facilities

• Responsibility for the management of Charleston’s buildings and facilities.
• Coordinate and oversee cleaning, maintenance, utilities, and supplies, ensuring smooth, cost-effective operations.
• Manage supplier and contracts relationships including waste management, building maintenance, cleaning and security; review chosen suppliers against Charleston’s criteria including value for money.
• Act as the main contact for tenants and ensure efficient resolution of queries.
• Oversee the relationship with the external IT provider to ensure organisational IT requirements are met and value for money achieved.
• Work closely with the Head of Collections and Research and Head of Exhibitions to maintain excellent environmental conditions for the protection of the house and objects.
• Proactively improve the sites in collaboration with the Visitor Experience Manager, leading on wayfinding, sustainability, and access initiatives.

Site maintenance

• Schedule and manage routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance.

• Carry out maintenance requirements and lead on scheduling external contractors as required.
• Schedule regular contractors as required for servicing and maintenance visits.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ project management experience and direct experience supporting refugees and asylum seekers, with strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to speak a community language is desirable.
