Programme Facilitators work with significant autonomy and authority. They must embrace responsibility and are accountable for their work. They work collaboratively alongside young people, operating as a mentor as they empower young people to develop self-esteem, become resilient and engage with school and their own future. Our Head of Community Services is a key leadership role in our Services and Support directorate, as part of our Services Delivery function.

Our Community Services delivery team includes our Community Support/ Resources services. 

Our Head of Community Services will be:

• leading on the delivery and continuous improvement of our Community based services, developing a high-performing and motivated culture within teams.
• providing clear leadership to ensure our community services and support are high quality, impactful and respond directly to the needs of the MS community
• responsible for our community services in our Live Well activity group and drive a one model approach across all of our services and support.

• experience in the delivery of community based services and support, including volunteer led services, events and services delivered by third parties. Including experience in quality assurance, development and meeting key performance indicators and ensuring community input and satisfaction.

Purpose of the role

The Prospect Research Manager will be instrumental in identifying and unlocking the potential of these supporters.

This strategic role sits at the heart of our Development team, building and maintaining a data-led pipeline of high-impact donors to advance ZSL’s conservation science, fieldwork, and education. By leading on prospect research, philanthropic analysis, and network mapping, the postholder will help ensure ZSL’s fundraising efforts are focused, proactive, and aligned with our organisational priorities.

The Prospect Research Manager will play a key role in overseeing best practices in prospecting across the team. From crafting research tools to spotting new funding opportunities, this role will directly support the success of ZSL’s fundraising programmes and, ultimately, our mission to save wildlife around the world.

This is a part-time role, with the option of working either 2 days (15 hours) or 3 days (21.5 hours) per week which can be spread flexibly over 5 days. We see a real benefit in face to face collaboration and staff work from our London offices regularly.  We understand that flexibility is important and for this research-based role we are happy to discuss working location on a case-by-case basis with candidates.

The full-time equivalent (FTE) salary for this role is £36,750-£43,050, which equates to a pro-rata salary of:

About You

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To develop, implement and evaluate the Banter Project youth service in partnership with adopted young people in Northern Ireland.  These young people range in age from 14-25 years and live throughout Northern Ireland.  The role will primarily work with the project participants, but has additional relationships with community organisations, educational establishments and employers to ensure that all project goals and outcomes are efficiently and effectively met.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To lead the development and delivery of all elements of the Banter Project adopted young people’s service within Northern Ireland in a fun, interactive, interesting and an ability appropriate manner.

• To support the project participants to play an active role in the design and implementation of a programme of monthly activities for adopted young people. Sustaining and developing a monthly social hub, supporting the development of basic life-skills, and preparation for opportunities in further education, training, employment.

• To support a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) in its role to enable adopted young people to steer the Banter Project while developing skills which promote independence, personal development, social and life skills, leadership, and community involvement.

• To organise and supervise the work of the Youth Services Support Worker to deliver the Banter Project. 

• To provide opportunities to connect with, and signpost to, relevant services, particularly those who work with care experienced young people.

• To develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation to review individual goals, track progress and impact, via data and analysis of outcomes to assess effectiveness and areas for improvement.

• To record service activity using the electronic data management systems to collate in preparation for reporting and learning opportunities.

• To gather output and outcome data from the Banter Project service in accordance with the quality assurance systems within AUK.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens (BBG) is looking for a highly motivated Development Officer with  experience to join the small but dedicated Development Team to raise funds to retore and preserve the Gardens for the benefit of everyone now, and for future generations. 
Purpose of Role

This exciting new role is vital to increase the income generating capacity of BBG’s Development Team to enable the charity to deliver its purpose and major development over the next 4+ years. In July BBG was awarded an NLHF grant of £9.075m, and has successfully raised over 90% of the capital funds needed. The priority is to close the capital funding gap in accordance with our fundraising strategy and increase funding for other projects and the day-to-day operation the charity, long term. BBG receives no public subsidy and must raise all income from visitors, trading, events and fundraising. The Development Officer post has been created to increase fundraised income for the charity, cultivating and stewarding an expanded and sustained funding and supporter base.

In line with current priorities, the postholder will be required to raise commercial sponsorship income, and income from major donors/individuals to meet capital and operational targets/KPI’s. The postholder will be expected to create sponsor/donor packages, deliver cultivation events and steward donors and supporters on all aspects of fundraising as directed. The postholder will have experience of managing sponsorship agreements to ensure value, compliance and delivery of benefits. 

The role will share responsibility for the management of data, compliance and stewardship of growing funding streams and support the administration of the Development Function. The Development Team raises and manages funds from grants, trusts and foundations, individuals, organisations, business, legacies, etc, and the new postholder will work with the highly effective and dedicated team of Development Director and Development Manager and with the wider BBG team.

Key Responsibilities

· Achieve income and performance targets in accordance with BBG’s agreed Fundraising Strategy and business needs, as directed by the Development Director.

· Raise funding with compelling case for support from sponsors/from individuals, to meet the targets of the Major project, and  fundraising from other sources such as grants, as agreed.

· Contribute to managing BBG’s development/fundraising function data, ensuring accuracy of data and information on BBG’s Spektrix/CRM system to comply with internal requirements and the Data Protection Act.

· Work with Horticultural, Marketing, Learning & Engagement, Finance Teams and other staff to formulate proposals, maximising opportunities for raising funds to support core functions and projects, once the capital is secured.

· Manage funding contracts with sponsors and those of all Development funders -including payment schedules, high quality impact reports, monitoring and compliance with any conditions of funding.

· High quality personalised stewarding of all donors and supporters, ensuring BBG’s reputation as an exemplary charity is maintained. Respectful approach in all fundraising.

· Research and cultivating funding prospects and submitting high quality well-researched applications, securing new supporters and interest within the wider funding strategy.

· Work with Marketing to manage fundraising messaging and communications, including digital, print and press coverage, all in accordance with fundraising regulation. Liaise with BBG Finance staff to ensure reporting meets BBG’s wider business and charitable requirements.

About the role

The Senior Adviser post is a new role to increase capacity within our small and friendly Advice and Information Team. The Senior Adviser will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based, advice and information by email and phone to Coram BAAF members. Our enquirers are primarily social workers at all levels including senior managers, along with associated professionals in health, legal and other areas of children’s social care.

The role will also support our Outbound Permanence Service which provides specialist advice and resources for local authorities across the UK seeking to place a looked after child with relatives overseas, and also offers training and consultancy.
