Responsible for 

§  To provide operational leadership, management, performance review, maintain quality, monitoring, improve ways of working, develop staff and lead the development and implementation of the MfM Services for the benefit of our clients.

§  Representing MfM at a senior and strategic level with external partners. 

§  Support and build strategic direction for MFM.

§  Deputise for the CEO and to ensure that current and future operations continue on a sustainable and viable basis and can evidence positive outcomes and value

§  Work as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to develop, grow and sustain MfM. 

§  Managing the office and the staff team and any of their direct reports to include volunteers, sessional workers and placement students.

§  Manage and develop the Volunteer Program.

§  Communicating and liaising with the internal staff/volunteer team and external agencies and services to include liaising with other mental health/ maternity care service providers and VCSE organisations to cross-refer.  

§  Delivering training sessions for staff and volunteer, sessional workers and placements.

§  Managing regular Co-ordinators meetings  

§  Offering quarterly management supervision to staff team.

§  Offering regular management supervision group for volunteers.  

§  Assist with the co-ordinating of supervision arrangements for the Staff team and placement students.

§  Publicise service across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

§  Demonstrate an ability to empathise, encourage and support women towards recovery.

§  Promote MfM services to women during activities, as appropriate.

§  Collect and collate data, arrange for completion of monitoring and evaluation forms. Write timely reports giving feedback on the services for the CEO and for project funders.

§  Work in close collaboration with MfM colleagues in the development of the services to act in the best interests of MfM at all times. 

§  Triage and manage the waiting lists for the services.

§  Supporting women as required within project work.

We are looking for someone who can enable effective delivery and growth of Bishops Castle and Leominster Youth Hubs across the Clun Forest, Pontesbury, Leominster and Kington & Weobley Deanery areas.

To ensure effective local research and evaluation in partnership with The Cinnamon Trust and Church Army Research Unit and learning opportunities in collaboration with the Church of England Vision & Strategy Team. 

Youth Hubs will have a focus on:

• Reaching young people with the Gospel
• Developing new young active disciples
• Forming of New Worshipping Communities
• Growing Young Leaders
• Developing new volunteer leaders and teams

35 Hours per week Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work

Main aim of the role: 

Playing a vital role within our expanding youth support team at Future Skills, you will work to support and empower our young people to re-engage and return to education and employment. You will be creating structured lesson plans to deliver high quality soft skills sessions. You will also build positive relationships with the young people, fellow professionals, parents and carers as this is key to this role.

In addition to that, you will work with the team here at Caius House to help deliver an after-school programme for young people, usually one evening per week. To this effect, you will work with both the FST team and the team on-site at Caius House.

About the Role

We provide open access and targeted play and youth work activities. Our after-school adventure play provision is Ofsted registered and provides activities for 6-13 year olds. Our youth provision engages with young people aged 11+ after school and during the evenings, in centres and on the streets.

Our work enables often disadvantaged children and young people the opportunity to learn, develop and connect with their communities, build safe and supportive relationships with committed workers, and let off steam on our adventure playgrounds.

About the Role:

As a Group Work Practitioner, you will be delivering a range of group work courses and programmes to adults affected by crime in the Thames Valley. You will be required to manage your own caseload and work in collaboration with other service delivery staff within the Thames Valley Adult Victims Service.

The Thames Valley Adult Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will primarily be delivered through specialist group work provision, alongside online and telephone support.

You will be confident in co facilitating the delivery of group work programmes to people with a range of different needs and will have strong empathy skills. You will need to be able to talk to groups of people and will be resilient and confident with supporting others, as well as happy to work as part of a team.

You will need to have the ability to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner. In partnership with HMP Liverpool and Liverpool City Council we run CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) a programme which offers a supportive, caring and stimulating environment for older people in prison. As Assistant Manager you will assist in setting up an innovative and engaging day centre which will provide meaningful activity and positive relationships, improves wellbeing, reduces social isolation and offers opportunities for rehabilitative interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build positive relationships with service users and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal and external agencies in order to develop innovative and collaborative approaches to meet the needs of the prisoner cohort
• Assist the Manager in ensuring that all relevant administration, data collection and analysis is collated and reported on, including monthly and annual reports to line management
• Be an active part of the wider CAMEO team, bringing meaningful contributions to team meetings, departmental strategy and development of the wider CAMEO programme
• Contribute to any security checks, planning and risk assessments as needed

About the Role

We are looking for someone who has a passion and expertise for establishing positive and productive relationships with families and a commitment to their participation in the life of the church. The main focus of this role will be to work with us to develop our pastoral care and work programme for children and families within the church. About You

You should have a nationally recognised qualification in Children’s, Youth or Community work or equivalent experience evidenced for the role.

You should have the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the Church’s work with families, especially knowledge of Safeguarding and child protection procedures.

You should have proven experience of working with children and families in a paid or voluntary capacity in previous roles. This is an essential criteria.

You should have excellent people skills (both adult and youth), good organisational ability and be adept at creative thinking.

You should have a professional and positive approach, with a commitment to professional development and self‑improvement. Undertaking Core Skills Family Ministries Training will be an early opportunity to demonstrate this.

About the role:

This role is based at Accrington. Once your probation period is completed you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will be:

• Focusing on victims of domestic abuse, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service
• Supporting victims face to face & over the telephone
• Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs & risk assessment
• Providing advocacy, emotional & practical support and information to victims including legal & civil options, housing, health & finance and support through the criminal justice system.
• Participating in multi-agency meetings acting as the voice of the client

You will need to:

• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
• Have theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, to prioritise work and deal with competing demands demonstrating an organised and methodical approach to work
• Have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals
• Demonstrate the ability to use IT applications competently including, Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Case Management systems in order to keep accurate records and monitoring your performance.
• This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
