We are currently in search of a passionate and committed individual to join us to lead weekly group sessions for young people. The role involves designing, leading, and facilitating various activities and sessions aimed at improving wellbeing, community connections and building resilience. Are you passionate about empowering and supporting carers?
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Queen’s Award winning charity supporting unpaid carers in the London borough of Redbridge. About the role:
You will be a Social Worker supporting our Hospice at Home team, working within a strong multi-professional organisation that is committed to providing holistic care for our patients. You’ll be part of a great team of experienced professionals from who you can learn from and learn with, delivering support you can take pride in. The role also provides the opportunity to contribute more widely to Hospice clinical services including teaching, audit, and research.
About You
You will have well developed counselling and advocacy skills and be able to develop effective working relationships with other health and social care professionals in the area.
A knowledge of and experience of statutory social work in health and social care, safeguarding procedures and multi-disciplinary working are essential. You will have an excellent understanding of the social service system, and the ability to work with diverse communities.
Strong communication and people skills are fundamental as you will be required to work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring every patient and their needs are always at the heart of what you do.

SENIOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY WORKER

Enact have a vacancy for a Senior Youth and Community Worker to lead our open-access community youth provision. We are looking for an experienced youth practitioner to manage our youth team and work within the enact team to develop a range of engaging activities and training opportunities for young people with particular focus on those aged 10 to 19 in the Enfield community.
The Senior Youth and Community Worker needs to be a passionate, enthusiastic and professional. They will lead the youth team to create community-based opportunities for the whole family, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis. The Senior Youth worker will also support the enact team to develop and be involved in community cohesion projects involving children, families and youth.

As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. YMCA DownsLink Group’s WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) Project is an innovative, award winning project working across East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and Surrey, with children and young people experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation; as well as raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and other forms of Child Criminal Exploitation.
We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones.
This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.

You will need to feel confident in delivering training and consultancy support to other professionals around exploitation, as well as working with a multi-agency approach and skilled at developing relationships with other agencies. Being able to work autonomously, manage your time and workload while also working closely with the wider WiSE team is essential.
