We are currently in search of a passionate and committed male older peoples’ programme worker to join our team and lead a weekly a men’s group, as part of the thriving Over 50’s programme. The role involves designing, leading, and facilitating various activities and sessions aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing, and improving community connection amongst older people. Join Dementia UK as a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Support Officer and have the opportunity to work with a team who have a shared focus of collaborating and improving the lives of families living with dementia through the learning experience of Admiral Nurses.
Collaborating closely with our Academy Coordinator and team members, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing the Admiral Nurse Academy’s learning management system, Blackboard, to ensure it offers Admiral Nurses high quality learning opportunities. You’ll harness various digital tools and applications like Articulate, Vyond, and Padlet to craft captivating content. The preferred candidate will have high-level knowledge of learning management systems and the digital tools used in online learning. You will have experience of working or studying in online education or training, being able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. You will be able to work in a deadline driven production environment and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously working with internal and external stakeholders.

About the opportunity
Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships.
We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of three Fundraising Coordinators, through which you and your team will prepare and submit grant applications and funding reports, alongside overseeing the development and growth of our individual giving activities and initiatives, including through expansion of our fundraising events and campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities

As part of the four strong events team, this role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of numerous educational events throughout the year. Main Purpose and Deliverables

- End to end event, speaker and customer support specifically for the TTT and CESR events and as delegated for the education and seminar programme.

Harris Hill has an exciting opportunity for an Marketing and Communications Planner to join an international children's charity for 2-3 months on a temporary basis.
This role is hybrid based with 1dpw in their London office. There may be some flexibility on this for the right person.
The role is hourly paid, paid weekly (£45k equivalent) plus holiday pay. The ideal candidate would have either a Communications Planner background from an agency side or a Marketing campaigns manager from other areas. Further details below.
As a Communications Planner, you are responsible for ensuring their external voice is coherent, optimised, and unified. Sitting in the Strategic Communications Team, you play a key role in ensuring their Public Engagement directorate, Advocacy and Partnerships & Philanthropy teams focus on the right activities in the right way to meet objectives. This role ensures they have the right communications plans, performance monitoring and coordination across the organisation to achieve outcomes for children. Working closely with the Insight team, this role champions the use of insight to ensure it is at the heart of all decision making.
Knowledge and skills needed
Has a good understanding of marketing communications theory, and the intuition to land on the best approach to a given situation.
Comfortable writing high level strategic briefs, as well as identifying the data and insights needed to support them.
Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and working knowledge of when and how to apply them to a given business or communications challenge; knows how to brief internal and external researchers.
Ability to work across different groups and disciplines, and has sound judgement in pushing the work, elevating the ambition of communications, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver outputs that are ‘on’ strategy.
Understands the creative process and is a valued partner to the creative teams.
Excellent stakeholder and programme management skills to optimise the use of resources
Able to build and maintain credibility and trust at all levels of the organisation

We are seeking to recruit a person with Recovery Services experience plus knowledge and experience of developing and implementing Family and Friends events both domestically and internationally.
The successful candidate will work from the RBL Battle Back Centre, Lilleshall at least two days per week. The Recovery Family and Friends Manager will lead on the development of the RBL Recovery Services Friends and Family strategy, which will aim to engage over 1500 people annually, including family, friends, ambassadors, and volunteers.
The role holder will oversee the design, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of a range of class leading events and programmes, across the UK and internationally. The role holder will be required to work collaboratively with the Team UK Manager, Recovery Programmes Manager and Recovery Pathways Manager to ensure programmes are carefully mapped to wider Recovery Services activity.
