Position Overview:
The Programme Specialist is critical in supporting the delivery of a high-impact employability and skills development programme. Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination:

   • Assist in managing day-to-day activities of the programme, including onboarding, skills assessments, and skills development of participants.

   • Track progress against programme milestones (e.g., participant enrollment and completion rates) and flag delays to the Programme Lead.

2. Participant Support:

   • Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on programme resources, training modules, and job search tools.

   • Maintain accurate participant records, including attendance, skill assessments, and post-program outcomes.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Support the Programme Lead in building relationships with internal stakeholders.

   • Prepare regular reports for the Programme Lead to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact to funders/stakeholders.

5. Logistics & Compliance:

   • Manage programme materials, including training resources, digital platforms, and participant handbooks.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.

• Skills:

We are a small and friendly team of Trustees who are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us and become a Trustee for our wonderful charity, Wiltshire Portage. Wiltshire Portage supports families who have children aged birth to school entry with additional needs, empowering parents and carers to help their children to reach their full potential as they transition into school and beyond.

There has been a rise in the number of children who have additional needs over the past few years and research has shown that early intervention is vital in helping these children to develop. At Wiltshire Portage, we have a team of experienced Home Visitors who regularly visit families who have young children with additional needs. During visits, Home Visitors identify areas of support that are needed and deliver child-led learning activities through play. Having a child with additional needs can be challenging and Home Visitors are also able to support parents and carers; providing information and sign posting them to organisations who can help.

As a charity, Wiltshire Portage relies on a team of Trustees to work with the CEO in the running of the charity. Trustees are asked to attend a meeting (this is currently carried out virtually) once every two months in the evening.

No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference, supporting them to become safe and more resilient by enabling our volunteers and staff to have the right equipment and resources to do the job. As an Operational Support Team Member, you’ll support St John Ambulance in deploying equipment to events and activities within your community, as well as support the maintaining of equipment to ensure networks are properly resourced.

Overview
No Panic is a national charity providing desperately needed support to people suffering from anxiety.

We are seeking volunteers with experience of researching financial costs, to assist fundraisers in our Large Funding Applications Team, by providing figures they need to apply for funding. Funding that helps the charity sustain and grow the services offered to our members.

If you are enthusiastic about helping No Panic to develop further as a charity and expand the number of anxiety sufferers they support, and have experience in assessing financial costs, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.

Activities

Research and evaluate running costs, such as salaries, rent, equipment and expenses.

Compile the figures, and present them to the Large Funding Applications Team fundraisers.

Who are you?

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills and experiences. You don’t need to have volunteered or worked in the sector before as full training will be provided. What’s important to us is that you are a team player, open to learning and willing to follow RSBC’s policies and can be an excellent ambassador for RSBC. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of sight problems. 

What’s in it for me?

RSBC offers the opportunity to gain insight and experience into helping others with sight issues. As part of your volunteering, you will have access to Sighted Guide training, a training session designed to help you understand the issues and complexities of sight problems and give you the ability to help others navigate the world.

RSBC also provides paid expenses for your volunteering experience, you can claim up to £10 per day.

RSBC can also provide references and impact reports from your volunteering if required. 

You will be fully supported in your role by our team of expert and compassionate service delivery team.

Safeguarding:  

Due to the nature of the role, before you can begin volunteering with RSBC there are some required safeguarding checks which will need to be completed.

All RSBC volunteers undergo an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by RSBC) and must provide two references.

All volunteers will also be booked onto safeguarding training.

RSBC risk assesses all its services and activities.

We have a huge breadth of volunteer roles at Cats Protection, including caring for cats, fundraising, in our shops and many more! We also need volunteers to help us be more efficient, effective and to ensure we comply with charity law and governance.  

The purpose of the Audit & Risk Committee is to assist the Board of Trustees in fulfilling its obligations in respect of financial and governance reporting, internal control and risk. Our Audit & Risk Committee volunteers contribute to a well-run organisation, and their time and expertise help our Committee work in the best, most effective way possible.

The Board of Trustees delegates authority to the Committee to oversee the Cats Protection financial reporting process. This ensures the balance, transparency and integrity of published financial information to:

• ensure that there is a framework for accountability
• examine systems and methods of control, with particular emphasis on risk management and the effective use of risk-based outsourced internal audit receive reports from external auditors and consider rotation of audit partners
• ensure that Cats Protection is complying with statutory and regulatory requirements and good practice
• ensure implementation of recommendations from internal and external auditors
• ensure ongoing objectivity and independence

Your role will also include:

• attending Committee meetings
• reading papers
• preparing for meetings
• raising appropriate challenge or concerns undertaking any actions required in the agreed timescales
• supporting the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee
• keeping informed about the activities of the charity and wider issues affecting the charity and the Audit & Risk Committee in particular

Time expectation

Our Audit & Risk Committee meets three times a year (twice in person in London and once virtually) and our volunteers normally spend a total of three years in this role.

About the Project – “Solta o Jogo”
Solta o Jogo is a vibrant cultural competition and festival celebrating Brazilian heritage through Capoeira, music, dance, acrobatics, and a Brazilian arts & crafts fair. Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, the event invites the community to participate in free performances, workshops, and exhibitions promoting cross-cultural understanding.

As part of this initiative, we are seeking a dedicated Admin Assistant to support the day-to-day coordination and administrative operations behind this exciting and community-driven programme.

Position Overview:
The Admin Assistant will play a vital role in supporting communication, event coordination, documentation, and volunteer tracking. This position is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, event logistics, and team coordination. The role offers flexibility, skill development opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Coordination Support

• Schedule and manage logistics for project events, workshops, and community showcases.

• Track bookings, rehearsals, and venue use to ensure a smooth timeline.

• Support RSVP management and communication for performances and activities.

Data & Documentation Management

• Maintain and organise project records such as attendance sheets, registration forms, and feedback.

• Ensure digital files are properly stored and accessible for all team members.

• Assist in compiling reports and summaries post-events.

Communication & Liaison

• Serve as a contact point for public and internal queries related to the project.

• Help coordinate communication between departments involved in the project (HR, Marketing, PR, Finance).

Resource & Inventory Support

• Track inventory of promotional and event materials.

• Assist in coordinating procurement and delivery of materials for activities and performances.

Volunteer Coordination

• Monitor onboarding progress of volunteers engaged in Solta o Jogo.

• Assist with preparing and maintaining volunteer schedules.

• Provide administrative support during volunteer briefings and training.

General Administrative Duties

• Take meeting minutes and circulate action items.

• Help draft internal updates, task lists, and team reminders.

• Provide general clerical support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Education:
No specific degree required, but experience in administration, event coordination, or office support is desirable.

What is the time commitment?
