A bit about this role
As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. What can you expect to be doing?
This is a really flexible role – you can choose what you’d like to get involved with:

CPRE London’s events schedule (see website) is growing fast and, with more and more people attending, we now need someone to assist with the management. The role will be to help organise and manage all aspects of our online and occasional in-person events.
We are currently seeking individuals with event management skills and with a passion for environmental conservation to join our team. The role needs 3-4 hours of your time per week with the flexibility to be able to attend online events, especially the lunchtime webinars online, (usually 3rd Thursday of the month); occasional evening in-person meetings (possibly 2 or 3 times a year). Ideally our volunteers will be able to offer a commitment of 6 months or more.
An events volunteer will help CPRE with the work involving multiple events, including the "Urban Tree Festival" and "London Rivers Week". Successful candidates will get the opportunity to participate in a range of fun and interesting events across summer months.

Volunteering at Memory Walk is an incredible experience. You and hundreds of others across the country will help us to run 12 inspiring walks that raise vital funds, providing help and hope to people affected by dementia. Memory Walks simply couldn't happen without incredible volunteers, and we do our best to make it a day to remember.
There are three roles to choose from when volunteering at a Memory Walk:
- Event Site - Volunteer roles include selling merchandise and handing out medals at the finish line.
- Route Marshal - Route volunteers are essential to guide walkers and keep enthusiasm high. All route marshals will be paired, so you'll never be alone on the route.
- Back Markers - Back markers have the unique advantage of walking the whole route alongside our participants, taking down route signage and releasing route marshals along the way.
You can expect:
- A fantastic day outdoors in your local community.
- A face-to-face briefing from the Events Team before the event starts where you'll chat through your role for the day. There'll be plenty of time to ask any questions you may have.
- A chance to explore the event site and hang a tag on the Memory Walk Memory Tree in honour of your loved ones.
- Satisfaction, knowing that you're helping to raise vital funds and providing help and hope to people affected by dementia.
- Volunteer arrival time is typically 8:45am.

Public Programme Volunteers are a big part of making sure our diverse range of events go off without a hitch. They’re creative, enthusiastic, and great with people. They’re also keen to get stuck in and learn more about how public programmes in the heritage sector are put together and delivered.
The museum offers a range of public programming throughout the year but particularly in the summer (Wednesday to Sunday), and during Holiday periods (Monday to Sunday): February Half Term, Easter Holidays, May Half Term and October Half Term. We are looking for volunteers who are available during these periods to support with a range of activities.
How you will help
- Providing a friendly greeting for all visitors.

Purpose of the Role
This volunteer role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering a range of services across Hounslow. Mind The Carer! is a new service designed to support and enhance Mental Health and Wellbeing, social connections and provide a Community Network for Adults Carers, (18 years and over), across the borough of Hounslow. By providing this direct support, we aim to reduce isolation, self-neglect and loneliness and as a result, facilitate access to local services and connect them with others who understand their day-to-day experiences. The Service will offer a platform and space for the Service Users to build Social Networks, through regular activities, provide psychoeducation, information and social prescribing pathways to other services, with Service Users shaping the project's direction and available support.
Main Responsibilities
To work closely with the team and Adult Services, Service Manager, attend weekly group sessions, (lasting up to three hours), offering opportunities for socialising and mental health support. Support with the Carers Activities Calendar, a monthly activity, for both Carers and their Cared For, as planned and support the service in general. There may also be further opportunities to train as a volunteer for other Services, in the future.
Tasks
All relevant training will be provided
- Attend weekly group sessions, (lasting up to three hours), with the team
- Attend weekly Carers Activities
- Attend monthly Carers and Cared For Activities
- Support/work with the Team to build the Carers Activities Calendar
- Provide information on the Mind The Carer! Service
- Support at outreach and community events

About Kith & Kids
We provide activities, opportunities, information, and support for people with a learning disability or autism, their parents, and siblings.
For all our projects and activities we are dependent on volunteers.
Our Weekend Clubs
10.00am to 1.30pm and/or 1:30pm to 6.00pm, monthly, Saturdays during term time.
We are currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers, to join us on our fantastic fun-filled Weekend club activities.
Volunteers and our members who have disabilities get to know each other as they take part in fun and challenging workshops including sports & games, arts & crafts, cooking and enjoying a day out in London once a term.
What you'll do
On the club you and a fellow volunteer will be paired with one of our members with a learning disability or autism. You'll support and encourage them to take part in a wide range of activities led by professional therapists and workshop leaders.
Our aim at a Kith & Kids’ club is that everybody has lots of fun in an environment in which our members feel safe and relaxed and can fully express themselves. We aim that our members receive 2:1 volunteer support. This helps ensure that the sessions have lots of energy and enthusiasm. It also gives new volunteers a chance to learn further support tips from experienced volunteers.
Our Weekend Clubs also allow our members to develop key skills and relationships in a fun, friendly and safe setting that is individually centred on their needs.
Workshops include music, drama, arts & crafts, sports & games and much more. We even enjoy trips out! Recently groups have attended swimming, museums, crazy golf, and bowling.
Not only is it a session full of fun and games for you and our members, but you are also a vital part in supporting them to develop their social skills in a day-to-day environment.

How much time?
The clubs run Sat monthly, 10.00am to 1.30pm and/or 1:30pm to 6.00pm, in term time only.
The more clubs you do, the more you'll build close relationships with the members you'll be supporting and will create the most impact.

Home-Start Croydon offers parents the support they need to help give their children the best start in life. As a Parent Champion Volunteer you will be engaging with families from your own community, providing peer to peer support and promoting services for children under 5 and their families. By connecting with other parents and carers, Parent Champions help communities thrive, breaking barriers and reducing isolation.
Key activities
- Engage with parents with children under 5 years old
- Build good knowledge of own community and links with local families
- Signpost parents to children’s centres and local organisations providing services for families
- Talk with parents in groups
- Facilitate parents to build peer to peer support groups
- Provide information on childcare options including the free early learning for two year olds
- Record accurate information manually
- Attend training and personal development activities
- Meet the Parent Champion Coordinator and other Parent Champions to share good practice

- Have experience of being a parent or carer

Who are LRMN?
We offer refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants a specialist and holistic service. We advocate for people’s rights, campaign for wider change, meet their basic needs and help them improve their wellbeing.
Why do we need you?
Triage volunteers are an essential part of our team, making sure that clients are able to access the right service. You will deal with initial client enquiries (in person, over the phone or by email), assess what support clients need and help the access the right service for them. This might be with us, a partner or another external service.
Our triage team is integral to the smooth running of LRMN. Without them our advisors wouldn’t be able to provide life changing support to the people who access our services.
Our triage team are the first people that clients will talk to so it is essential that we offer a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space and give them the right information about the services we offer. Given the demand that we face, volunteers help us do that.
What activities will you be involved in?
As part of our triage team, you will volunteer alongside staff and fellow volunteers to:
• Welcome clients to our office/Migrant Hub and speak to them about their needs • Help clients and referrers understand the services we offer and how to access them • Respond to new referrals and upload them onto our case management system
• Contact clients to book in appointments and follow up referrals
• Take on other administrative tasks as identified from time to time
As you become more experienced, you may be involved in giving basic advice, providing support letters and other duties.
Our triage volunteers can be based at our office (in Deptford Monday-Friday), or our Migrant Hub drop-in service (in Woolwich on Tuesdays), or both! Just let us know in your application form what interests you.
You will be supervised by the Business and Operations Manager and/or Migrant Hub Coordinator but will liaise with staff across the organisation as appropriate.

You will be provided with the training needed to perform the role and will have the opportunity to join training with the whole LRMN team.
