Job description

The Wolfson Foundation is a charity that awards grants to support excellence in the fields of science, health, education and the arts & humanities. This year, we will allocate some £40 million in grants.

We are seeking a Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive. The post will also provide some assistance to the Head of Grants and Policy, and to the Chairman of the Foundation and its sister Trust (the Wolfson Family Charitable Trust).

An important part of the role is support for Wolfson’s events and communication function, working closely as an Events Assistant with the Communications and Events Manager and the Chief Executive.

The successful applicant will have previous relevant experience, a professional but friendly manner and the ability to work independently within a small team. Attention to detail and excellent IT and drafting skills are also crucial for this role. An interest in the charitable and educational sectors and the work of the Foundation is preferable. The ability to work discreetly with senior people is critical. Experience with databases (particularly Blackbaud Grantmaking, formerly Gifts Online) is desirable, as is previous events management experience.
