About This Job
You will provide effective administrative support to the Office Manager and the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the two charities, the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) and the Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA). You will support across a range of tasks including administration, office management, supporting on our insurance provision as well as meetings and event support.
A cheerful, can-do attitude is essential, as is the ability to work well with a diverse range of staff based in the head office and across the UK. You will be organised, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills. You will provide excellent customer service while addressing both internal and external enquiries. Full training will be given to the right candidate.
Essential Skills
· Experience of carrying out an organisational or administrative function (this can be professional or in a personal/voluntary capacity).
· Ability to manage own workload and can demonstrate good time management.
· Strong customer service skills.

Our charity
ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.
We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers whilst also helping young people to access cadet activities through fundraising, grant-making, developing new resources and direct support.

Are you highly organised, discreet, and passionate about supporting a team with purpose? The Bishop of London is seeking a Correspondence & Administrative Assistant to join a small, dedicated team at The Old Deanery in the heart of the City of London.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the Bishop's office, ensuring first-class administrative and secretarial support. You'll manage diverse and sensitive correspondence, liaise with clergy and parishes, and help maintain smooth communication across the Diocese of London. From drafting letters and coordinating newsletters to supporting events and maintaining accurate records, your work will make a real difference.
What you'll do:
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence with professionalism and confidentiality
- Draft responses and manage official documentation
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems in compliance with GDPR
- Support clergy appointment processes and safeguarding requirements
- Assist with events, newsletters, and website updates
- Provide general administrative support across the Bishop's office

This is an exciting time to join our small but dedicated team as we approach our 50th anniversary in 2026. We're passionate about transforming lives for people with axial SpA, and this varied role provides essential administrative support that helps us deliver on our mission. The role is 21 hours per week with flexible working arrangements across the week to suit your needs, with at least one day par week in our London office. We need someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable working independently, and takes satisfaction in contributing to the team's success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll provide varied administrative support including managing correspondence, processing post, sending membership materials, and helping with event administration. You'll maintain accurate records by entering data into Salesforce- our customer database, checking reports match, and organising documentation. You'll also help keep the office running smoothly by liaising with suppliers and assisting with health & safety compliance.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You'll have experience in general administrative roles with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You'll be proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), reliable, proactive, and able to work independently whilst being a supportive team player. Experience with Salesforce is desirable but not essential.

About the Role
The Finance and Administrative Assistant will provide essential support across three main areas: finances, events and training. This role is about being detail-oriented in the finance administration, well organised, supporting smooth communication, and helping our members and partners to engage with our services. The role will report to the training and conference manager. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance administration, substantial experience of using Customer Relations Management Systems (CRM) and Xero (or similar systems), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Above all, you should be eager to learn and ask questions. This is a new role for us – so we're excited to explore and shape it together.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage and maintain accurate financial records for the organisation, including accounts payable and receivable
*Manage weekly accounts reconciliation process
*Preparing financial reports, issuing invoices and chasing debtors for training and events
* Assist operations manager with budgeting and forecasting
Training and events
* Provide administrative support to the operations and training manager by managing the training and events inbox, bookings and attendance.
*Assist in monitoring of training and events by running feedback reports
*Provide more general administrative support for regular training events and the annual conference
* Coordinate meetings and events, liaising with trustees, volunteers and colleagues
General
* Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency
* Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Essential Experience & Skills
● You have worked in a finance administrative role where you’ve managed multiple tasks and met deadlines.
● You have experience using digital tools like Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) and accounting software. You don’t need to be highly technical, but you should be comfortable navigating systems, updating records, and assisting others with basic queries.
● Responding to customers/clients via emails
● You have experience supporting projects or coordinating tasks
● Intermediate level of excel skills, e.g. produce monitoring reports on training bookings
Desirable Experience (Nice to Have, but not required)
● Knowledge of financial regulation for charities, e.g. the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP)
● Experience working in a membership organisation, charity, or similar setting.
● Familiarity with basic data management (e.g. updating records, handling databases).
● Experience coordinating online or in-person events
● Experience of changing website content or interest in learning
