We seek a Development and Grants Senior Officer to support our funding applications and grant reporting for Blue Ventures’ Indonesia programmes. Duties and Responsibilities
Information and Support
All staff are expected to be familiar with the range of services and events provided by Knowsley Carers Centre.
The Carers Support Officers specifically: -
1) Provide Carers with advice and support to improve the quality of their lives and the person they care for:
This will include:
a) Completing current procedure for Carers’ Assessments and to support Carers through the Assessment process.
b) Offering Carers the opportunity to take up other services offered by KCC such as coffee mornings and Holistic Therapies.
c) Providing an empathetic and supportive ear to Carers about the difficulties they may be experiencing. Remind carers that we are here to provide a listening ear and offer our counselling service if appropriate.
d) To signpost Carers to relevant voluntary and statutory organisations.
2) Keep up-to-date with services, benefits and organisations relevant to Carers.
3) To assist in the promotion of the work of the organisation by use of media, talks, presentations, displays etc.
4) Make links with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations.
5) Use any of the above opportunities to identify hidden Carers and
Casework
1) Work on behalf of Carers both by phone and in writing to help them to obtain the services they need.
2) Make home-visits as necessary to carry out this aspect of the work and initial support to new carers via home visit with the agreement of line manager.
3) Liaise with other advice/advocacy organisations to develop and maintain referral systems.
4) Complete all the necessary administrational tasks related to the role including updating all contacts on the database.
Groups and Events
1) Setting up, administering and facilitating Carers Support Groups.
2) Organise outings and events for Carers. To liaise with the manager to raise small funds to assist with one to one support or group support.
3) Work with other members of the Knowsley Carers Centre staff team to plan, organise and facilitate special events and activities e.g. During National Carers Week.
Administration and Monitoring
1) Complete contacts on the database for every interaction with each carer. All phone calls, drop ins, home visits letters, emails and texts to have a separate contact.
2) Ensure attendees at group events whether in house or at another venue complete the signing in sheet. Complete the register for these events on the database if requested to do so.
3) Add names to waiting lists for trips and events following the standard procedure. Make appointments for carers to attend holistic therapies following the standard procedure.
4) Write up case studies and other reports as requested by line manager.
5) To be primarily self-servicing including word processing letters, keeping appropriate records of work undertaken, write reports and complete monitoring forms.
6) All of the above are necessary for management to produce statistics and other monitoring reports to comply with funders requests outlined in the main contract and other sources of funding.
General Tasks
1) To work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of Knowsley Carers Centre.
2) To produce articles for the Carers Centre newsletter and to distribute
to various establishments around Knowsley.
3) To attend and actively participate in regular supervision, team meetings and annual appraisal sessions.
4) To undertake relevant training and staff development activities as required.
5) To undertake occasional evening/weekend work where necessary.
6) To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Centre Manager.
7) All employees are expected to read and abide by the organisations policies and procedures.

Due to the rapid expansion of Day One Trauma Support over the last three years, the charity’s infrastructure has needed to respond quickly to meet its changing demands. The Senior Project Officer will oversee a range of tasks including planning and executing community events, maintaining site Health & Safety, leading volunteers in practical projects like building wooden planters, tending to garden plants, and ensuring timely completion of administrative duties such as procurement, risk assessments, social media updates, and task reporting. They will also lead activities for the under 5’s Nature Explorers group, school visits, themed evening events, and family weekends. Additionally, they'll organise corporate volunteering sessions and cover holiday shifts for the Green Gym gardening program. In Spring 2024, TCV will be taking on the management of an additional nearby meanwhile space. The new Senior Project Officer will join us at an exciting time when we begin to turn that space into a new community tree nursery. Working with local people to gather seeds from significant trees in the surrounding area, we aim to grow saplings which will go on to be distributed for planting around London.
Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role the Senior Project Officer will need to work from the garden during these times. Occasionally, to avoid lone working in the absence of another colleague, there will be the opportunity to work from home. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. This post holder would be expected to attend those evening and weekend events.

We are looking to recruit a Collections Documentation Officer to join our team based in Stafford. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,360 per annum.
The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. Purpose of the Collections Documentation Officer role is to:
The Museum is looking for an experienced Collections Documentation Officer to join the team at an exciting time as we progress our Strategy to 2030 and continue the development phase of a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported programme of investment at our Midlands site.
You will help to administer the preparation of our collections to move to a new storage facility as well as provide admin support to the Museum’s Collections Review and Transfer programmes. This role will be based at our Stafford site and will work across all three Museum sites as required. Working elsewhere in the UK and abroad may be necessary.
Key responsibilities of our Collections Documentation Officer include:
- Contributing to the administration of the Museum’s Midlands Development Programme and Cosford Master Plan, particularly supporting all stages of preparing and relocating the collections, including reports and statistics.
- Compiling, verifying and maintaining detailed and accurate records for Museum objects and Collections Management activities, ensuring conformity with Spectrum standards
- Reviewing documentation backlogs in support of the Midlands Development Programme
- Supporting in facilitating physical and electronic access to the collection and collections information via contributions to the Collections Review, Loans Review, Transfer and location coding projects
- Supporting in gathering and researching provenance and hazards information for objects within the collection, including digitisation of records
- Supporting in the handling and movement of a wide range of materials, ranging from boxes of documents to heavy machinery, where required
- Delivering Collections Management and CMS support to Museum staff and volunteers, including provision of forms and Object Numbers
- Supporting the Museum’s adherence to the Arts Council England’s Accreditation Standard
- Providing on-site first aid cover to staff and volunteers.
What we are looking for in our Collections Documentation Officer:
- A relevant degree in conservation or equivalent experience
- Experience of working (paid or voluntary) in a museum or heritage organisation
- Displays enthusiasm around activities, adopting a positive approach when interacting with others, and motivating team members
- Uses experience and knowledge of standard practices, procedures or customs to evaluate problems and make appropriate decisions/provide appropriate advice
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to drive hire cars and vans
- Experience of working to international museum standards for the transportation, packing and handling of museum objects
- Experience working at height for object installation and de-installation work
- Current first aid certification (or willingness to gain certification
