The role of CEO at Emerge is full of opportunity and potential. It is varied and at times complex, requiring a person of integrity, person centred leadership skills and responsibility.

As a Christian organisation (as stated in our registered charity objectives) we require our CEO to have a Christian faith whose theology is worked out in their day-to-day life – professionally and personally. They must be a leader of integrity and compassion for young people, team members and the communities we serve and be committed to learning and growing personally so they are well placed to enable the same for others.

· Has significant experience of leading organisations, projects and people, and is therefore able to articulate vision, design and deliver a strategy and lead an experienced staff team.

· Has established youth sector and voluntary sector experience and therefore understands deeply the challenges young people face in our communities and our city.

· Is a leader with experience of training staff and delegating effectively to enable others to grow their skills and abilities.

· Can clearly understand and work with finances – setting and controlling budgets and working diligently and creatively to ensure continued financial sustainability.

· Is confident in representing Emerge externally, networking across various sectors, maintaining and developing new partnerships, writing reports and public documents and being our champion in every context.

· Has experience of overseeing the legal requirements of running an organisation, employing staff and running an effective charity.

· Has robust knowledge of safeguarding issues as evidenced by current training and qualification (DBS etc.)

We recognise that not every candidate interested in this role will have the full breadth of experience, knowledge and skills we outline in the job description and person specification on the following pages. We are therefore interested in hearing from people who feel they meet most of the criteria and clearly share our faith, values and vision strongly enough to lead the organisation.

The majority of the role fits within a standard working day, but it will involve some evening working, and occasional weekend work recognised through an informal time in lieu process. There is some scope to work at home occasionally but youth work and leading a youth work charity mainly requires your regular presence in our offices and venues.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Assistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Programme Managers with overall team training and development.

Active participation in and support for church team and mission

• As the Spear programme is run by Junction Community Trust in partnership with St Mark’s Church, Battersea Rise, you will be required to establish a strong personal presence at the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

About the Role

This is an exciting and varied opportunity to join Arthritis Action at a pivotal time as we deliver our 2024–2026 strategy. As our Engagement and Events Co-ordinator (Midlands), you’ll play a key role in expanding our reach and impact across the region, ensuring more people have access to our support, resources, and information.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

Approved Premises (APs) work with high-risk people released from prison, providing a vital element in public protection arrangements. APs offer a level of contact, support and supervision within the community that is unique within the Criminal Justice System. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated, enthusiastic staff team at our male Approved Premises in Battersea, playing a key role in pro-social modelling, rehabilitation and community reintegration for those ready to make positive choices.

Working closely with Probation Officers and other community services such as police, health, housing and substance misuse, we provide a stepping stone from prison into the community.

As a member of the Approved Premises team, you will model pro-social behavior and foster a positive, respectful culture with both clients and colleagues. You will actively engage with residents, supporting communal activities such as meal preparation, and contribute to the delivery of individual sentence plans in collaboration with probation officers, police, and external agencies.

Your role will involve providing administrative and practical support, ensuring daily tasks are completed, and following all operational protocols. You will encourage compliance and enforce rules relating to curfews and drug and alcohol testing as required. Keeping colleagues, multi-agency partners, and management informed is essential.

You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health, safety, security, cleanliness, and well-being of the premises and residents, utilizing tools such as CCTV, observation, and direct personal contact. Accurate, timely record-keeping and appropriate information sharing with respect for confidentiality are critical components of this role.

Using your initiative, you will identify and address additional tasks or emerging issues, working within the service to maintain an enabling environment. Adherence to the Approved Premises Manual, Hestia policies, and relevant justice service requirements is expected, alongside consistently demonstrating The Hestia Approach.

This role involves working closely with high-risk offenders transitioning from prison to community life, providing a unique level of daily support, supervision, and tailored interventions. You will empower residents to take responsibility for themselves while maintaining appropriate boundaries and supervision. The position operates on a rolling rota covering early, late, weekend, and night shifts to ensure continuous support and public protection.

About the role

The Research and Programmes Coordinator role involves:

In this role, they will build and maintain therapeutic, person-centred relationships with young adults (18–25) who are transitioning from CAMHS or accessing mental health services for the first time. They will support clients in developing recovery-focused goals, encouraging engagement in services, community life, and personal development, while also providing emotional and practical assistance during this transition. This includes accompanying clients to appointments, meetings, or community activities where additional support is needed. They will work collaboratively with carers, families, and professionals to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to care and sustained community inclusion. The role also involves facilitating access to local community resources and opportunities aligned with clients' interests and wellbeing goals, as well as identifying and helping to develop new partnerships and services that promote mental health and reduce inequalities. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all interactions, support plans, assessments, and outcomes in line with data protection and service standards. Monitoring client wellbeing, addressing emerging risks, and escalating safeguarding or crisis concerns as necessary will also be key responsibilities. Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills are required, along with basic IT proficiency; skills in Microsoft Office or additional languages are a plus. Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shop Supervisor to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness.

As a Shop Supervisor, you will support the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will play a key role in delivering customer service and supporting volunteers, as well maintaining the look and feel of the shop and processing stock. This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Job Purpose: To work with the Youth & Universities team to deliver F&BF’s programmes and projects

Salary: £29,802 – £32,565, depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

All activities will be undertaken in collaboration with the Youth Voice & Universities team.

Delivery

· To support delivery of the UN award-winning ParliaMentors programme (1.5 days per week):

o Being responsible for 2 teams of university students.

o Supporting 12 London-based students by: having 1:1 coaching calls with each of them to offer guidance and support; conducting sessions to support the teams with their social action projects and identifying area for development; conducting sessions to work through any team dynamic issues that arise.

o Supporting with facilitation of workshops related to social action, politics, leadership and interfaith.

o Administrative and logistical support (e.g., room bookings, processing reimbursements, coordinating student travels).

· To support delivery of City Bridge Trust (CBT) work (3.5 days per week):

o Responsible for overseeing the deliverables for this funder, ensuring all deadlines are met.

o Responsible for delivering four interfaith trainings for Local Authorities within London.

o Planning and delivering the annual Youth Interfaith Summit, the UK’s largest interfaith event for the climate.

o Coordinating the Youth Advisory Board, a group of young interfaith activists who will codesign the Summit.

o Responsible for coordinating the remainder of the Youth Forum for Faith and Ecology in partnership with LSE.

o Identifying and facilitating partnerships between alumni network and other relevant organizations.

o Coordinate collection and analysis of M&E data for internal and funder reporting, and production of case studies.

· To lead on social media for the Y&U team

o Responsible for creating a minimum of four posts per month for Instagram and LinkedIn for the F&BF and ParliaMentors accounts.

Our team

The Faith and Belief Forum is the UK’s leading interfaith organisation, dedicated for nearly 30 years to building understanding and strong relationships between people of all faiths and beliefs. You will be working closely with the Senior Programme Manager on the Youth and Universities team to deliver our interfaith programming for young people aged 18 – 35. What the job involves

The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.

You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.

The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.

This role is fixed term until end of October 2026 covering an internal secondment.

We’re looking for a pro-active and highly organised person to join our team. You’ll be self-motivated and able to multi-task, supporting a busy team while keeping on top of your own projects. You’ll have experience of communicating in plain English across multiple platforms including social media and our website. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of how medical and health-related information is produced to standard guidelines.

You’ll be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be happy communicating with a wide range of people, from men with prostate cancer and their families to specialist clinicians and researchers.

About Barnet African Caribbean Association
Barnet African Caribbean Association is a small but long-standing registered charity dedicated to supporting older. Many of our members live with long-term health conditions such as the effects of stroke or dementia.

We run a weekly day centre on Tuesdays, where we bring people together to enjoy a hot meal, social activities and companionship. From exercise classes, arts and crafts, quizzes and games, to health visitor sessions, our programme is designed to promote wellbeing, reduce isolation and celebrate culture.
