As our Data Protection Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things data protection. You’ll lead our compliance efforts, advise teams across the organisation, and ensure we meet our legal obligations with confidence and care.

​What you’ll do 

Act as Samaritans’ appointed Data Protection Officer, offering support and advice across the organisation

Lead on data protection compliance, including incident management and Subject Access Requests (SARs)

Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training that support a privacy-first culture

Monitor and manage data protection risks, controls and compliance

Oversee Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and third-party due diligence

Monitor and respond to queries in our data protection inbox

Serve as the main contact for privacy queries and liaison with the Information Commissioner’s Office

Welfare Rights Adviser 

Department - Support hub

Salary £32,445 per annum ( £19,467 pro rata for part time) 

Hours of work 22.5 hours a week over three days.

The role

The welfare rights adviser will report to the welfare rights supervisor.

The welfare rights adviser  will be supporting people affected by long term health issues with financial challenges, supporting with benefit and housing advice, and referring on for further support where appropriate. 

Experience as a welfare rights adviser, including managing your own casework, is essential when applying for this role.

Principal accountabilities / responsibilities: -

Welfare rights advice and casework

· To provide welfare rights advice and casework for people affected by long-term health conditions, including inpatients, outpatients, and carers.

· To work at least two days per week on site, mainly based at the Royal Free Hospital or the Royal Free Charity office

· To provide advice and support primarily on welfare benefits and housing matters (that do not require a solicitor).

· To check whether clients are in receipt of all the benefits they are entitled to and help them claim relevant benefits.

· To help clients understand benefit decisions and challenge them (where appropriate) by way of mandatory reconsiderations and appeals.

· To help clients ensure they keep to their responsibilities in respect of their benefit claims, for example by notifying any relevant changes of circumstances.

· To refer or signpost clients to other agencies or departments as appropriate, e.g., housing solicitors; community care cases involving social services and NHS duties, FCA-regulated debt and immigration services.

· To signpost or refer to other services that might be valuable to a client such as condition specific charities, mental health support, or offerings in the local community that would improve their health and wellbeing.

· As part of this role, there may be some advice given to NHS staff.

· There may also be some involvement in new advice projects

· There will also be some triaging new referrals as part of this role

The support hub department is here to support people affected by long term health conditions (patients and carers), to help them with the practicalities of living with a chronic condition; to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

Our assessments are undertaken face-to-face and applicants should be able to travel across the regions listed above for visits to prospective foster carers. 

Key Duties for Form F Assessors include:

• To undertake and complete Form F assessments in the timescale set out in our policy and guidance.
• To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carers.
• To ensure that all checks and references are undertaken and completed.
• To provide to the supervisor, regular written updates of the draft assessment.
• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
• To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• We will pay £2250 (inclusive of VAT) + up to £500 bonus payments (if criteria are met) upon submission of a successfully completed Form F Assessment.
• £37.50 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

About The Role  

As a SQL Insight Analyst, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to drive our decision making through evidence and data backed insights. Working closely with the rest of the Data, Insights and Research team to enable their access to aggregated or granular data points from our Services and Fundraising databases.

You will become an expert on the data points we collect at Help For Heroes and gain understanding of how these all play a part in achieving our overall goal of ensuring Members of the Armed Forces Community Live Well after Service.

About You  

You will be a highly motivated SQL code writer with a passion for making a difference in our community. You will need a sharp and dynamic mind that can infer the business logic that underpins the work we do. You will have the adaptability to be able to speak both in business logic and in the translated SQL language that access the data points needed to provide insight on a particular business challenge. Good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships and inspire both confidence and curiosity within our dataset will be essential to drive the change the Charity is looking for.

We are looking for someone with:  

• The ability to write efficient and accurate SQL code.

• An aptitude for understanding business logic and translating that into all code written.

• Strong communication skills to ensure that requirements are agreed and understood on both sides of the ask.

• Basic knowledge of BI tools, in order to implement connections and code to allow for visualisation of the aggregated data.

• Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills. 

PLEASE NOTE:  

• We meet as a team quarterly, most often in London or in Downton (near Salisbury). Travel and accommodation if required would be provided.

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday with core working hours of 10am-3pm. About StreetVet

Homelessness continues to rise across the UK, and for many individuals experiencing it, their pet has been a vital and integral part of their life, often long before they lost their home. The bond between a person and their animal can be profound, offering emotional support, companionship, and a sense of purpose. For many, their pet’s wellbeing is a top priority, even in the most challenging circumstances. 

Accessing veterinary care while living on the streets, sofa surfing or living in a hostel or temporary accommodation provider can be incredibly difficult. That’s where StreetVet comes in. We are an award-winning national charity and a registered veterinary practice with the RCVS, providing free, accessible vet care to pets belonging to those experiencing homelessness across the UK. Our dedicated team of volunteer veterinary professionals deliver essential services where support is needed. We take our experience out of the consulting room and onto the pavements to provide the same first opinion vet care you would expect to receive in a practice. 

StreetVet also works to remove barriers to accommodation and homelessness service through our Accredited Hostel and Day Centre Scheme, which helps hostels, day centres, and hubs implement positive pet policies and become pet-inclusive. This includes free veterinary care for registered pets, staff training, essential pet supplies, and access to virtual vet consultations via our telemedicine platform. The scheme empowers hostels to welcome pet owners without forcing them to choose between a roof over their head and their beloved companion.

Role Description

The Hostel & Day Centre Coordinator (North) will work closely with the Hostel and Day Centre Manager and the Coordinator (South) to ensure the effective administration and smooth day-to-day operations of the StreetVet Accredited Hostel & Day Centre Schemes. This role plays a key part in welcoming and onboarding new hostels and day centres into the network and supporting the ongoing engagement and success of existing partners. By fostering strong relationships with hostels, day centres, suppliers, and sponsors, the post holder will help build a connected and responsive community that ultimately supports more pets accessing hostels and day centres. Acting as a central point of contact, they will collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure queries are addressed efficiently and support is delivered consistently.

About the role:

As our Corporate Partnerships Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Single Homeless Project’s (SHP) partnerships with businesses across London and beyond. You will lead a talented and driven team, inspiring them to deliver exceptional results as you grow a programme that already engages thousands of corporate employees each year. Through strategic relationship building, creative collaboration, and authentic storytelling, you will connect the values and ambitions of our partners with SHP’s mission to end homelessness in London - turning corporate energy into lasting social change.

Working at the heart of SHP’s Fundraising team, you will lead the development of innovative partnerships that raise vital income, expand our volunteering offer, and create meaningful opportunities for businesses to engage with our work. You will nurture relationships with existing partners, while securing exciting new collaborations that deliver mutual value and deepen their commitment to our cause. From six-figure fundraising initiatives to dynamic corporate events, your creativity and strategic vision will ensure every partnership reaches its full potential and has a measurable impact on our clients’ lives.

People and Training Manager Part-time 21 hours (£45,500 pro rata) remote

About the Role

You will develop and interpret datasets to support informed decision-making across the Diocese. Your key responsibilities will include:

· Developing a strong understanding of diocesan and external data sources to inform strategy

· Designing and implementing a measurement framework to monitor progress and impact

· Collecting, managing, and integrating quantitative and contextual data from varied sources

· Analysing demographic, attendance, financial, and community data to generate insight

· Supporting social action and community engagement with relevant contextual data

· Designing and maintaining interactive dashboards and visual tools (e.g. Power BI)

· Producing narrative and statistical reports for governance, leadership, and project teams

· Building relationships and engaging with key stakeholders

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

· Aligned with the mission and ethos of the Christian Church and the vision of the Diocese of Rochester

· Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field

· Experienced in data analysis and interpretation, with strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, formulas, data modelling)

· Confident in building dashboards and visualisations using Power BI (or similar)

· Familiar with public data sources (e.g. Census, public health, economic data)

· Skilled in ensuring data quality, integrity, and security

· An effective communicator, able to present insights to both senior leaders and local stakeholders

· Inquisitive, thorough, and able to frame the right analytical questions

· Experienced in developing measurement frameworks to track outcomes

Are you the kind of person who can navigate sensitive conversations with empathy, and bring clarity to complex workplace dynamics? As our Employee Relations Officer, you’ll be the trusted advisor who helps maintain a positive, respectful, and high-performing work environment. You will be responsible for leading and advising on low and medium complexity ER cases, providing policy interpretation support to managers, ensuring employment law compliance, and contributing to policy development and improvement initiatives. This role also includes involvement in project-based work and other administrative responsibilities that support the delivery of People Team objectives.

About You:

To be successful as the Employee Relations Officer you will need to demonstrate proven experience in an ER focused HR role, managing a range of employee relations cases. You will have a strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices and ideally experience in TUPE transfers and organizational restructures. It would be advantageous to hold or be working towards a CIPD qualification of Level 5 or above.
