Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and motivated individual to join us in this newly created HR and Governance role at Dialogue Earth. We are seeking an organised and proactive person to provide day-to-day support across both functions, with around 70% of the role focused on HR. The HR and governance officer will lead and manage the organisation’s human resources, governance, and compliance functions. They will ensure that HR function and practices are fair, legally compliant, and aligned with organisational values, and will support the Board of Trustees in fulfilling their governance responsibilities. This role combines operational HR management with oversight of governance processes, supporting a positive, inclusive, and legally compliant working environment.

Main Responsibilities

Human Resources:

● Coordinate recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions and contracts, applicant screening, supporting interviews and collecting references;
● Manage staff onboarding processes and induction material;
● Maintain and update HR policies, the staff handbook, and training records in consultation with the COO;

Position: Programme Officer

Reporting to: Senior Programme Manager

Location: Sidcup, Greater London, and hybrid working of 1 day in the office and 4 days remote (subject to change)

Starting Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 gross per annum (based on experience) plus benefits

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. 

The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. The post holder will work closely with other members of the project delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact.

The Programme Officer will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management

• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools. 

Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects

The role is responsible for delivering full housing management services across a portfolio of 50–100 supported accommodation units, with a focus on tenancy sustainment, legal compliance, and strong financial performance. This includes facilitating onboarding and exit processes for service users, promoting tenancy expectations early on, and embedding a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIPE) approach. Accurate and GDPR-compliant tenancy records must be maintained, with regular monitoring and reporting on tenancy issues through internal dashboards and quarterly reviews.

The position also involves driving rent and service charge collection, preventing arrears through proactive engagement, and taking recovery action where needed. The postholder will provide specialist advice on housing benefits, manage claims and appeals, and oversee invoicing and reconciliation with external agencies. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 29 historic churches across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

About The East End Community Foundation (EECF)

EECF supports communities through our charitable activities of grants and programmes.  In 2024/25 these totalled over £1.6m and we intend to increase our grant making year on year to provide greater and longer-term support so we can continue to make a difference to the lives of local people by supporting vital community-based projects with grant funding. We are looking for a committed individual with knowledge of the local area to join the Grants and Programmes Team. The Role

Position: Grants Officer

Responsible to: Head of Grants and Programmes

Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)

Key Responsibilities: 

· Assist the team in developing, managing, delivering and promoting EECF’s grants programmes.

· Provide information, advice and guidance to grant applicants

· Complete the assessment of grant applications including making phone calls/visits, and completing due diligence checks

· Manage a caseload of grantees including building relationships with grantees, liaising and agreeing outcomes for funded projects, preparing and issuing grant contracts, working with groups through the delivery of their projects to final reporting

· Ensure all information including grant applications are accurately recorded in a timely fashion on the database system Salesforce

· Conduct regular outreach and participate in networking events and awareness raising sessions aimed at potential grant applicants or recipients

· Review end of grant reports and collate information to provide annual reports on grant programmes 

· Contribute to the maintenance and development of grant making systems, policies and procedures including guidance notes, application forms and reporting structures

· Keep abreast of good practice in grant making and new initiatives being implemented by other local grant makers and community foundations

· Undertake such other tasks as may be required to meet the needs of the post as they arise and to ensure the smooth running of EECF’s grant making programmes and charitable activities

The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.

The Church's aspiration is that safeguarding is not experienced and approached as a matter of administrative compliance. Rather, it should be what the Church is - something that flows from its core beliefs and values, part of its DNA.

The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being. The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).

What you'll be doing

The Church of England seeks a committed and collaborative Safeguarding Policy Officer to join the National Safeguarding Team. This role is central to developing, revising, and implementing national safeguarding policies that protect and support all members of the Church community.

Working closely with Safeguarding Policy and Development Leads, you'll ensure policies are grounded in academic research, aligned with legislation and canon law, and informed by survivor experiences and Church-wide learning.

In this role, you will:

• Co-manage the development and roll-out of safeguarding policies, codes of practice and guidance
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including survivors, bishops, Diocesan Safeguarding Officers, and Church bodies
• Ensure policy relevance across dioceses, parishes, cathedrals, religious communities, and theological institutions
• Lead the coordination and improvement of the safeguarding e-manual
• Engage with NCIs departments to embed safeguarding policy into wider initiatives
• Support the NST's learning and review cycle to refine policies over time
• Represent survivor perspectives within policy, training, and quality assurance activities
• Provide briefings and respond to safeguarding queries from Church bodies
• Take ownership of non-legislative content creation related to safeguarding

• A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

Our charity-sector client is seeking a Temporary Individual Giving Officer to join their Fundraising, Engagement & Communications team for approximately 2 months.

This is a great opportunity for someone with individual giving experience to step in and provide vital support across appeals, stewardship, and donor communications. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality supporter care while helping to ensure campaigns run smoothly.
