We provide support and information to families and work tirelessly to inform medical practice by raising awareness at government levels, engaging with medical Royal Colleges and the NHS. In addition to this we work closely with health, social work and educational professionals as well as our European and International peer organisations.

About you

1. Experience in building successful partnerships to further impact and setting common goals and outcomes.
2. Experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies that identify new income opportunities that help diversity the existing portfolio.
3. Experience in dealing with innovative financial products and how to take them to market.
4. Some prior involvement in the not-for-profit sector would be an advantage but not a requirement.
5. Leadership in setting up monitoring systems and KPIs for determining the effectiveness and success of these partnerships and commercial income stream.

Students4Students is a member led charity, that has been operating for seven years, with c.100 current members across our four branches. As a member led organisation, we invest heavily in involving our volunteers in our decision-making processes and building a sense of community.
However, our volunteer base is predominantly students and is therefore by nature continually changing. This makes it more difficult for us to foster long term relationships with our volunteers. We have therefore recently established an alumni network to extend the reach of our community. Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best – whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!
What can you expect to be doing?
This is a really flexible role – you can choose what you’d like to get involved with:
·Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins
·Online fundraising – setting up online appeals, increasing social media engagement to maximise funds raised
·Marketing – spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
·Completing administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
·Championing our work – getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

We’re looking for people who like being part of a team and want to make a difference. Would you like a flexible role, where much of it can be done from home at a time that suits you?
In this role you’ll be working with staff and volunteers, fostering connections, meeting new people in your local area, all whilst making a difference to those living with Parkinson's.
Why we want you
This vital role supports local groups across the UK which are run by volunteers, offering friendship and support to people living with Parkinson's, their families and friends. As a pivotal part of the local volunteer team, you will help plan group spending for the benefit of people affected by Parkinson's in your community.
What you will be doing
- Be an ambassador for Team Parkinson’s - engaging with local staff, volunteers, and your local community, to ensure the group has the greatest possible impact on those affected by Parkinson's in your area
- Accurately record financial activity, keeping the group and the Parkinson's UK local networks finance team informed of the group's financial position
- With support from your local staff, stay up to date with Parkinson's UK's financial policies actively sharing them with the group and supporting the group to operate within them
- Provide regular reports to the committee on the financial status of the group including final accounts at the Annual General Meeting
- Deal with financial administration for the group, from annual reports to legacy spending, and ensuring volunteer expenses are paid accurately in line with our volunteer expenses policy
- Be a signatory on the group's bank accounts
The skills you need
- Previous experience in finance, accountancy or bookkeeping can be valuable, but is not essential
- Confident with numbers and able to take the lead on the group’s finances
- Have confident computer and email skills - be open to using new systems and other digital tools
- Have a commitment to the wider charity’s aims and values
- Be able to contribute to balanced decisions that take into account multiple views, and to do so in a collaborative, open and inclusive way with committee and local staff
