About You

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will work closely with colleagues across the Income Generation and Marketing teams to deliver on a positive donor/ supporter experience with the aim of retention of current supporters for the long-term as well as acquisition of new donors, maximising the potential of all of our supporters. It forms a central part of the overall fundraising strategy, with the ultimate aim of growing our individual giving income to increase the impact of the charity and benefit those needing support in pregnancy, pregnancy loss or in the early years of having a baby.

The successful candidate will manage and develop the Complex Needs and Community Teams at Hertfordshire Mind Network. The Services Manager will be responsible for leading a variety of services currently including the Flourish (asylum seekers and refugees) contract and the Primary Care Network contract. As the services grow and develop, other services/projects may sit under this post.

About the role

The role requires travel across Hertfordshire to our Wellbeing centres, community partnerships and external organisations and is responsible for a team of staff and volunteers who work within Complex Needs and Community teams across the county.

As a Services Manager you will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and work in partnership with Complex Needs Team Leaders and the other Service Managers across the Charity. Reporting into the Director for Complex Needs and Community you will be directly responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of two or more of our Services and a key member of the Herts Mind Network Safeguarding team.

Responsibilities of the post

• Support the Director of Complex Needs and Community with effective running of the complex needs and community services.
• Build strong relationships and liaise with commissioners and partner organisations.
• Manage the Flourish and PCN contracts.
• Work closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
• Support the development of services by promoting and being responsive to changing needs.
• Oversee the recruitment and management of client facing staff.
• Be a strong safeguarding level 3 champion and manage/support referrals.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are current, understood by staff and that they are working within these policies and procedures.
• Monitor outcomes and evaluate the service, ensure all KPIs are met.
• Process referrals and manage and prioritise all administration tasks associated with the service, including Payroll and expenses submissions.
• Be part of the Senior Management on call rota (out of hours), attend SMT meetings as required and support the work of the wider SMT. 
• Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the service development by working alongside the Directors to evaluate service delivery and produce progress and monitoring reports.

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients. The team, consisting of an advanced trauma doctor, paramedic and consultant on most missions, can perform treatments such as open heart surgery, blood transfusions and general anaesthetic by the roadside.

The IT Manager will report to the Director of Finance, IT and Facilities to deliver our IT strategy. They will work closely with the charity’s external consultant CTO.

Our website. This is a part-time role to lead SEEAC’s engagement with the East and Southeast Asian Communities. The Community Engagement Officer is responsible for reaching out, building and maintaining a solid network with community members, identifying and understanding communities’ needs, liaising and coordinating with other stakeholders who can provide relevant support and assistance, and supporting the development of communication materials for the communities. The post holder will work closely with members of the SEEAC staff team, volunteers and partners in organising and promoting community activities and disseminating information to the community members and relevant stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you must have 2 or more years of demonstrated professional experience working in a community setting or a non-profit organisation involving social justice issues (as an employee or a volunteer) and strong organisational and administrative skills. We expect you to demonstrate proven ability to organise events and activities. You also need to have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, as well as a good understanding of project planning and budgeting. You must be able to communicate fluently in English and, preferably with a command of at least one of ESEA languages. It would be beneficial if you have previously worked as part of a diverse team and have exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of quickly establishing good relationships to respond sensitively and confidentially to all stakeholders. We would also prefer you to have experience of working directly with ESEA communities or other minoritised, racialised or migrant communities and/or have good knowledge of ESEA cultures. Those with lived experience of the issues faced by migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum and/or their family members are encouraged to apply.

You will report to the Programme Manager and collaborate with all members of the staff. At times, you will liaise and collaborate with SEEAC’s stakeholders, such as volunteers and partner organisations, to design and convene activities that effectively support communities’ needs.

Flexible homework is offered in a hybrid setting, with in-person work based at the SEEAC office in East London. To create a better collaboration with other staff members and communities, SEEAC, however, require all staff members to work in the office or on-site occasionally as required. Depending on activities and event planned, the post requires occasional work in the evening and during weekends within contracted hours. Opportunities for skills development training are offered. This is a 12-month fixedterm contract, on a part-time of 3 or 2-days/week part-time (0.6 or 0.4 FTE) basis, for a January 2026 start. SEEAC’s full-time is 5 days per week (35hrs per week). Alongside leading our fundraising efforts, you’ll take ownership of our brand, ensuring clarity and consistency in our messaging, helping partners tell our story, and securing positive media coverage. 

You’ll lead the development of campaigns, fundraising and marketing activities, and digital engagement that not only enhance our national profile but also drive supporter engagement and income growth.

This is a home-based role, with travel required to and within the regions where we operate, including attendance at key events.

You will provide strategic leadership across fundraising, communications, marketing and events. Your work will be closely aligned with JET’s five-year strategy, enabling continued growth in funding and programme delivery.

As an Income Officer at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all income is processed efficiently, accurately, and with the highest standards of supporter care. You’ll help maintain the integrity of our income data and make sure every supporter’s contribution is handled with respect and precision. Key Responsibilities:

• Process income and related data accurately on the CRM database, ensuring all income is accurate and coded correctly
• Allocate restricted income in line with supporters’ wishes and organisational guidelines

• Manage over 7,000 regular supporters through Direct Debit, Standing Order, and Payroll Giving, including reconciliations and regular transaction processing

• Maintain and manage financial and data systems with high data integrity, ensuring compliance with Data Protection and audit requirements
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to streamline processes and identify practical improvements to manage increasing transaction volumes

The Role

The role of Superstore Manager involves managing the day-to-day operation of the charity’s first superstore including managing a team of 18 employees consisting of the Deputy Superstore Manager, Department Team Leaders, Superstore Assistants and a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures.

You will lead by example and ensure that employees, volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.
 

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Driving Success in Our Charity Superstore

• Leading on visual merchandising and display to create a welcoming and inspiring shopping experience that reflects our brand and values.
• Ensuring efficient stock management and generation, so our shop floor is full of high-quality, desirable items that attract customers.
• Maintaining impeccable shop standards and ensuring the store layout supports both customer engagement and operational efficiency.
• Managing and being accountable for implementing and complying with agreed shop operating policy and standards including Health and Safety and Trading Standards.
• Building relationships and working closely with wider functions across the charity such as Facilities, Marketing, Volunteer, and social media teams to ensure the plans are fulfilled and executed.

Efficient Stock Management

• Oversee effective stockroom systems to ensure smooth processing and redistribution of donations, including identifying high-value or surplus stock for resale through online marketplaces or other Yorkshire Cancer Research stores.
• Conduct regular stocktakes to maintain accountability and efficiency.

Inspiring and developing a passionate team

• Recruiting, developing, and retaining talent, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Conducting regular performance development reviews for paid employees, implementing and supporting personal development and growth.
• Providing necessary training and resources, ensuring the shop is always adequately resourced and prepared to operate seamlessly, even in your absence.
• Having line manager responsibility for the shop management team, working together to ensure there is management and team cover and sufficient volunteers to operate all trading hours.
• Implementing appropriate training and support for all volunteers to ensure they adhere to all guidelines and legislation including Health and Safety and GDPR.
• Ensuring that all charity policies, shop standards and operating procedures are communicated effectively to all volunteers and are maintained and followed consistently.

 Delivering financial excellence

• Data-driven decision-making, using shop performance insights to inform strategies that maximise income and profitability.
• Accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.
• All shop administration including cash handling and banking functions, ensuring the team work to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures.
• Reviewing weekly sales figures and from these identifying ways to maintain and maximise income, ensuring information is accessible to volunteers so they are kept up to date.
• Working with the Head of Retail and Finance team to set challenging sales budgets and stretch targets that are achievable or exceedable, and drive and motivate your team to achieve and exceed them.

Championing exceptional customer and supporter service

• You’ll create an environment where every supporter and customer feel valued, ensuring:
• Outstanding service across all touchpoints, from the shop floor to the till point, including seamless and secure payment processes.
• Any complaints are managed effectively and efficiently, escalating to Head Office where they cannot be resolved at a local level.

Building Connections and Driving Engagement

• You’ll act as a proactive ambassador for Yorkshire Cancer Research, generating support and income through:
• Engaging with the local community and businesses to secure donations, build partnerships, and promote the charity.
• Maximising the use of community spaces in-store, hosting events that align with our mission while driving additional income and fostering engagement.

Ensuring Compliance and Best Practices

• You’ll uphold the highest standards of compliance, ensuring adherence to Yorkshire Cancer Research policies in:
• Health and safety, safeguarding, and security.
• Administrative procedures and People management policies.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be educated to A Level or equivalent or have experience in a similar role at a similar level.

· To have experience of managing a large and diverse team of people/volunteers including recruitment and development.

· To have previous retail experience in the charity sector.

· To have previous experience with a high-volume Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) retailer is desirable.

· Experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment.

· Experience of opening a new shop is desirable.

· Experience in managing high-volume retail environments.

• Strong organisational and managerial skills with success in previous roles leading teams.

· A commercial mindset with proven profit and loss management.

· To be creative and forward thinking.

· To be to handle challenging situations with confidence and professionalism, finding solutions and maintaining composure under pressure.

· Confidence with technology, being able to adapt to new systems and processes to support the smooth running of Superstore operations.
