About This Job

This is an exciting role in Army Cadet Headquarters which provides administrative support to the functional delivery areas of the syllabus. We are looking for a person to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team and support administration across both our volunteer staff and employed workforce.

This post is primarily to support DofE and First Aid but may, where required, be surged to cover short term administrative responsibilities for other activity areas.

This position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week) which will be home-based. However, regular travel across the UK attend events and meetings will be required.

Purpose of the post

The Business Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of AHS. About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Main responsibilities

 Operational Delivery and Implementation

· Provide hands-on support to teams and managers in rolling out new tools, systems and operational processes that are critical for the success of the longitudinal study

· Support the smooth, day-to-day running of business operations, ensuring tasks and processes are completed efficiently

Administration and Systems Management

About the role

You will be part of the regional office team, managing a group of casework administrators. The team provides specialist administrative support and act as a single point of contact to SSAFA branch-based volunteers ensuring that SSAFA beneficiaries receive consistent, timely, and high-quality service. The RCM role will involve developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers.  Additionally, the RCM will occasionally assist the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and triaging initial client enquiries.

To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.  You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Regional Manager.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North West region consisting of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Isle of Man, Lancashire and Merseyside. You will occasionally be required to travel within the North West Region or to other locations.

About the team

The regional office is a “virtual” office and supports the six SSAFA branches in the North West of England region, as the branch-based volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries.  The successful candidate will work as part of a larger support team which will include 5 Casework Administrators and a Regional Manager.  All team members are home based, residing in the region.

About you

To excel in this role, you should have a solid educational background and experience in managing employees, as well as overseeing and reporting on service delivery.  You should have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, achieving results through negotiation and influence.  Previous experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous.  You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of learning a computerised case management system quickly. Additionally, you should be skilled with numerical data.

The successful candidate will be capable of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision and have considerable experience of managing accounts.

It would be desirable to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. A national charity is seeking a Senior Events Coordinator to join its friendly and passionate team. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality events that build lasting supporter relationships.

Salary: £30,000
Location: Remote, with travel across the UK
Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday

The Role
You’ll support the Events Team Manager in planning and delivering a busy calendar of events across the UK. From concept to completion, you’ll take ownership of logistics, marketing, and supporter engagement, ensuring every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression. You’ll also work closely with regional committees, suppliers, and sponsors, building strong relationships and ensuring that every event aligns with the charity’s goals and values.

You’ll be an experienced events professional with strong organisational skills, creative flair, and the ability to juggle multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Lead the development cycle for assessments, ensuring quality and compliance

• Support the recruitment and management of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Skills / Experience Required
 

• Experience in assessment development within an awarding organisation
• Experience in writing, reviewing, or developing assessments
• Background in secondary or further education
• Examining experience is desirable
• Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience (essential)
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficient digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and digital tools
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Commitment to customer service and inclusive practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Two-stage interview process, including a digital literacy assessment and/or a role-specific task
• First stage interviews from 19th November 2025
• Role-specific task for second-stage candidates to be completed by 1st December 2025

About the role

The HR Business Delivery Partner will  play a key role in delivering proactive, people-focused HR support across the employee lifecycle—partnering with managers to embed best practice, drive organisational performance, and ensure compliance.

The role also leads on learning and development, HR systems, data insights, and line management of the HR Administrator.

About you

You are a confident and collaborative HR professional with a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience) and a strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. You bring proven experience of partnering with managers across complex organisations to deliver people-centred, pragmatic HR solutions that support both operational needs and organisational culture.

You are adept at guiding and coaching line managers through all stages of the employee lifecycle, including handling employee relations matters such as disciplinary and grievance processes. Your approach to problem-solving is proactive, people-focused, and grounded in sound judgement.

You have experience developing and reviewing HR policies, procedures, and supporting documentation, and are comfortable administering HR systems and using Excel to interpret data and inform decision-making

• Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement in handling sensitive information

• Comfort working independently and remotely; able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision

• Company Secretary Experience desirable

• Experience with Google Workspace and basic formatting tools for paper packs preferred
