Finance Manager
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the growing Reaching Higher team and bring our finance function fully in-house. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who will play a pivotal role in ensuring strong financial systems, accurate reporting, and sound financial planning. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in financial management and governance, budgeting and forecasting, payroll and pension oversight, and the ability to provide clear strategic insight and analysis to support organisational growth and sustainability.
Purpose of this Role
Our finance functions are currently partially outsourced to an external contractor. Our income has grown significantly over the past five years and our Board have now decided to employ a Finance Manager and bring financial expertise in-house. In this new position as the Finance Manager at Reaching Higher, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and planning, payroll and pension management, and financial governance and compliance. You will support all aspects of Reaching Higher’s work and development through ensuring strong financial systems.
You will work closely with our team to ensure that all day-to-day finance requirements are met, including accurate grant finance monitoring and reporting to multiple funders. You will also work closely with our senior leaders and board to build the charity’s financial resilience and the financial awareness of our wider team.
You will work closely with the Executive Assistant & Administrator and report to the Executive Director, as well as working closely with the Executive Team, Treasurer and wider Board.

Reaching Higher is a youth organisation which works with over 2000 young people aged 9-21 each year across Croydon and surrounding boroughs. What is the overall purpose of the role?
At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future.
We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.

We’ve made substantial progress in recent years, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and significant growth in our staff team. To support this growth, we are recruiting for a part time Business Support Officer to help provide administrative support to our growing team of staff and volunteers.
Working closely with colleagues across the charity, your responsibilities will include supporting our Resources Manager to ensure that our operational teams have access to all the learning resources they need, providing administrative support to our operational and volunteer management teams, and helping to keep our internal systems up to date.
It is essential that you have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, good communication abilities, and a proactive attitude towards assisting with diverse administrative tasks. You must be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of the commonly used Microsoft business tools, and be able to work independently. Underpinning this will be the ability to build relationships, and personal qualities that include persistence, determination and a problem-solving approach. About the opportunity
The Training Officer will have a range of administrative responsibilities relating to Action Tutoring’s tutor training delivery and curriculum resources.
As Training Officer, you will support the Training Team by scheduling sessions in digital systems, organising and checking ID and DBS documents submitted by volunteer tutors, and responding to enquiries to support a smooth tutor journey. The role does not involve delivering training to volunteers

Office Manager (Part-Time, 12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: City of London (Hybrid - 1 day in office, 2 days remote)
Working Pattern: 3 days per week (Tuesdays in-office required)
A respected organisation in the maritime sector is seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to join their team on a part-time basis for a 12-month maternity cover. This is a varied and hands-on role, offering a blend of operational oversight, administrative support, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day office operations and facilities management
- Maintain office supplies, vendor relationships, and service contracts
- Support HR functions including holiday tracking and staff coordination
- Provide secretarial support to the Board and sub-committees
- Assist with billing queries and manage a bespoke IT system (training provided)
- Coordinate the planned office relocation (City of London - May 2026)
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or a similar administrative role
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Knowledge of or experience in the Maritime or Shipping sector is advantageous but not essential.

We are recruiting for a Temporary Senior Campaigns & Public Affairs Officer for a social welfare charity. You will need strong experience in public affairs, event management and briefing senior leaders .
Hybrid working 2 days in their London office
The Role
Support with project management and maintaining clear communication between teams across the organisation during a fast-paced period.
Provide monitoring of relevant external policy and political developments.
Support with the planning, coordination and delivery of our parliamentary
Provide briefings and key data for internal and external stakeholder
Draft press releases, policy blogs, and external communications related to policy and public affairs.
Support digital campaigning efforts through Engaging Networks, including drafting clear communications to supporters and politicians.
Ensure consistent branding, messaging, framing and tone of voice is used in all materials.
Ensure the voices of people with lived experience are centred in our campaign communications
Identify opportunities to influence external moments.
Support with campaign launch strategy, planning, monitoring and evaluation
Identify strategic MPs or influential contacts to support our strategy and support with engagement.
Represent the organisation at relevant meetings, conferences, and forums.
The Candidate
Strong communication skills including writing and editing with the ability to communicate in person and via telephone,video call or email with colleagues, campaigners and members of the public
Experience of communicating with politicians and government officials.
Experience of supporting fast-paced public affairs or campaign strategies.
Experience of involving people who are affected by an issue in campaign activity.
Experience of using digital tools to campaign ideally Engaging Networks
Strong knowledge of the current UK political environment, including parliamentary procedure.
Some knowledge of social security, poverty and financial insecurity in the UK.
Good knowledge of different campaigning tools and tactics

About You

You will also have:
- Experience as a HR Generalist or similar role.
