About the Role
As a Campaign Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and maximising fundraising opportunities across our entire portfolio of campaigns, with a strong emphasis on our broadcast initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies for all monthly and evergreen campaigns, with a primary focus on delivery in our on-air and digital broadcasts.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including production, to create compelling and effective content for all fundraising campaigns, particularly for on-air appeals.
- Co-ordinating the end-to-end delivery of fundraising campaigns, ensuring they are aligned with our strategic goals.

As our Senior Finance Officer you will contribute to Career Ready’s finance and operations function by providing high quality financial support to the charity. Working as part of a small team of three, you will perform core finance tasks and will support the Head of Finance and Operations with budgeting, reporting and auditing activities.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Temp Finance Manager to join the team. As Temp Finance Manager, you will assist the finance and administration manager with daily finance operations, such as overseeing the financial controls procedures, ensuring that policy and expectations are clear and maintaining the financial records for all income and expenditure streams. Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will be an experienced finance professional accustomed to working in a small busy finance function. You will have excellent financial transactional and bookkeeping experience. You will maintain the financial records for all income and expenditure streams, ensuring the timely and accurate production of month end accounts, reconciliations and reporting from SAGE. Previous experience of creating and implementing financial procedures and policies as well as experience of devising and implementing systems improvements will be beneficial.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a friendly and reliable freelance bookkeeper or accountant to join our extended team and help keep our finances running smoothly. You’ll play a key behind-the-scenes role, working with the Senior Finance Manager to support our charity’s sustainability and activities. Student Minds is a medium sized charity (turnover approx £1m and 27 staff) and we need to make every penny work to support our student communities.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with purpose-led organisations, and who values flexibility, collaborative working and community impact.
Your Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.

Process accounts payable and receivable.

Support the invoicing process.

Reconcile bank accounts, control accounts and company payment cards.

Reconcile income reports.

Prepare draft monthly management accounts.

Prepare financial reports.

Manage routine credit control.

Manage the central finance email inbox.

Ensure financial data integrity and confidentiality.
What We’re Looking For - Minimum Criteria

Proven experience (at least 2 years) as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, ideally with charities or community organisations

Proficiency and experience in Xero accounting software.

AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
-
Knowledge of financial regulations and tax procedures.

Proficient with Microsoft Office packages, with advanced knowledge of Excel

Grade C and above / Grade 5 and above in GCSE Maths or equivalent.

Excellent communication skills.

About you
We are looking for a skilled and experienced contract management professional with a strong understanding of third sector commissioning and service delivery. You will have a proven ability to manage and monitor complex contracts, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and funding conditions. How are staff supported to work remotely?
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. All Employees are homebased meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).
VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.
