The Role:

As a member of the Work Experience team, you will play a key role in facilitating meaningful work experience placements for young people in Tower Hamlets. In this role, you'll work closely with local employers in Tower Hamlets and the City of London to support them in delivering engaging placements.

Responsibilities will include actively recruiting and onboarding new employers through phone calls, online meetings and carrying out on-site health and safety checks. In addition, you’ll support the Work Experience Manager in delivering school-based sessions, such as assemblies and Q&A drop-ins, to help prepare young people for their placements. You’ll also assist in coordinating placements at The Switch by creating schedules and supporting young people with their tasks. During delivery weeks, the team is responsible for providing responsive support to employers and schools. In case of any issues, you may be required to work from the office five days per week during these periods. 

Details:

· The role sits in the Work Experience team and reports to Work Experience Manager

· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays

· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 to 3 days a week, except on delivery weeks where you may be required to be in the office 5 days per week

About the role

· Assist the Fundraising department in planning and delivering national and large-scale fundraising activities.

Our Youth and Play Workers will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services. In this role you will be part of a small and dynamic team which delivers a wide range of programmes and activities, both from Tulse Hill Adventure Playground and within local schools. The work of the Children, Young People and Families team is diverse and varied. About the role

Job Purpose

This role sits within our new forensic Women’s Nova Roots service, which is a peer led service for women who are leaving forensic services, based in West London. The service will be open 3 days a week: one weekday evening out of hours and three weekends a month (flexible weekend pattern and times can be arranged).

The aim of the service is to support women who are leaving forensic care to re-integrate into society by offering a community social hub. The focus of the service is to provide social engagement, relaxation and a touch point for out of hours forensic support. The Women’s Hub will provide face-to-face holistic group support, offer psychoeducation and health workshops tailored and coproduced to the direct needs of clients, offer peer-led groups which will be co-designed and led by the clients accessing the hub. We will also offer a range of activities onsite.

Nova Roots will be an extension of the existing support offered by the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT), offering out of hours social support. All referrals into the hub will be directly from the SCFTs and local hospitals.

The Nova Roots will be staffed with 1 part time Project Coordinator and 4 Forensic/Peer Led Volunteers – with Service Manager oversight. The Project Coordinator will work directly and closely with the SCFTs.

The Role

The role of the Nova Roots Project Coordinator is to arrange and coordinate a range of psychoeducation, health and peer-led workshops which will be delivered 3 times a week. The Nova Roots Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the 4 peer-led volunteers and oversight of the site 3 days a week. Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

This post will lead the community engagement work with young people across the three boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Westminster. You will lead SASH’s young persons’ outreach and engagement, and provide information, advice and support to young people on issues related to sexual health and wellbeing as well as signposting to appropriate services. A key component of the role will be to engage young people in the programme in

innovative and creative ways with an expectation to be delivering in outreach settings a minimum of three days a week.

In partnership with Turning Point, NAZ and London Friend, METRO delivers a new model of sexual health support throughout the three London boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. Turning Point is the lead partner for the contract and the staffing structure, and composition reflects a mixed leadership model, which is governed by a Partnership Board.

Main Purpose of the Role

• Support the planning and delivery of mentor training sessions and assist with ongoing mentor engagement

· Set clear goals and objectives to measure the success of business development efforts. Analyse market trends and the competitive landscape to inform partnership strategies.

Partnership Development and Relationship Management 

· Identify and engage potential partners while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing stakeholders. 

· Serve as the main point of contact for key partners, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. 

Opportunity Identification and Market Research 

· Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships that align with organisational goals, including new membership opportunities.

· Conduct market research to recognise trends, opportunities, and challenges in the sector, analysing competitor activities to inform strategies.

· Deliver on existing opportunities and identify new ones, including sponsorship activities for events, projects, programmes, work, events and conferences, and smaller strategic roundtables.

Negotiation and Contract Management 

· Lead detailed negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring favourable terms for both parties, and oversee contract management to ensure compliance and performance monitoring.

Collaboration and Project Management 

· Work closely with internal colleagues to align partnership initiatives with business objectives, managing execution to ensure initiatives align with organisational priorities. 

· Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate campaigns and promotional events effectively.

Performance Tracking and Financial Management

We are looking for an experienced and passionate direct marketing professional, or someone with relevant transferable skills, to join us as our new Direct Marketing Fundraiser. 

This is an exciting time to join the fundraising team with significant growth across multiple income streams, including individual giving. This role will be integral to developing our individual giving programme to support the growth and sustainability of our income, whilst also driving supporter engagement. You will be responsible for the hospice’s direct mail campaigns and maintaining and developing strong relationships with donors to maximise income generation. You will be involved in a range of individual giving activities including regular giving, appeals and lottery.

You will have excellent communication skills, being able to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers and supporters and will work closely with our Communications and Marketing team. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, strong organisational abilities and a track record of delivering projects on time.

Based at our state-of-the-art children’s hospice just outside Maidenhead, this role is a brilliant opportunity for someone to add value to a growing fundraising team.
