About you:

• Some understanding of working in supported housing or floating support services, with a demonstrable knowledge of Housing and other related Legislation or a relevant qualification.
• Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to vulnerable client group(s). 
• Ability to effectively liaise with a range of service providers or agencies in order to establish or improve services for clients.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Senior Community Fundraising Manager, you will grow our community income by recruiting and managing community supporters to drive our fundraising efforts across our key campaigns, lead and motivate individuals to take part in fundraising activities, turning conversations into lasting relationships that support our amazing local NHS hospitals.

Working primarily with community supporters, the post-holder will also need to work closely with our Corporate, Individual Giving and Legacy, Comms and Marketing colleagues in support of our overall objectives.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and cultivate a portfolio of community supporters and prospects to grow income
   
• Build multi-layered stewardship plan that secures long-term support and offers excellent customer service
   
• Build year-round cultivation and stewardship event plan for individual supporters and community groups
   
• Support Senior Community Fundraising Manager to develop and implement annual community fundraising action plans to grow income, generate new leads and manage ongoing relationships
   
• Conduct prospect research to identify best prospects and plan approaches to introduce the Charity to secure support, to include Charity of the Year partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
   
• Proactively cultivate and develop relationships with new community supporters and develop relationships with existing donors to secure ongoing support
   
• Provide effective relationship management and stewardship to demonstrably increase retention of community donors
   
• To promote and help co-ordinate NHC volunteering opportunities
   
• Think creatively to develop fundraising initiatives to encourage community supporters to engage with Nottingham Hospitals Charity quickly and easily
   
• Identify opportunities to secure Nottingham Hospitals Charity as the beneficiary for community charity events

Purpose of the Role 

The Helpline Manager will manage and provide support and advice to a team of Helpline Support, Caseworkers, IDVA, and Helpline volunteers who will be handling calls. The role will also include occasionally providing helpline cover during staff shortages. The helpline supports women on more than 45 different issues with most of the calls relate to violence against women and girls (VAWG) as well as mental health and wellbeing. The Helpline Manager will be responsible in ensuring that the service continues to be culturally sensitive and be able to respond to a diverse population of women with complex needs; managing the rota for staff and volunteers, ensuring there is sufficient helpline cover, identifying and managing safeguarding issues, monitoring staff performance, maintaining the helpline database, and providing helpline data to other staff. 

The role will also include occasionally attending external stakeholder meetings and raising awareness of the helpline service. The Helpline Manager will also have some involvement in other MWNUK projects, services and activities as required. The role requires a proactive, organised and practical approach to ensure MWNUK’s projects are delivered effectively and efficiently, providing high quality support and customer service across the organisation, both internally and externally.

Main responsibilities 

• Supervising the Helpline team of 11 staff (however this is equivalent to 3 full-time staff per day only) and ensuring there is sufficient helpline cover and monitoring their wellbeing. 

• Recruiting and training helpline staff and volunteers with the support of senior management and ensuring their development needs are flagged up. 

• Monitoring performance of helpline staff through daily check-ins, debriefs, monthly supervision meetings and annual appraisals. 

• Holding regular helpline team meetings and sharing learning as well as identifying and sharing interesting cases with Senior Leadership Team including the Advocacy Officer. 

• Planning and delivering training to staff and volunteers in line with changes in law, policies and procedures, including safeguarding. 

• Regularly attending external meetings such as MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference), liaising with police, social services, and other partner agencies. These meetings are a critical part of safeguarding and time for preparation and follow-up is built into the role. 

Safeguarding 

• Implementing MWNUK Children and Adult Safeguarding policies and procedures. 

• Responding to safeguarding concerns in a timely manner and promoting good practice. 

• Identification, handling and recording of all safeguarding risks and issues for both children and adults, including in instances of domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour-based violence, sexual abuse, self-harm, isolation, housing, marriage and divorce etc. 

• Escalating and de-escalating risk, report writing and recording accurately all decision-making during case reviews. 

• Having regular case reviews and making evidence-based decision-making. 

• Monitoring and evaluating safeguarding practices. 

• Liaising with external agencies as and when required. 

• Reviewing helpline cases before they are closed ensuring the data has been properly recorded. 

Managing cases 

• Triaging, managing, prioritizing and allocating helpline cases. 

• Maintenance of accurate records, online databases, filing systems and computer files and gathering of statistics as required by the Operational Director and / or CEO and external evaluating consultant. 

• Maintenance of all information in line with confidentiality and data protection policies while observing professional boundaries at all times. 

• Monitoring helpline data and identifying any trends and sharing them with senior management and the Advocacy Officer. 

• Ensuring policies and procedures are followed. 

Other duties 

• When required (i.e. when there are staff shortages) provide cover on the helpline and respond to phone calls, emails, texts, webchat and the newly launched Amal Safety Mobile App, in a faith and culturally sensitive manner. 

• Keeping up to date with helpline issues such as forced marriages, domestic violence, honour- based violence, sexual violence, female genital mutilation, mental health, discrimination and women’s rights – including assisting with projects and services on these issues. 

• Promoting the helpline’s services to a range of stakeholders. 

• The role will occasionally involve delivering training workshops and leading discussions on critical issues such as forced marriages, domestic violence, FGM, and honour-based violence, primarily with schools, colleges, and community organisations. These responsibilities will be planned in advance and integrated into the team’s schedule. 

• Carrying out duties to support the Operational Director and CEO. 

• Attending training for professional development, as required. 

• Undertaking outreach work, if required. 

Person Specification 

Professional Experience, Knowledge and Understanding 

• Strong experience of dealing with minority ethnic women particularly from Muslim communities who have suffered domestic violence and other forms of abuse such as forced marriage, honour- based violence, sexual violence, mental health issues etc. 

• Knowledge of key issues that will arise on the helpline such as domestic violence, forced marriage, honour-based violence, sexual violence, mental health, hate crime etc. 

• At least one year's experience in handling children and adult safeguarding. 

• Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities. 

• Working in a trauma informed way by recognizing impact of trauma on women. 

• Experience of managing, supporting and supervising a small team. 

• Second language such as Arabic, Bangla, Punjabi or Urdu. 

• Excellent IT skills (Microsoft365: word processing, databases, PowerPoint, spreadsheets and Outlook). 

• Desirable line management experience.

• Significant organisational and administrative skills, supported by a proficiency with ICT. 

• Able to build relationships with whilst maintaining professional boundaries.

As a key member of the legal team, you will assist lawyers with casework, support client care, and ensure the smooth operation of our legal advice service. Your role will be integral to ensuring survivors receive high-quality, compassionate, and informed legal support.

The Marcomms Officer reports into a Marketing Manager and works across the Brand & Marketing team to:

Job Title: Support Time and Recovery Worker 

Location: Based in Lewisham, across various homes, hospitals, wards, and supported living accommodations

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern:  37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the role

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting those who struggle with complex needs, substance use, and dual diagnosis. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to support residents and participants who struggle to engage with the support available to them through various providers. You will be at the heart of engaging our participants to regain motivation and the strength to step down from acute psychiatric wards and other supported living, by empowering them with the relevant skills and knowledge to support their journey. You will support them towards achieving their personal goals including independent living. You will be based across various homes, hospitals, wards, and supported living accommodations based around Lewisham.

You will provide pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve more safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. The areas of support will include: Prevention, Transition, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Support, and Social Inclusion. 

This role will work alongside South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) who provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. They also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol with 4,600 staff serving a local population of 1.3 million people.

• Support a caseload of participants, contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
• Positively promote the pathways available towards independent living within the community. Ensure participants understand what tools and resources are available to them to regain independence.
• Participate in, and encourage R&Ps to participate in the running and development of projects, initiatives, training and volunteering.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
• You may need to attend external appointments when required.
• Admin duties will vary, this includes maintaining confidential records in a timely manner using

• You will understand the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Yorkshire and Durham areas, ideally based in the York area. The candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the regions. Occasional travel to London will be required. The role and your key responsibilities

As a Partner Success Lead your role is to provide world class customer service to our partner base of over 2,500 schools and colleges. You will be responsible for onboarding our new schools and supporting our existing schools to make the most of the Unifrog platform.   • Leading on and supporting a variety of other projects across other parts of the business during quieter periods.
  • Proactively working to foster a sense of community amongst our Unifrog partners and always thinking about how we can promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice across our partner schools.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.
