About the role
This tole is based in Cumbria. Turning the Spotlight is a busy service supporting families experiencing domestic abuse including perpetrators. You will manage case workers and facilitators in our dedicated healthy relationships programme.
As a Team Leader you will:
- provide leadership, advice and guidance to your team
- monitor the progress & quality of support delivered to service users
- develop your team, addressing any individual development/performance needs, setting both individual & team objectives & undertaking annual appraisals
- provide safeguarding advice & guidance as required
- promote effective communication channels including coordinating & facilitating regular team meetings, sharing feedback & highlighting best practice
- manage external project specific work & relationships as required
You will need:
- Experience of managing & supporting a team; including performance management, one to ones and staff development
- Experience of supporting victims and vulnerable people
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirements
- To be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising effectively to deal with competing demands
- Good communication, negotiation & advisory skills, both written & verbal when interacting with a range of agencies & individuals
- Experience of delivering behaviour change programmes to perpetrators of domestic abuse & those at risk of becoming perpetrators

About the Role:
Victim Support (VS) is the leading independent charity in England and Wales for people who have been affected by crime and traumatic incidents. Understanding the experience and needs of victims and witnesses of crime is central to the charities' aims and vision.
As a Research & Lived Experience Officer you will have the opportunity to capture the voice of victims and promote evidence based recommendations to improve the experience of victims in the criminal justice system. You will be a part of a small but enthusiastic research team, while also having the opportunity to lead your own project.
You will have the opportunity to recruit participants and manage a Lived Experience Engagement Forum, and to regularly engage, build and maintain close relationships with the forum's participants. You will also need to conduct workshops/focus groups to collect feedback and insights from the participants on various products and procedures, and produce summaries of this feedback.
To be successful in the role you will need to have proven experience in recruiting vulnerable people to take part in research activities and conducting workshops or focus groups and interviews. Experience in writing and analysing surveys is an advantage. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently, as well as experience of working in partnership with various stakeholders. Having knowledge of victims of crime is desirable, but not essential.

To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator on a bank working basis to work across the North region. Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the North region, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the region including some overnight stays.
This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed.

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. As Individual Giving Executive for Camphill Village Trust, you will project manage a range of Individual Giving (IG) campaigns, mainly through engagement of existing donors, across a range of channels, including direct mail, email and social media. You will seek to maximise income and provide high levels of supporter engagement.
The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in meeting / exceeding fundraising targets in a similar Individual Giving fundraising role. You will possess proficient project management skills and have delivered projects on time and within budget. Excellent verbal and written communications are imperative as is the ability to form and develop positive relationships with people at all levels.

About the role:
This role is based at Accrington working in a multi agency team at Lancashire House. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As a MARRAC Team Leader you will:
- Ensure the effective delivery of the MARRAC process, holding daily discussions with partners to contribute & support the initial assessment process
- Ensure the consistent delivery of services by allocating & monitoring work across the team
- Provide any immediate safety & support needs to the victim & their family
- Work alongside the police safeguarding teams to ensure the effective delivery of Operation Provide
- Chair MARRAC meetings, facilitating the sharing of sensitive information securely ensuring all partners take part in joint safeguarding
- Complete case management audits & reports to case records are accurate & in line with standards
- Be responsible for safeguarding quality assurance & compliance with policy, providing guidance as required
- Complete line management duties for your team including recruitment, training completion, performance management, support & guidance.
You will need:
- Experience managing a team delivering front line support to victims
- A comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact, hold an IDVA accreditation
- Knowledge of risk assessment & safety planning & Safeguarding issues
- Theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil & criminal justice remedies for victims
- Ability to build & mainitain partnerships & pathways to improve service delivery
- Good orgnisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
- Strong crisis management skills, able to deal with difficult situations.
- Strong communication, negotiation & advisory skills, both written and verbal with the confidence to challenge
- IT skills, able to sue Microsoft Office & Case Management systems

This is a fixed-term, full-time role ending 31st March 2026. The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
We’re looking for an experienced project officer with a passion for working with communities, to inspire and support people to discover, explore and take community-led action for nature in Greater Manchester. This role will work closely with established partners and existing RSPB local groups and volunteers, including the Greater Manchester Swift Champions, to develop new opportunities to work with community groups, focusing on supporting creating new habitats for swifts, one of the UK’s most threatened species. You will explore opportunities for working more closely with young people, with the aspiration to establish two RSPB youth groups in Greater Manchester and a Swift Youth Action Group focused on 16 – 24-year-olds. You will identify where the RSPB can best support and enhance nature, with guidance from local conservation staff.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead front-line delivery of RSPB’s community engagement work at a local level, inspiring people to connect with nature through an 18-month programme of events and activities. Central to this will be recruitment and management of a network of volunteers. The Project Officer will be responsible for developing and running a rolling programme of training to enable volunteers to develop skills to allow them to continue to support nature-based initiatives.
You will have experience of delivering community projects, events and experience of volunteer recruitment, induction and management, and the ability to motivate volunteers to independently deliver organisational objectives. The confidence to make decisions that enable the continued delivery of key objectives and to keep the project on track is crucial, as is the ability to communicate these decisions, where applicable, with stakeholders and partners.
Specific tasks:
- To lead our community engagement work in Greater Manchester, inspiring local communities to take action for nature, ensuring work is resilient and sustainable beyond the life of the project.
- To build a full picture of local environmental networks and the range of nature recovery and environmental work taking place locally, identifying opportunities to develop new partnerships.
- Act as an advocate for nature recovery within a diverse range of sectors including local government and private businesses to further our support for nature.
- Build links and strengthen existing relationships with RSPB Local Groups and other volunteer-led work taking place in urban green spaces, liaising closely with partners.
- To lead and continue to grow the Greater Manchester Swift Champion network of volunteers with the support of the Species Volunteer Network (SVN), which will allow us to do more for Swifts within local communities.
- Identify opportunities for youth involvement in establishing a Swift Champions Youth Action Group and two new RSPB Youth Groups, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver a series of volunteer recruitment, induction, and training days to increase numbers of new active volunteers within Manchester as well as building resilience and upskilling existing volunteers.
- Develop and deliver an 18-month programme of diverse nature-based events and activities (with a focus on Swifts including the installation of Swift boxes and/or bricks).
- To embed evaluation measures and provide regular reports to show impact across Greater Manchester.
