The Communications Co-ordinator plays an important role in helping MindOut communicate its impact, services, campaigns and community voice to a wide range of stakeholders. Working closely with the Charity Director, Heritage Project Manager, staff team, volunteers and external partners, the postholder will ensure MindOut's communications remain engaging, accessible, inclusive and reflective of LGBTQ+ lived experiences. 

While supporting with our communications for the charity, the role has a particular focus on supporting communications for MindOut's National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Speaking Our Minds: MindOut 25+ Years and LGBTQ Mental Health, helping to capture and share the stories, achievements and learning from the project while increasing engagement with LGBTQ communities, funders and supporters. 

This opportunity would suit a creative and organised communications professional who enjoys producing content, managing digital platforms, engaging with audiences and supporting community-focused projects. 

Role description 

You will bring the skills, experience, creativity and confidence to support all aspects of MindOut's communications, marketing and public profile, helping to promote our services, campaigns, community engagement activities and heritage work. 

Main Tasks 

Communications & Content Creation 

• Develop and deliver engaging communications across MindOut's social media, website, newsletters and other communication channels. 

• Create accessible and inclusive content that reflects the diversity of LGBTQ+ communities. 

• Write articles, blogs, case studies, impact stories, promotional materials and project updates. 

• Support the development of a consistent organisational voice and communication style. 

• Gather and manage photographs, testimonials, quotes, video content and community stories, ensuring appropriate consent and permissions are obtained. 

Social Media & Digital Engagement 

• Lead on the day-to-day management of MindOut's social media platforms. 

• Plan and schedule content using appropriate digital tools. 

• Monitor engagement, respond appropriately to enquiries and identify opportunities to increase reach and engagement. 

• Track performance and provide regular reports on communications activity and impact. 

• Keep up to date with relevant trends, campaigns and issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities and mental health. 

Heritage Project Communications 

• Lead communications activity for Speaking Our Minds: MindOut 25+ Years and LGBTQ Mental Health. 

• Promote project activities including oral history interviews, workshops, exhibitions, volunteer opportunities and public events. 

• Support the development and promotion of online heritage content and digital exhibitions. 

• Work alongside volunteers, participants and partners to showcase project outcomes and achievements. 

• Assist with gathering project evidence, feedback and impact stories required for funder reporting. 

Events & Community Engagement 

• Support the promotion and delivery of community events, awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement activities. 

• Produce event marketing materials and communications. 

• Coordinate communications before, during and after events. 

• Support relationships with community groups, partners, funders and stakeholders. 

Website & Email Communications 

• Maintain and update website content. 

• Produce and distribute newsletters and email communications using appropriate digital platforms. 

• Support audience development and mailing list management in line with GDPR requirements. 

• Monitor website and email performance and identify opportunities for improvement. 

Media & Public Relations 

• Draft press releases, media statements and promotional content. 

• Build relationships with local, regional and LGBTQ+ media contacts. 

• Support media opportunities that raise awareness of MindOut's work and impact. 

• Assist senior staff with communications relating to public campaigns and organisational announcements. 

Administration & Monitoring 

• Maintain accurate communications records, image libraries and consent documentation. 

• Support monitoring and evaluation of communications activities. 

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, confidentiality and organisational policies. 

• Produce reports on communications activity for funders, management and trustees as required.

About the Role

Age UK Westminster is looking for a compassionate, organised and motivated Goal-Focused Befriending Coordinator to lead our structured befriending service for older residents experiencing loneliness, social isolation and reduced wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting older people to identify personal goals, build confidence, strengthen social connections and improve their overall wellbeing. What You'll Be Doing

As the Goal-Focused Befriending Coordinator, you will:

• Manage a caseload of older residents receiving structured, goal-focused befriending support.
• Complete assessments, support plans, reviews and outcome-focused interventions.
• Deliver support through home visits, telephone contact, guided conversations and community-based activities.
• Empower residents to identify goals, overcome barriers and build confidence and independence.
• Support approximately 100 residents each year to reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing.
• Develop and coordinate a monthly Befriending Café to encourage peer support, social connection and community participation.
• Build strong partnerships with Westminster City Council, health services, voluntary organisations and community groups.
• Develop referral pathways that enable residents to access wider support services.
• Recruit, match, support and supervise befriending volunteers.
• Provide volunteers with guidance, regular supervision and ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate case records and monitor outcomes using recognised wellbeing measures, including:
  • Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS)
  • Life Satisfaction Measures

As Homeless Pathway Coordinator, you’ll be a consistent and trusted presence for patients experiencing homelessness, helping them navigate what can feel like an overwhelming mix of health, housing and support systems. You’ll spend time with patients on wards and in A&E, listening to what matters to them, understanding the barriers they face and making sure their voice remains at the heart of every decision.

Day to day, you’ll manage a caseload, complete assessments, develop clear discharge and support plans and make referrals to housing, healthcare, social care, mental health and substance use services. You’ll follow up actions, keep plans moving and advocate firmly when someone is at risk of being discharged without the right accommodation or support in place.

You’ll work closely with the Homeless Pathway Lead, hospital teams, Newham Council and SHP’s wider Health Team, bringing professionals together and helping everyone stay focused on the person behind the case. You’ll also build links with community services, identify gaps in existing pathways and share learning that helps the hospital respond more effectively to people experiencing homelessness.

This is a role where strong relationships can change the course of someone’s recovery. You’ll join an experienced and supportive team, with opportunities to deepen your knowledge of inclusion health, homelessness and psychologically informed practice through training, reflective practice and shared learning.

One Can Trust is a thriving local charity supporting individuals and families experiencing hardship across South Bucks. Alongside our food bank, we run a clothes bank, toddler groups and a community café. With a dedicated team of 11 staff and over 400 volunteers, we currently support around 360 people each week.

We are looking for a practical, organised and community-minded Warehouse Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day running of our warehouse operation. This is a hands-on role that combines stock management, volunteer supervision, health and safety responsibilities and general warehouse administration.

About the role

As Warehouse Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the food bank warehouse. Key responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Receive, inspect and record food donations from suppliers, businesses, community groups and members of the public.
• Organise and rotate stock to ensure food is stored safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
• Ensure adequate stock levels are available for food parcel preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Report shortages, surpluses or operational issues to the Operations Manager.

Volunteer Coordination

We are looking for a commited Christian to join our Recovery Coordination Team as an organised and proactive Admissions Coordinator. As the first point of contact for prospective residents, commissioners, families and referring agencies, you will play a vital role in ensuring that individuals receive a professional, welcoming and supportive experience from their first enquiry through to admission.

We have a part-time role available (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a strategic and developing ministry amongst Young Adults. YouShape is a year-long journey for young adults aged 18-30, based in a local hub, building friendships, exploring Christian practices and sharing in retreats, residentials, pilgrimage and adventure!

You will work within a supportive, enthusiastic team and will have significant scope to shape your work and how YouShape grows as you implement the Diocesan strategy for ministry amongst Young Adults within the Discipleship and Social Justice Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service supporting Carers across City of London to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs. We are working with Carers from a range of cultures, and it would be an advantage to speak Bengali.

The team work holistically with Carers to understand their individual circumstances and level of need. You’ll carry out home visits and community-based meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Carers, families, and professionals. To coordinate Dudley Lodge's impact reporting, fundraising support and business development activities across the organisation.

Age UK Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Lead Coordinator to work with the Wellbeing Services Manager on the delivery of its Digital Inclusion service, supporting older people and those experiencing social isolation to develop the confidence, skills and access needed to participate fully in the digital world. The service supports vulnerable older adults, including people living with dementia, through one-to-one coaching, group sessions, equipment loans, and community-based support.
