Sitting in a high performing team of five the Workforce Development & Training Officers will work together to deliver all aspects of the team’s operational work which achieves the objective of growing the workforce in our specialties, clinical oncology and clinical radiology. In this broad role you will encompass supporting both trainees and their trainers through their programmes. You will be self-motivated, able to build your expertise in the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks within which they operate and apply that expertise across a wide portfolio of activity. As new initiatives evolve and become business as usual, the work of operations will evolve.
What you’ll do:
- Provide tailored advice on all matters that might affect a trainee’s status and training time using expertise in the regulatory frameworks associated with specialty training in the UK.
- Proactively work with WDTO colleagues to ensure trainees and trainers are adequately supported.
- Review and prepare CESR and MTI applications for assessment by the specialist committee.
- Manage and deliver the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) recommendation process.
- Provide a timely, customer-focussed and responsive service.
What you’ll need:
- Detailed understanding (or the ability to rapidly acquire it) of UK legislation and GMC regulations and procedures in relation to entry to GMC registers and the right to work in the UK.

As our Registration, Accreditation and Membership Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the membership lifecycle process. In addition, this role coordinates and actively manages the administration of applications and renewals for the Institute’s accreditation and professional registration assessments, working closely with our voluntary assessors and committees. These functions are managed using the Institute’s CRM system and integrated software.
You will coordinate and actively manage the flow of applications for IFST’s wide range of membership and other registration assessment processes, via our network of trained assessors. The role is also responsible for monitoring and reporting to ensure consistently high standards of assessment are maintained, and for the maintenance and integrity of our registers including CPD associated with our registers. You will efficiently manage the accreditation of training programmes and courses.
You will be a confident communicator with an eye for detail and knowledge of Professional Development and Recognition and/or CPD schemes. Ideally you will have Food Sector and/or University sector experience. As the lead role in our Membership team, you’ll line manage our Registration and Accreditation Officer and our Registration and Accreditation Administrator to provide an excellent service to our members. We are a small team, so a proactive and can-do attitude are just as important as your communication & organisational skills.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insight, advice and support to key stakeholders across the organisation. You will be a trusted adviser to non-finance teams helping them to understand financial data and make informed decisions. As Exams Assistant you will support the day to day running of the examinations with a particular focus on question bank management. You will be working with the Examinations Team and examiners across all specialties. This will include supporting examiner panels to organise and run question writing sessions and ensuring that question banks remain up to date.
You will also have a number of other examination-related duties, including – but not limited to – processing applications, invigilating at examination and collating examination results.
The College offers Fellowship examinations in 17 different pathological specialties, supported by the Examinations Team and a panel of volunteer examiners from the College’s Fellows for each specialty. The examinations are run both online and in person.

Country Committees help to shape the strategic direction of The National Lottery Community Fund with a focus on the four missions: supporting communities to connect, supporting environmentally sustainable communities, enabling children and young people to thrive, and enabling people to live healthier lives.The primary role for Committee members is to use their knowledge and strategic thinking to help provide the direction for The National Lottery Community Fund, make decisions on large funding applications and be an ambassador for the Fund.

Important Information
Agreement: This is a non-executive role requiring a time commitment of around 2 days per month (although this may vary from month to month) and is for a term of two years.

About the role:
As the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of our charity. You will be a member of the executive team and work closely to manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance, providing the insights necessary for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and overseeing the company’s financial planning and strategy, ensuring alignment with our charitable goals.
- Overseeing financial controls and reporting processes.
- Managing and developing strategies for working capital and treasury management.
- Ensuring operational finance, accounting and tax and audit compliance to meet all regulatory and legal requirements, managing risk effectively.
- Acting as the finance lead for donor and social venture relationship management.
- Preparing and presenting detailed financial reports to the executive team and the board of governors, offering clear and actionable insights to guide strategic decisions.
You will have:
- Worked in a senior finance role, preferably as a Director of Finance or similar position ideally in the charity sector.
- A chartered accountant or management accountant (ACCA, CIMA etc) qualification.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with the ability to implement and optimise financial systems.
- The ability to think strategically alongside excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Purpose of your Job:
This is an exciting new role at Centre 33 and will play a key role to support the advancement and successful implementation of an operational plan to fundraise across Corporate and Community opportunities.
We would like to hear from ambitious fundraisers who have experience in these income streams, maybe as a team member, who is looking for the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge further within Centre 33’s growing Fundraising department. The role holder will work closely with the Development & Partnerships Lead and Director of Development & Partnerships to help create an operational plan and will then have ownership of delivering the plan and the associated income target. This will include identifying opportunities, creating cases for support, and arranging engaging and productive events for existing and potential partners. There will also be the opportunity to feed into the Communications team on external campaigns that the charity develops to build awareness and showcase Centre 33’s amazing work, including an upcoming capital appeal. You will also work closely with the Operations and Finance teams to understand the charity’s services and funding needs, and to ensure timely sharing of programme information to facilitate funding applications and reporting to existing grant holders. You will support the Development & Partnerships Lead and other team members with Trust and Foundation applications and other fundraising activities as required.
You will be confident establishing new and growing existing meaningful relationships and will maintain clear records of progress in our CRM (Donorfy). Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will prepare high-quality communications, proposals and pitches which demonstrate our deep understanding of young people’s needs and help us to successfully meet our fundraising goals.
