The Content Manager will be responsible for managing the Content Team within the Marketing & Communications Department, overseeing delivery of the content framework, using evaluation and measurement to enable strategic and creative development so Battersea’s content output achieves brand, marketing and organisational objectives.

Overall objectives of this role:
• Oversee strategic delivery against the content framework, supporting the team in effective implementation and measurement
• Lead the team in developing and delivering best in class creative storytelling content that is strategically aligned, maximised, and continually evaluated.
• Work with stakeholders across the organisation to effectively prioritise and shape briefs coming into the team.
• Work collaboratively across the Marketing & Communications department and other departments and support the team in doing the same including via supporting working structures and tools.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled Training Development Manager to join our small, friendly and hard-working team.

We are Laurelle Brown Training and Consultancy (LBTC), an independent consultancy founded in 2017, as a response to the persistent challenges and discrimination faced by racialised children across the services and support systems they rely on. We collaborate with partners to strengthen equity, diversity and inclusion across complex systems for children.

We are a dynamic and busy consultancy, with 5 staff members, and a pool of associate consultants and trainers that support the delivery of our work. We do: (1) Learning and development, (2) Facilitation, (3) Change and transformation, and (4) Evidence and insight. You will develop our Associate Strategy, in addition to effective, collaborative and innovative operational practices, in alignment with our methodology.

You will have successfully developed, implemented, and evaluated short and long-term training programmes in the children and young people sector; clearing obstacles to delivery; engaging diverse audiences, including senior leaders; co-facilitating; designing for impact and detail; managing trainers; and reflecting and applying learning for continuous improvement.

This is an exciting, remote working opportunity, to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

To help us with this important mission, we currently have a vacancy for a Head of Finance who will be able to use their professional experience and accountancy qualification to help us transform lives and strengthen communities through grassroots football.

The role

As our Head of Finance, reporting into the CFO, you’ll lead the finance team, ensuring robust financial management and sustainability to support our charitable objectives. You will direct the day-to-day operations of the finance team, actively manage financial planning and forecasting, and develop high level models to support strategic and operational decision making. You will also input into strategy on a functional and organisational level. 

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to follow football or understand about football and sports facilities to apply, but it is expected that you appreciate the power of sport to change lives and have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

Here’s some of the experience and expertise you’ll need for the role:

· A professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified financial and operational management experience.

· Prior experience in a senior level finance role with responsibility across the entire finance function, including hands on experience in delivering business partnering.

· Significant experience of financial planning and analysis.

· Commercial or charity accounting experience, including the preparation of statutory accounts, and preferably SORP compliance.

· Experience leading an end-to-end external audit process.

· Familiarity developing, improving and implementing financial procedures and controls.

You’ll also have good knowledge of the legislative, tax and regulatory framework of companies, ideally in the not-for-profit sector. Most of all we want someone who reflects who we are as an organisation.

Purpose

We are seeking an organisation and/or two individuals to deliver clinical supervision to Redthread youth workers and managers (in separate clinical groups) who are based in London and Birmingham in the context of trauma-informed practice so that they can undertake their roles safely and effectively.

About Redthread

Redthread is a multi award-winning charity with over 20 years experience of delivering pioneering youth work in hospitals and other health settings. We work across hospitals in London and Birmingham with 11-25 year olds who are affected by grooming, sexual and criminal exploitation, violence, emotional and physical harm, mental health issues, domestic violence and modern slavery. We also support children and young people in the online space to reduce the impacts of violence, and with those experiencing a range of health conditions, who are vulnerable and in need.

Our model is pioneering, and we train NHS staff so they are able to identify and better support children and young people affected by violence in health settings. We amplify the voices of children and young people and use our evidence and insights from working with them to adapt and innovate our work, support service improvement, and influence regional and national government.

About our team

We are a diverse organisation and it is critical that our staff have access to the right clinical supervisor to feel safe, reflect on their practice, and manage any work-related vicarious trauma.

1 Our team includes Youth Workers and Senior Youth Workers (20), Young Women’s Workers (3), Team Leaders (7), Managers and a VAWG Lead (5), and our Head Office staff. You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to our hospital based staff and managers and may need to (on an ad hoc basis) support Head Office staff as and when required/upon request.

The Redthread model of Clinical Supervision

● Redthread acknowledges that its practitioners regularly encounter exposure to trauma/distress in their work with young people which has the potential for an increased risk of them experiencing compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.

● The Redthread model of supervision acknowledges the emotional impact of our work on our practitioners/managers and provides time and tools to process feelings, build resilience, and practice self-care.

● Redthread supervision is trauma-informed and acts as reflective practice.

● Redthread provides fortnightly face-to-face group supervision and, upon request, 121 clinical supervision (either face to face or online) that takes place in a safe and consistent location and that enables a pause in practice.

● Clinical supervision is non-managerial support and is not case management.

Deliverables

● Create a safe space where open and transparent conversations can take place.

● Bring a supportive challenge to practitioners to enable them to think differently about their work and consider alternative perspectives.

● Be empathetic and consistent.

● Facilitate growth in practitioners and development of their practice.

● To provide 121 clinical supervision to staff (upon request).

● To provide fortnightly group clinical supervision to staff for up to 90 mins.

● Bi-monthly workshops on trending topics/themes.

● To critically review if Redthread is embedding a Trauma Informed response within the organisation.

● Ad-hoc debrief and support to teams between supervision.

● Provide an immediate report of any significant wellbeing or safeguarding concerns for team members or young people to Redthread.

● Hold a bi-monthly catch up meeting with the Director to ensure lines of communication are open and dialogue is constant.

● Provide reasonable notice of any occasions when they will not be available on their regular day due to annual leave, other commitments, excluding emergencies.

● Report any concerns regarding Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Data Protection and Equal Opportunities to the Director.

● Maintain registration and accreditation with the appropriate professional regulator (British Psychological Society, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

This is a small team, so leaders need to enjoy covering a wide range of duties, from the strategic to hands-on. The role will involve close collaboration with the CEO.

To succeed in the role, you will need to have: 

The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who has successfully led a team and can build relationships at all levels. You will have strong experience in charity financial management, significant operational experience ideally within the charity sector, including HR and people, improving policies and systems, and charity governance. You will be a highly motivated and driven self-starter, able to adapt quickly when priorities change. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of leading internal organisation communications and creating high level reports and presentations. You will also have experience of implementing equality and human rights standards, for example the social work model of disability and anti-racist practices, throughout all areas of work. The ideal candidate may understand key concepts of structural inequality, combined with insight into your own experiences of advantage and disadvantage, and sensitivity and empathy to the rights and needs of colleagues.

The Role

We are seeking a driven, talented, energetic and creative individual for the role of Director of Development. This is a one-year maternity cover post.

In this role, you will work closely with and report to the Principal and Chief Executive and will be responsible for implementing and delivering a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategy for LAMDA.

You will lead and deliver major gift campaigns, including the biennial Gala, to ensure the sustainability and success of LAMDA as the world’s leading centre for drama training. To be successful, you will be confident and proactive, a verbal and written communicator and a skilled networker with a very strong track record of relationship building. In this role, you will work 35 hours per week (9.30 am – 5.30 pm), Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work outside these hours to attend events and productions in accordance with business needs.
