Context
Kingston Street Pastors is a churches initiative which has been operating since 2006 deploying Christian volunteers in the town centre in the night time to Care, Listen and Help. We enjoy excellent relationships with key stakeholders in Kingston’s night time economy including our local council, police and businesses. Within the wider Street Pastors movement we have made significant contributions over the years to develop policy and practice and have worked closely with neighbouring Street Pastors initiatives and with the Ascension Trust. For governance purposes Kingston Street Pastors operates as an affiliated project of Oxygen, a Kingston based youth work charity.
Our key strategic priorities are to maintain and build on the positive relationships we have with our local council, the police and businesses in the night time economy, taking advantage of opportunities for collaboration, accessing funding and other forms of support. Forest House Education Centre (FHEC) is a hospital school for 13-17-year-old pupils, attached to the Forest House Adolescent Unit, a Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient facility on the Kingsley Green hospital site. The Centre provides education for the patients occupying the Adolescent Unit's sixteen beds, while additionally being the sole educator for eight 'day pupils' who are referred by Hertfordshire County Council through ESMA (the LA's tutorial service for pupils who are out of mainstream education for medical reasons).
The Service Manager at Forest House Education Centre will work closely with Trust leaders to effectively manage the day to day provision of the service.

The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising. The Director of Operations is a pivotal senior leadership role at Sister System, responsible for strengthening the people, culture, systems and organisational foundations that enable our mission to thrive. We are looking for an enthusiastic safeguarding professional to join our Diocesan Safeguarding Team as a Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser - Casework & Training. Reporting directly to the Head of Safeguarding / Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, you will play a key role in our commitment to creating a safer church for all by both effectively advising on, and managing, safeguarding concerns, conducting risk assessments & implementing safety plans, and developing, coordinating and delivering safeguarding training that assists in ensuring our churches are a safer place for all.
The role involves working closely with clergy, church leaders, victims & survivors, statutory agencies, and other safeguarding professionals to promote best practices in the safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults across the diocese (including Carlisle Cathedral). You will be part of a small professional team who work collaboratively together to ensure that church life is safer for all. You will be supported in translating your skills and experience into the framework and practices of the Diocese.
To be successful, you will be a highly organised individual with excellent people skills and will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, discretion and sensitivity. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to coach and mentor people from a range of backgrounds. You will bring professional knowledge of safeguarding legislation and regulations from your previous / current role(s) and, have direct experience of casework management in this, or a related field. You will have experience of delivering training, preferably of a safeguarding nature. You will be able to work with complex information and solve problems and, provide clear practical advice in a timely manner. You will have sympathy towards the ethos and values of the Christian faith and be able to work effectively within a Church of England setting
Salary £45,048 FTE plus 15% non-contributory pension. This post is being offered at 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE) with flexible working.
