StreetLink London is a bespoke assessment and response telephone service for people who are rough sleeping in London, supported by volunteers. Building on St Mungo’s extensive experience of supporting people sleeping rough through a range of face-to-face services, this innovative service aims to reduce the incidences of subsequent rough sleeping amongst people who have not slept rough before and increase the speed with which those who have a history of rough sleeping can access support and accommodation.
As an Assessment and Response Worker you will:

Answer phone calls from people experiencing homelessness in London and deliver a high quality of customer service

Triage online referrals from the website and the app, to connect people who are rough sleeping with local outreach teams as quickly as possible.

Carry out comprehensive telephone assessments, identifying immediate options for accommodation and support while confidently responding to emergency situations and safeguarding concerns.

Advocate on behalf of people with relevant statutory and non-statutory services to ensure clients can access the support and accommodation they are entitled to as quickly as possible.

Train, motivate and support volunteers so they can provide a high quality, responsive service to everyone contacting StreetLink London.

Rowan Alba works to end homelessness in Edinburgh by providing permanent supported homes and building relationships with individuals in crisis. Galop, the UK’s LGBT+ anti-abuse charity, is seeking a Survivor Engagement Manager. Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence every year. We specialise in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, and other forms of abuse including honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and so-called conversion therapies. We are a service run by LGBT+ people, for LGBT+ people, and the needs of our community are at the centre of what we do. We are looking to recruit a Survivor Engagement Manager. This new role will lead the development of Galop’s approach to survivor engagement, ensuring that LGBT+ survivors are at the centre of all of our work. This role combines the need for a strategic outlook, alongside practical frontline skills in working with those who have experienced trauma. You will be experienced in managing complex projects that centre survivors and juggling competing priorities. In this role you will be working alongside volunteer advisers, and be responsible for providing generalist advice to clients, including advice about financial confidence, welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment, immigration, discrimination and other areas of public and social welfare law.
You will work alongside our existing projects and services, which are already seeing a large number of clients affected by cost-of-living issues.
The role will focus on responding to clients by email and giving advice over the telephone. There will also be some face to face interaction with clients when needed. It will be helpful to have experience of supporting new trainees.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE
The Senior Support Services Manager is responsible for leading and developing the charity’s support services for people affected when someone goes missing. You will lead the emotional and practical support provision to families, friends, colleagues and companies impacted by a disappearance. You will play a key role in ensuring that families contribute to and are ‘in the lead’ in influencing the charity’s work and in representing the needs of families across the organisation.

ABOUT YOU
You will need to have experience of:
• Managing frontline services delivering emotional and practical support, advocacy, advice, help or support to vulnerable people or families in person, by phone or digitally
• Managing and developing staff and volunteers
• Implementing safeguarding procedures, assessing risk, developing needs assessments and handling complex and sensitive situations
• Facilitating service user peer support, co-production and engagement;
• Planning and running events or groups for service users
• and possess the following skills:
• Ability to support people experiencing trauma
• Practical knowledge of and proven ability to reach vulnerable and underserved groups to develop services which meet their needs;
