About the role:

At Single Homeless Project (SHP), we believe in the power of learning to transform not only careers, but lives. As part of our blended learning approach, e-learning plays a key role in developing and empowering our staff to deliver the best possible support to people experiencing homelessness across London. This fixed-term role for 4–6 months, providing maternity cover with the potential for extension, offers a unique opportunity to shape the learning experiences of SHP staff by enhancing and expanding our e-learning offer. Based within our Learning and Development team, you’ll be surrounded by passionate and collaborative colleagues who are committed to delivering high quality training to staff, locums and volunteers across a wide range of topics.

In this role, you’ll be central to the creation and improvement of interactive, engaging e-learning content using Adapt authoring software. You’ll refine existing modules, build new ones from the ground up, and ensure learning materials are accessible, relevant and impactful. With a particular focus on tailored health and safety training and other priority subjects, you’ll work closely with subject matter experts across SHP to bring ideas to life. Whether you’re tweaking functionality, refining content or developing entirely new modules, your work will enable staff to grow in confidence and skill - helping them provide more effective, compassionate support to our clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, good IT and organisational skills, and a flair for creating learning content or presentations. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, take initiative and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation. 

About you:

• Highly IT literate to at least intermediate level, including a great working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, with excellent presentation skills.
• Competent in using the Adapt authoring tool, preferably within Learning Pool software, or ability to learn new design package and systems with ease.
• Understanding of learning or training design, with experience in e-learning content creation, or training delivery.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to co-ordinate multiple systems/processes and manage time effectively, prioritising different areas of work according to need.
• Ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships both internally and externally and to work collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders across the organisation.

About this key role

As our Senior Caseworker, you will work with participants to agree and regularly review an action plan and help them to carry out actions on their plan via delivering one-to-one and group motivational advice and guidance.  We will count on you to provide effective leadership, support and guidance to a team of Peer Advisors in the delivery of flexible services to individuals with complex needs to improve their employability skills and help them move into sustainable employment.

What we are looking for

• The ability to assess the needs of vulnerable clients and provide client-led support to address these needs in a variety of ways

• Thorough understanding of the principles of needs and risk assessment, and care co-ordination/planning, and the ability to coach others in these skills

• Proven record of supervising and supporting a team of volunteers to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable people

• The ability to use monitoring systems to record all aspects of project activity

The role 

Sustrans is the UK’s leading active travel organisation, working to make it possible for people across society to walk, wheel and cycle.  We have a new strategy for the next five years, a key strand of which is to unlock active travel in new housing developments, and we are recruiting a Head of New Developments to lead this work.

This is a new position in which you will draw on your experience in the housing delivery sector to grow Sustrans’ contribution to the creation of new communities that have active mobility at their heart.  As well as leading our influencing work aimed at organisations in housing delivery, you will develop and promote an offer to partners, drawing on Sustrans’ existing infrastructure, behaviour change and advisory services.  You will connect with, inform and inspire professionals and decision makers involved in delivering new homes to adopt the actions required to increase active travel in their developments.  Through collaboration with our Commercial team and subject experts across Sustrans, you will develop a pipeline of funded work from public, private and third sector organisations, ultimately enabling more households to walk, wheel or cycle for their day-to-day journeys.

The role can be based in any Sustrans office and will involve frequent in-person meetings and site visits, particularly (but not exclusively) in the Midlands and South of England. 

About you 

You’ll have significant experience contributing to the delivery of new developments through work for or with organisations such as developers, housing providers, consultancies, local authorities or government.  We’re looking for applicants with a professional network in housing delivery, and significant experience securing new commissions from and/or influencing organisations involved in delivering new developments.  You’ll have a strong understanding of the development process, including the spatial planning system, and of the roles of the parties involved in delivering new developments, the power dynamics between them, and the opportunities and appetite each has for taking action to increase active travel.  Naturally, you’ll have deep knowledge of the challenges, opportunities and hot topics in housing delivery – for new towns, urban extensions and urban intensification schemes.

The Senior Manager, HIV Services Coordination and Team Lead plays a key leadership role in supporting and enabling METRO’s HIV service managers and project leads to deliver high-quality, inclusive, and impactful services. Reporting to the Head of HIV or Director of Services, the post-holder provides day-to-day oversight of contracts, projects, and workstreams, offering hands-on supervision and management support across the HIV domain.

For a charity in central London, we're recruiting an interim Finance Business Partner to join a high-performing finance business partnering team. This role will manage the delivery of robust financial information to stakeholders. The Finance Business Partner will add value to the financial information provided by budget holders via technical analysis and data visualisation. • Researching, identifying and applying to relevant trusts and foundations

About the role

Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.

You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North East England or Yorkshire region, which includes North, South, East and West Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. There will be occasional travel around these areas, and you may be required to travel at short notice for face-to-face meetings.

About the team

The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in the Northeast and Yorkshire, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a team 8, which includes a Regional Casework Manager and a Regional Manager for Casework and Community Engagement.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as housing, benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the Northeast and Yorkshire would be valuable.

About the role

As Guidance Programme Manager, you will lead the Guidance team delivering quality assurance and innovation of our clinical guidance and patient information resources. You’ll work closely with the Director of Clinical Quality and Senior Guidance Editorial Manager, and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including clinicians, patients, partner organisations and specialist societies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Guidance team
• Managing key relationships with partner organisations such as NICE, RCM, and our specialist societies
• Leading the continuous improvement of RCOG guidance and patient information
• Ensuring robust governance, quality assurance and compliance with information governance and SOPs
• Supporting innovation in guidance production, recognising the fast pace of technological change in this space
• Championing patient and public involvement throughout our work

About you

This position is well-suited to an experienced and inspiring Programme Manager to lead our Guidance and Patient Information team, a pivotal part of our mission to improve care for women, girls, and babies around the world.

Requirements:

• Experienced team leader
• Experienced in managing complex programmes or portfolios in a healthcare, academic, or charity setting
• Skilled in stakeholder management, especially in multidisciplinary or clinical environments
• Able to demonstrate a commitment to co-production and inclusive engagement
• A confident communicator, capable of presenting to a range of audiences and influencing at all levels
• A team player and leader, passionate about improving standards and making an impact

A qualification in programme or project management (e.g. PRINCE2) or equivalent experience is essential. Experience working with or developing clinical guidance and familiarity with women’s health are desirable.
