Our Fundraising and Communications Team plays a crucial role in telling the story of our work and its impact, building our profile, our media presence, our brand and managing our reputation; we are currently looking for a Press and PR Lead to join the team, where you will have the opportunity to influence the media to help us grow our reach and work towards achieving our vision that everyone should have a place to call home and be able to fulfil their hopes and ambitions.
The Press and PR Lead will play a key role in the team, setting and delivering our press and PR goals, working with colleagues from across the organisation to ensure our media mentions and messages are consistent with our vision, values and priorities, while constantly monitoring and evaluating to ensure our success is based on learning. The post-holder will provide leadership and line management to a small team, oversee a budget and coordinate with other teams across our communications, fundraising, campaigning and operational activity.
About you
The successful candidate will have a track record of developing and implementing successful Press and PR strategies, be experienced in handling and influencing the media agenda and adept at identifying story opportunities.
- You will be able to demonstrate your ability to maximise coverage through reactive opportunities, be on top of the news cycle, and have experience of reputational management and crisis communications.
- To excel in this busy role, you will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines and stakeholder needs in a sometimes pressurised environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as you will be required to work collaboratively with; and influence people at all levels of the organisation, as well as giving clear, evidence-based advice to managers, Directors and the Executive team.
In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.

Back Up’s mentoring service is there to help. We know that peer support can have a life changing impact and our Mentoring Coordinators are the ones who can facilitate this through matching them with a suitable mentor who will be able to support them over a series of phone calls to reach their goals.
In addition to creating mentoring relationships, as a Mentoring Coordinator you will support mentors and mentees as appropriate, assess mentee suitability and provide support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new mentors.
Mentoring Coordinators will be motivated to achieve the aims, targets and milestones that have been set in terms of making quality matches and will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

You might find it difficult to express and share how you have been affected by these events, especially to your loved one with the injury. Overwhelming feelings of guilt, helplessness, confusion and isolation are very common.
Back Up’s Family Support team are there to help. Right from the point of injury, our Family Support Coordinators work together with the family and the injured person to create their own ‘Family Plan’ - making sure they have access to information and support throughout the rehabilitation journey.

About You:
To be successful as the Young Women’s Keyworker you will:
Bring an in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the Criminal Justice System. Have a strong understanding of the context and challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic violence, mental health, and sexual health.
Bring a significant experience of working with young women experiencing issues related to offending and experience of community engagement, advocacy and support work with young people and have proven practical experience of using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques with young women and girls, using a woman-centred approach to build trust and rapport. You will demonstrate the ability to work in partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, developing and maintaining strong constructive working relationships.

Building relationships with other statutory and non-statutory agencies in local communities is vital to build referral pathways and provide a whole system approach to supporting individuals.
To carry out this work you will meet women in the community in your designated borough and co-locate with other agencies including the National Probation Service, as well as regularly attending Advance’s North London vibrant Women’s Centre/office space.
You will be a creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder and has good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the North London area.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will manage all day-to-day financial controls and processing and will lead on the year-end audit and statutory reporting process. Whilst providing expert advice on VAT and other taxes, the Financial Controller will also take a lead on strengthening financial controls and systems and will lead and develop a Finance team of 3 staff.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead all day-to-day financial controls and processing for HQ and lead the financial support to stakeholders.
- Lead on annual external Audit across the Group (Charity and Trading Subsidiary) and prepare statutory financial statements - being the main point of contact with the Auditors
- Lead strategic oversight of the cash flow and investments
- Provide first-class advice on all tax matters. Prepare VAT and Corporation Tax returns, maximise Gift Aid, and support HR with payroll taxes
- Manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of 3 staff (Financial Operations Lead, Finance Officer and Finance Assistant)
- Partner with the Systems Accountant in the identification and implementation of systems changes and developments
What you'll offer us:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with solid experience of managing year-end and annual audit processes

- Experience leading the annual audit process, liaising with external Audit.
- Experience of cash-flow forecasting and treasury management
- Charity accounting, VAT and Tax experience would be beneficial
- Experience of developing and implementing robust financial processes and systems

Advocate is a national charity which matches volunteer barristers eager to undertake pro bono work with those who need legal assistance but cannot obtain public funding (legal aid) and cannot afford to pay for it.
We are looking for two caseworkers, a triage caseworker and a general caseworker. The triage caseworker's role is to deal with all new applications and to make early and rapid assessments of the presenting problem, efficiently and effectively identifying issues and ensuring that applicants can progress through our system. The general caseworker will oversee a caseload covering all areas of law, liaising with both applicants and barristers to try and find legal assistance from our panel of volunteers.
Both roles are full-time, permanent positions. You are expected to work 35 hours per week (excluding lunch break) Monday – Friday. We operate a hybrid working policy which currently means a minimum of 2 days attendance in our office based in St Paul's, although we hope the successful triage candidate will be able to attend the office 3 days a week to deal with posted applications and other legal documents.

We have an established and growing focus on using carbon markets to help us, and our partners, deliver restoration and conservation at scale in the UK.
To drive our carbon programmes forward, we are seeking to recruit an experienced individual who can work right across the organisation and with partners to secure new nature-based partnerships. You will play a vital role in raising awareness of the crisis that nature is facing and to make a significant impact in restoring habitats, saving species from extinction, and providing opportunities for people of all ages to connect more closely to nature - protecting it for the future.
About the Role
This role will support the development and delivery of the RSPB’s UK carbon partnerships and reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Partnerships. You will provide critical expertise and capacity needed to engage with business, driving significant income growth and reaching challenging targets.
You will work closely with Senior Programme Manager – Carbon Finance as well as with colleagues across Conversation Investment, Business Conservation Advice, and the wider Business Engagement function to secure high-value corporate partnerships which will have a significant impact in the fight against the dual nature and climate crisis.
You will play a leading role in the development and delivery of the overall sales strategy for business engagement and the conservation investment pipeline projects and to secure partnerships and blended finance models with a particular focus on carbon markets in the UK. This role will also be pivotal in acting as a conduit between the Business Engagement team and technical expertise in the Conservation Investment team and across the charity.
What we need from you
The post-holder will be someone who thrives in relationship management and successfully securing new partnerships.
The successful candidate will have significant B2B new business experience and a proven track record of securing complex corporate partnerships with strategic communications packages and financial values of £1m+.
Flexible location with regular travel across the UK to visit partners and attend events alongside scheduled working at the HQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire with team members - currently monthly.
Essentials:
- Experience in negotiating and securing high-value, multi-dimensional partnerships in the private or third sector.
- Able to take a leading role in the partnership development strategy, generating ideas, bringing external insight, and delivering on agreed areas of work.
- Experience in developing and implementing ambitious sector strategies and producing tailored new partnership propositions that meet corporate and RSPB objectives.
- Able to proactively generate leads, build networks, and influence others, both internally and externally to secure multi-dimensional £1m+ value partnerships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective proposal writing and correspondence to internal and external audiences.
- Logical, methodical and analytical, with good attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
Desirables:
- Exprience of utilising CRM systems
- Knowledge of natural capital markets specifically the voluntary carbon markets
