Individual Giving Manager – Development

We're recruiting for an Individual Giving Manager to join our team, and take the lead on our warm programme, bringing in around £1.2 million donated income per year. This role offers a mixture of campaign and project management, innovation and creative thinking. You'll be able to analyse results and apply insights to optimise and improve campaigns.

As a Individual Giving Manager you will

• Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery. 

• Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's. 

• Manage income and expenditure budgets. 

• Line manage up to 3 direct reports. 

 You will have experience of :

• Working in a fundraising environment, specifically in direct marketing and across different channels.
• Delivering campaigns using a project management approach.

This role will manage the delivery of services for people with primary breast cancer. You will be responsible for implementing business plans, maximising access and take-up of services, and ensuring high quality delivery. You will manage the work of a team of Breast Cancer Now staff and contracted facilitators based across the UK. Current services include Moving Forward in-person and online services, and our Speakers Live service.

You’ll be experienced in managing people (including dispersed staff), you’ll have the confidence and skills to lead and drive forward growth. We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering the South East of England, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Essex.

Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

We are seeking a qualified Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services.

About the Role

The Diocese is seeking to appoint a new independent Chair to this important group, which oversees safeguarding policy, procedures, and practice across the Diocese. The Role

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We’re entering the first year of a 3-year fundraising growth strategy with a strategic focus on these areas. As our Legacy + In Memory Manager you’ll be stepping into a new role and can shape and grow two of our most important income streams in the Supporter Giving + Legacies portfolio.  

This role is perfect for a creative, data driven fundraiser who can lead the development and delivery of acquisition and retention programmes and collaborate across the organisation to embed legacy and in-memory giving into everything we do, from supporter touchpoints to wider organisational culture.

About the role

This is a great chance to be a part of a service working alongside the Healthcare & Education Department within HMP Bronzefield to identify and support women who are identified as being neurodiverse or presenting with symptoms of neurodiversity and will be returning to the community. The Neurodiversity Lead will focus support on women with a neurodivergent need and improve their transition into the community, with ongoing community support; including collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop their support plans.

The Lead will work in a multi-disciplinary way, including attending the weekly complex case meeting and/or the Safety Intervention Meeting (SIM) as appropriate, they will act as a specialist member of the wider Advance Criminal Justice Service - London team, to facilitate a pathway for women with complex needs including mental health and neurodiversity needs. The Neurodiversity Lead will accept referrals from the Advance Criminal Justice Community team and prison services, and will create a link between prison and the community, helping women to navigate support services and to positively re-integrate into their community upon release. They will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling to support them to address their needs and any risks. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women.

The Neurodiversity Lead will be based in the community and will provide a drop-in service (1-2 day per week) in HMP Bronzefield to support women who are close to release.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You

To be successful as the Neurodiversity Lead you will need the below experience and skills:

An excellent understanding of mental health, neurodiversity needs violence against women and girls and its links to women in the criminal justice system

You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

You will initiate, develop, and manage communication channels, create compelling content, provide expert advice, and continually improve the service to ensure effective engagement with a wide range of media and external audiences. The role will be central to crafting and delivering key messages that grow and protect the external reputation of the college.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to develop engaging news and announcements for external communications channels and media.
• Support the delivery of stories, news, and journalistic content that enhances visibility and engagement with external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with students, staff, employers, and departments to create powerful content showcasing the college community.
• Support crisis communications for external audiences.
• Devise and deliver external communications plans and campaigns and generating a strong pipeline of positive stories and content
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and key media across print, broadcast, digital, and new platforms.
• Lead in the development of the colleges’ press office and manage press interviews, enquiries, and briefings.
• Contribute to public affairs activity, including preparing briefings and background summaries for senior leaders.
• Provide additional communications and administrative support across the team as required.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience in external communications, media relations, PR or journalism.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
• Confident in handling press enquiries and managing external relationships.
• Experience in developing and delivering communications strategies and campaigns.
• Ability to work under pressure, including supporting crisis communications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, equality of opportunity, and best practice in communications within the education or public sector (desirable).
