The Role 

As Senior Database Officer, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our CRM system, Raiser’s Edge NXT, ensuring high standards of data quality, compliance and reporting. 

You’ll act as a key internal contact for data-related processes, supporting colleagues across the organisation, while contributing to continuous improvement projects that strengthen how we use data to grow income and impact. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage, maintain and optimise Raiser’s Edge NXT to ensure accurate and up-to-date data 

• Process all incoming donations, ensuring correct coding and data integrity 

• Maintain high standards of data quality, GDPR compliance and robust data controls 

• Manage data-related enquiries and provide timely support to internal teams 

• Process regular Gift Aid claims 

• Complete monthly reconciliation with finance systems 

• Lead data cleansing and housekeeping projects (including consent and Gift Aid reviews) 

• Improve processes to increase efficiency, automation and accuracy 

• Train and support colleagues in effective CRM use 

• Deliver regular and ad hoc reports, analysis and data selections to support fundraising and marketing

• CRM income reconciles accurately with finance systems

• CRM processes are fully compliant with GDPR and best practice

About You 

Essential Experience & Skills 

• Proven experience managing a CRM system in a Database Officer (or similar) role 

• Experience acting as a system administrator (managing users, access and settings) 

• Strong understanding of GDPR and supporter data best practice 

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues 

• Experience training and supporting colleagues with varying technical confidence 

• Excellent attention to detail 

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines 

• A proactive, solution-focused approach to improving systems and processes 

Desirable 

• Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT 

• Experience producing data selections 

• Experience writing SQL queries 

• Experience creating dashboards or reports using Power BI (or similar)

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Development Research Officer to join our Development Team, providing key support within a small fundraising team of 9. It’s a particularly exciting time to join, as we are embarking on an ambitious 125th Anniversary Campaign in 2027.

This role is crucial in enabling the Academy to achieve its ambitious fundraising targets for our next campaign. The Development Research Officer will identify potential new funders who have the capacity and affinity to support the British Academy, as well as managing qualified prospects as they move through the prospect pipeline. You will also provide key intelligence on prospects and donors for meeting briefings and events, as well as due diligence research on potential donors to the Academy.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic insights on prospects and donors for the variety of audiences that we work with. You will enjoy gathering and analysing information from a variety of sources, make connections between people and organisations, and be creative in how to present information and data. Alongside the research role, you will also provide administrative support for the internal and external activities of the Development Team.

You will ideally have some experience of research in a fundraising environment, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to work independently and look proactively for opportunities as well as working responsively to requests and deadlines. You will be confident using the Microsoft Office 365 suite and have experience using Salesforce or another CRM to manage your workflows.

About the Service and the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the Operational Services Manager (Blended Teams) to manage the daily operations of our Blended Teams functions.

This includes managing a core team of workers in a diverse range of projects and services often in partnership with the NHS and other VCSE and community groups. The role will involve multi-agency working and ensuring the continuous development of our services to ensure that they meet the needs of the community and blended team outcomes.

Ideally, you will be required to have knowledge of managing remote teams who may be imbedded in NHS services and the ideal candidate would have the skills to support staff with the complex challenges that come with blended working as well as maintaining and building relationships with key stakeholders. You will also be required to hold your own caseload, supporting the teams with more complex service users and cover gaps in services.

Key Responsibilities and Service Delivery

• Operate a service and ensure outcomes which support individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs in line with Mind BLMK’s and blended team model and contract requirements.
• Work with the Operational Services Manager (Blended Teams) and senior managers to ensure the management of an effective workforce including recruitment and performance management challenges
• Ensure that services with complex partnerships and remote teams are effectively managed and maintained, through effective relationship building and multi-agency working.
• Ensure regular involvement of service users, volunteer and staff on local service delivery, organisational matters and wider mental health strategies.
• Assess suitability for community connection support as part of a blended team approach and support individuals to access the service by utilising in depth knowledge of local voluntary and community services and networks.
• To work with individuals to coproduce a plan to address their mental health and wellbeing goals. Enable people to achieve these goals through facilitating access and connecting with appropriate resources.
• Enable people to access community resources which may include accompanying them.
• Offer support, guidance and help where possible to people to gain confidence, overcome initial fears and seek solutions to any barriers inhibiting attendance.
• Take a holistic approach, based on the individuals’ priorities and wider determinants of health that impact on their health and wellbeing, such as debt, poor housing, being unemployed, loneliness and caring responsibilities.
• To work as part of an integrated team to ensure the best outcomes for each person accessing the service.

About the role:

The Domestic Abuse Caseworker will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. You will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 16. You will work across the three boroughs under the guidance of the Angelou Manager, and hold a caseload of survivors as well as working as part of Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support. You will hold a caseload of clients who are medium risk, advise on criminal justice and civil remedies, and coordinating the provision of multi-agency support.

About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Caseworker you will need the below experience and skills.

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, rehabilitation, and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind the prison walls and in the community by creating an environment where our students are supported to gain the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to rebuild their lives.

Since that time, we have trained approximately 5,000 people in prison and delivered 2,600 City & Guilds qualifications in a variety of hospitality and food courses.

The charity operates an award-winning fine-dining restaurant open to the public inside HMP Brixton, training kitchens in the prison estate, horticulture projects at HMP Send and HMP Erlestoke, a commercial bakery in Brixton, and a bespoke delivery service, Catered by Clink.

Additionally, Clink Events is our social enterprise catering business with food produced by the women in HMP Downview and also in an additional kitchen at Herne Hill and then served by alumni on front of house at some of the best venues in London including: the Guildhall, the Science Museum, Cutty Sark, Kew Gardens and the Camden Roundhouse. In 2024, across 218 events, The Clink fed 36,000 people.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Clink Training Café, located in Herne Hill, is a real-life professional kitchen and café that provides young people with meaningful work experience over a 12-week programme. During this time, participants work towards five accredited City & Guilds qualifications while gaining hands-on hospitality and employability skills.

We work closely with the Youth Justice Service, as well as Children in Care and Care Leavers teams, to engage vulnerable and at-risk young people in the programme. Many of the young people we support are at risk of criminal exploitation and grooming, and we also work with neurodivergent young people who have additional learning needs.

At our café in Herne Hill, we have supported 100% of our students who have participated in the program to graduate into further education or employment.

The Youth Support Worker will provide a high quality and responsive support, mentoring and advocacy service which creatively addresses the needs and risks of our students and graduates, enabling them to avoid the risk of criminal exploitation upon completion of the program and to progress into the next step of their education or employment pathway.

You will be joining The Clink Charity at an exciting time as we plan to scale the success of our Café project by taking on a second site in Guildford to work with vulnerable NEET young people across Surrey. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to mobilise this project and to take a leading role in building referrals, establishing networks and establishing this new intervention.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Youth Support Worker, you are responsible for:

Individualised Support

• Act as a strong advocate for all students, representing their needs and interests.

As Estates Manager, you will be the driving force behind the quality, compliance and safety of Life’s estate. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management of our property portfolio, ensuring all sites are safe, secure and operating to required standards.

You will:

• Lead Health & Safety and Premises/Facilities Management across the charity
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and internal standards
• Oversee risk management, audits, inspections and safety monitoring
• Manage the Estates Coordinator and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Work with external partners to ensure checks are carried out (Gas, Fire Safety, Legionella, Asbestos, etc.)
• Manage property acquisition, disposal, leases, maintenance and contracts
• Develop and maintain estates policies and reporting systems
• Drive a positive, proactive health & safety culture across Life

You will be helping thousands of people to access QSA’s life-changing services; to find resonance and community in our communications; to support life-changing anti-poverty work; to get involved in campaigns that move the needle; and more.

This role will involve building relationships with an extremely broad range of people, with a very strong focus on the people who participate in our services. An ethical storytelling approach is at the heart of QSA’s communications. Putting this into practice will involve bringing stories forward in deep collaboration with storytellers; with empathy, integrity, authenticity, and a commitment to amplifying voices that can go unheard. We want people to feel in control of how their stories are shared, as much as we want people to be moved by content that engages and inspires.

The communications officer role also involves many of the ‘bread and butter’ tasks of an effective communications function: content production, analytics, social media management and so on. We are currently in the midst of a full-scale overhaul of the QSA website.

More important than coming with experience in every part of these duties, however, is a curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and take on healthy challenges (in which we aim to give you the support you need); as well as a flair for getting to the heart of the story – not only in the content itself, but also in understanding the bigger picture of our communications and our direction of travel together.

Purpose of role

To develop the communications output of QSA across all platforms, supporting delivery of the aims of QSA’s organisational and fundraising & communications strategies. To centre QSA’s communications work in an ethical storytelling approach.

Duties & responsibilities

1. To contribute to a plan and timetable for QSA’s communications work. 
2. To uphold clear protocols on how we gather and share stories and impact, to hold ourselves to the highest standards around ethics and wellbeing.
3. To work in the community and across all QSA’s services, to get to know the people who access them, sensitively inviting people to share their stories or consent to photos. 
4. To compile and share ethical and compelling storytelling content across a range of media. 
5. To co-manage all of QSA’s communications platforms including social media (including community management), email marketing and website. 
6. To generate and publish regular digital communications and fundraising content (including video, audio and copy), across our owned and shared platforms, and printed materials. 
7. To pull together content into regular email briefings for QSA’s supporters and donors. 
8. To provide communications support to the wider QSA team. 
9. To engage with other QSA teams about website content, being responsible for adding in this content, liaising with our web agency as required.
10. To follow a GEO-first approach to QSA’s web development, to promote growth in traffic and engagement. 
11. To actively drive growth and engagement across QSA’s social media, website and email marketing. 
12. To work within QSA brand guidelines to provide recognisable and reliable content, while also keeping content fresh and engaging.
13. To work with third party suppliers or freelancers as required, eg. for graphic design or other communications assets.
14. To undertake event marketing of QSA’s fundraising events. 
15. To track analytics to evaluate the impact of the content we produce and promote across all our platforms. 
16. To plan and create content for individual giving campaigns and digital fundraising. 
17. To maintain an up-to-date awareness of best and emerging practice in non-profit communications, and to share new ideas for growth. 
18. To work within, and actively promote, the policies and procedures of QSA.

Person specification

Experience 

1. Experience of working for or volunteering for a charity, especially if UK-based and community focussed, is highly desirable. 
2. Experience of communications work, in a paid or voluntary capacity, is highly desirable. 

Ability 

1. Excellent people-facing skills, able to confidently build rapport with people, and sensitively approach difficult topics.
2. Ability to build collaborative working relationships across a wide range of people, including team members, colleagues, and QSA donors.
3. Ability to confidently produce and share content online, such as stories, images, videos. 
4. Ability to produce engaging content for social media platforms, email marketing and web.
5. Ability to track and understand digital marketing analytics. 
6. Ability to be flexible and adapt and respond to new challenges/opportunities while maintaining attention to detail. 

Knowledge 

1. Knowledge of social media platforms and their different audiences, and how to tailor content appropriate to each.
2. Knowledge of poverty on families, households and communities in the UK and an understanding of/empathy for the impact of living on a low income.
