About the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF)
All of us will experience violence at some point in our lives. For many children, it is a daily reality. Each year, tens of children are killed, hundreds are hospitalised, 1 in 5 teenage children are victims and the majority admit to feeling afraid of violence. It scares them when they travel home from school, prevents them from going out and makes the most vulnerable feel like they don’t matter. It is taking lives, traumatising families and dividing communities. It robs potential, progress and hope.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
The Youth Endowment Fund believes that no child should be affected by violence. We research violence to understand it; we find, fund and test what works to prevent it; and we are building a movement to end it.
Communications at YEF
The Communications team, within the External Affairs and Youth Understanding directorate, is a critical arm of the organisation. We can only reduce violence if people hear about what works and put it into practice. Change is hard and it only happens if people trust where it comes from and want to engage with what we are communicating. We can only make change at scale if we’re smart about using digital tools to reach a growing, diverse audience across society.
We need professionals working across our sectors — youth-workers, police officers, social workers, policymakers, headteachers, and more — to find out about and be part of our movement. To do this, we must communicate with humility, authenticity and clarity.
We need politicians, commissioners and funders to follow our guidance and use our products. To do this, we must secure a seat at the table, communicate with intellectual rigour and persuade using the evidence.
We also need to connect with wider society, helping anyone who cares about making Britain safer for the next generation to understand what we do, what works and how they can support our cause. To do this, our brand must be accessible and inspiring, leveraging robust research alongside human storytelling.
As the Head of Digital Communications, you will be essential to achieving our mission. You will join the YEF at an exciting time. We are entering a crucial phase of increasing our policy influence at the top of government, changing things for the better across our sectors — education, youth justice, youth sector, children’s services, policing, health — and mobilising a movement to keep children and young people safe.
Your job is to make sure that the right people are drawn to our website and our digital communications, that they discover and engage with our content — from quoting our data, to using our Toolkit and evidence, to following practical recommendations in our guidance, to watching videos about the latest trends and conversations in violence prevention — and trust what we have to say.
You will support the Director of External Affairs and Youth Understanding to plan, build and execute a digital campaign to make all of this happen. You will help to lead the Communications team to hold the attention of our priority audiences and making them act.
Key Responsibilities
- The core of your job is to ensure that YEF's audience grows rapidly and strategically in size, that people working in our sectors gain awareness and confidence in our brand and that decision-makers engage with our work via our digital channels: our website, social media, newsletters, search, long- and short-form videos and the Safe podcast.
- You will further develop YEF’s existing digital marketing strategy into a national campaign across 2026-2029 for mobilising the evidence to prevent violence affecting children and young people.
- You will provide leadership to YEF generally and the Communications team specifically - managing the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing and Communications Officer – to develop internal collaboration for boosting organisation-wide digital activity, such as call-to-actions via social media and video content.
- You will execute a strategy for moving to a more segmented, sector-specific communication strategy that engages each audience (whether teachers, youth workers, police officers etc.) to use of YEF’s products whether our Toolkit, our Guidance on what works and self-assessment tools for each sector.
- To commission and develop compelling, eye-catching video content that authentically showcases case studies of our work, drives our audiences towards our channels and products and significantly boosts widespread engagement — views, likes, comments and shares — online.
- To help secure and convert high-profile digital communications opportunities for the team in representing YEF’s work, including podcast and video placements.
- To develop and leverage relevant agency relationships, and use data analytics, to optimise our SEO positioning for online searches related to youth violence, advise on investment in paid advertising to drive traffic to our website and products, and generally boost our digital engagement.

- A track record of producing video – such as case studies, explainers or podcasts - to increase positive regard, brand awareness and audience engagement on LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, YouTube, TikTok and X.
You may have the following, but they are not necessary:
- A qualification in digital marketing.
- Past experience of using Salesforce for marketing campaigns.
- Experience of working in or close to one or more of our priority sectors: education, youth justice, youth sector, children’s services, policing and health.
- Knowledge of using Artificial Intelligence to ethically and effectively boost digital performance at an organisation

Hybrid Working Details
The office is based in Central London, but you don’t have to be. Those living in London and within the 32 London Boroughs are expected to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week. If you live outside of London and work remotely, you’ll be expected to work from the London office 2 days per month. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop, articulate, and implement a shared digital transformation and technology strategy that is directly aligned with the overarching mission and strategic goals of the five dioceses.
- Act as the principal technology advisor to the Diocesan Secretaries and their senior leadership teams.
Process Mapping & Optimisation:
- Lead a comprehensive, collaborative review of key administrative and operational processes within the Diocesan Boards of Finance (DBFs) and in parishes where appropriate.
- Use process mapping techniques to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, and then design and implement optimised workflows.
AI & Responsible Innovation:
- Actively research, evaluate, pilot, and implement appropriate AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency, support fundraising, and improve service delivery.
- Ensure all innovation is undertaken responsibly, ethically, and with a clear focus on tangible benefits.
Stakeholder Management & Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across all five dioceses, including clergy, staff, and volunteers.

Project & Change Management:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of technology and process improvement projects, from initial conception and business case development through to delivery, user training, and final handover.

Qualifications, Training & Experience:
- Proven and extensive senior technology leadership experience (e.g., CTO, Head of IT, Director of Digital Transformation) with clear evidence of strategic impact.
- Relevant degree (or equivalent) in a technology-related discipline, with appropriate professional certifications in technology, architecture, project or change management, and membership of a relevant professional body.
- Strong track record in business process mapping, analysis and re-engineering delivering measurable efficiency gains.
- Practical experience evaluating, procuring and implementing modern technology solutions, including cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365), CRM systems and data analytics tools.
- Experience in the charity, non-profit or similarly complex, values-driven sector is highly desirable. Demonstrable experience of, or well-informed and practical interest in, the responsible and ethical application of AI and automation in an organisational context.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Ancient & Veteran Tree Officer to join our exciting Sherwood’s Living Legends project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. A development grant has been awarded by Heritage Fund to help the Woodland Trust progress the project over 18-months to apply for a 5-year delivery stage grant. If this application is successful, the project will safeguard the future of ancient and veteran trees in Sherwood Forest and reconnect communities with this iconic landscape. This is a fixed term contract for 18-months, with the potential for an extension.
This role does not come with a company vehicle, however after a 9-month period in-post, we will review vehicle business use to see if the post-holder is reaching the eligibility criteria as stated in our Company Vehicle Policy. If the post-holder complies with those criteria, with sign off from our Facilities Team, a vehicle will be sourced and provided. Please note that out Company Vehicle Policy is also under review as part of our Job Families and Contract Review project, so the eligibility criteria therein are subject to change in due course.

The Role:
- Lead the review and consolidation of existing datasets to inform a coherent, landscape-scale strategy for recording and mapping ancient and veteran trees (AVTs) across the Sherwood NCA.
- Develop and test robust survey methodologies for AVTs, next-generation trees and successional deadwood habitats at scale.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with project partners, landowners and stakeholders to support the development of the NLHF (National Lottery Heritage Fund) project.
- Plan and deliver meaningful landowner consultations, ensuring clear communication and high-quality engagement.
- Shape the project’s technical direction by identifying gaps in current knowledge, proposing innovative survey approaches, and helping define the evidence base for future landscape-scale interventions.
- Coordinate information flow across partners, ensuring insights, datasets and field findings are shared, aligned and feeding directly into project design.
- Generate interest and participation in AVT training and wider project initiatives, identifying opportunities for large-scale partnership working.
- Represent the project at meetings, forums and events, sharing best practice and linking activity with wider Woodland Trust and partner programmes.
The Candidate:
- Strong biological recording skills with proven experience surveying ancient and veteran trees and/or associated species.
- Proficient in GIS mapping and spatial analysis, with the ability to manage, interpret and consolidate complex datasets.
- Knowledge of AVT ecology, identification, and the threats facing these irreplaceable habitats.
- Experience advising landowners within woodland conservation, arboriculture or forestry, including familiarity with land management grants and agri-environment schemes.
- Skilled communicator, confident in written, verbal and public-facing settings, able to represent the organisation professionally.
- Excellent partnership-building abilities, with a track record of developing productive networks and collaborative relationships.
- Highly organised, able to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining attention to detail.
- Full driving licence and ability to travel widely, including to remote sites.

About the role
The Research and Evaluation Manager will work to position King’s College London as a sector leader on conducting institutional evaluation and research to understand how we can support students from underrepresented groups to access university and succeed at university. Our team aims to generate causal evidence, either through Randomised Controlled Trials or Quasi-experimental designs.

Working Pattern
· This is a full-time (35 hours per week) post, and you will be offered an indefinite contract. The role works with a hybrid working pattern. While some on-site presence will be required for team collaboration, events, and programme activities, there is potential for a substantial proportion of working hours to be undertaken remotely.
About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience
Essential criteria
· Relevant work experience and/or education: We think a wide range of different work and educational experiences could support you to be successful in this role. Relevant work experience might include work in any research or evaluation job. Relevant educational experiences might include higher education in a related discipline, professional qualifications or other training
· Ability to consider and select appropriate research designs and methodologies, using qualitative and quantitative methods including surveying, interviewing and running focus groups.
· Experience establishing causal inference in research when evaluating projects or interventions with experimental methods (e.g. quasi-experimental methods, randomised controlled trials).
· Experience in designing and running multiple social research and evaluation projects, managing competing demands and timescales and delivering to milestones.
· Confident in conducting data analysis including handling large data sets and statistical testing using relevant software (such as Power BI, R, Stata, or SPSS) and presenting findings in various formats.
· Confident and clear written and verbal communication, including report-writing, data visualisation and presentation skills.
· Ability to give a team clear direction and guide it to the successful completion of a task.
· Ability to identify and manage the objectives, performance, and development needs of others.
Desirable criteria
· Postgraduate degree or qualification in research methods, statistics, analytics or a related field and/or relevant experience.
· Experience using behavioural insights in a research or policy context to positively influence behaviour
· Understanding of the widening participation agenda and/or the role of higher education in social mobility

The role
The Domestic Abuse Prevention All Risk Perpetrator Worker will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators whose victims have been identified through all levels of risk.
The purpose of this role is to move the perpetrator along the spectrum of awareness; acceptance of impact; desire to change; to voluntary engagement in behavioural change to end the cycle of abuse for children who are victims of domestic abuse.
The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will work with people on: awareness raising and developing motivation to change with people who recognise they are at risk of or are harming their partner (low risk), individual case management and group behavioural change programmes (standard and medium risk), intensive case management aimed at high harm and/or significant recidivist perpetrators. To do this, the Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with existing agencies as part of a co located multi agency approach.
The Domestic Abuse Prevention worker will work closely with the victim/survivor IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
The work carried out in Bolton is currently focused on MATAC where we provide the service sometimes referred to as PAST.
The Prevention, Action and Support Team (PAST) provides an intensive case management service for individuals (all genders, 18+) identified by the police as high risk, high harm perpetrators of domestic abuse. The intervention lasts 8 – 16 weeks, (with potential extensions based on the duration of the perpetrators inclusion in the perpetrator panel cohort). Cases are referred through a police-led perpetrator panel (e.g., MATAC or DATAC).
PAST’s intensive case management approach balances support, accountability, and disruption to deliver tailored interventions that enhance victim safety, provide perpetrators with opportunity for change – while ensuring they are held accountable for their actions.
About you
You’ll have a deep understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on clients and children, as well as the reasons behind abusive behaviours towards intimate partners.
Your knowledge extends to the range of statutory and voluntary agencies that clients and their children may encounter, and you are aware of the impact of domestic abuse on children and parenting, including the additional needs of clients from BMER communities.
You will have experience in working with clients on issues of domestic abuse, providing one-to-one and group support and advice, managing your own workload and administration, and assessing the risk and safety of your clients and those connected to your client. You will have handled safeguarding disclosures and referrals, and you communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person.
You will be organised, able to use your initiative, and work effectively as part of a multi-service team. Your administrative skills are strong, and you are adept at using a computer to maintain effective systems.
Flexible and willing to work evenings, you can travel independently. Additionally, you will have an understanding of trauma-informed practices, risk mitigation, and safeguarding. Experience liaising with social workers and other professionals, and in related areas such as substance misuse, child protection, or family support, is desirable.
Fluency in an additional language and skills in group work are also advantageous. You stay updated with best practices and new initiatives.

You will act as Co-Secretariat for the APPG for Missing Children and Adults, and build relationships with key stakeholders in government, parliament, the police and safeguarding agencies, finding ways to engage and motivate policy makers to better understand the issues affecting missing people and their families, and to make positive changes.
You will become expert in the issue of missing, including the risks that cause people to go and the harm they experience while away. This will also involve monitoring the policy landscape for opportunities to influence changes in the response to missing people, and provide expert insight and guidance to help shape improvement.
You will represent issues facing some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities. This might include people who face sexual or criminal exploitation, people experiencing mental health problems or people who face discrimination in the response they receive from statutory services when they seek help in relation to the issue of missing, amongst others. This will sometimes include engaging with and challenging professionals in organisations and systems that exist with embedded discrimination.

About the role:
The CYP Behaviour Change Caseworker is a specialist role focused on working with young people (typically aged 4-17) who are displaying abusive or harmful behaviours, often in the context of domestic abuse within the home or in dating relationships. The goal of this role is to disrupt, challenge, and change the behaviour of the young person to protect victims (family members or partners), prevent re-victimisation, and intervene early to stop the escalation of abuse.
This role involves hybrid working, often based in police stations, offices, or community settings. Hours are usually Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm however flexibility may be required in line with service user need and the availability of the young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of young people displaying abusive behaviours, providing a medium term service.
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct risk and needs assessments to create tailored, individual support plans focusing on behaviour change.
- Direct Interventions: Deliver one-to-one interventions to address the root causes of abusive behaviour, encouraging understanding of the impact on victims.
- Safety Planning: Work closely with colleagues, such as Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs), to develop safety plans for victims.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Liaise with police, social care, housing, and schools to ensure a comprehensive, co-ordinated community response.
- Education and Prevention: Potential to run awareness-raising sessions in schools, youth centres, and communities regarding healthy relationships, consent, and the impact of abuse.
- Case Recording: Maintain accurate, confidential records on secure case management systems in line with GDPR and safeguarding policies.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families, particularly in domestic abuse, youth justice, or social work settings.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures, child protection legislation, and the impact of domestic abuse on children.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with hard-to-reach young people, challenge behaviours, and build trust.
- Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and manage high-risk, sensitive, and emotional cases.

Caseworker - Sexual Violence
Location: Aylesbury (Hybrid)
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (5 days)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 (FTE) per annum

Role Description
To provide holistic support to anyone who has experienced sexual violence and to identify and engage with these individuals on a one-to-one basis, enabling them to access services and make positive, empowering choices.
Responsibilities:
- To provide support to service users who have experienced sexual violence.
- To provide support to the facilitation of group work within the service.
- To provide group work interventions on a 1-2-1 basis where the service user is unable to access groups.
- To lead on providing service users information sessions and informal group activities / events.
- To independently manage a small caseload of adult client cases, providing practical and emotional support.
- To conduct risk assessments, do case management and safety planning in partnership with other key agencies.
- To advocate in a range of settings on behalf of the service user and working towards them being their own best advocate.
- To help service users to make informed choices about their future options.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Essential:
- Experience of direct support work with victims or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support.
- Excellent Caseworker with good assessment, motivational and empowerment skills.
- Organising, prioritising, risk management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working cooperatively and effectively in a team.
- Willingness to be able to work flexible hours when necessary and be part of an on-call rota.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including presentation skills.
- PC literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Compassionate towards the individuals the service supports.
- A driving licence and own transport.
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work in diverse settings and with people with diverse needs.
- Good knowledge of a full range of civil, criminal and practical options available to service users.
- Good knowledge of restorative interventions or ability to learn them and make use of them with appropriate service users.
- Knowledge and skills to operate within a trauma informed approach.
- Ability to provide non-judgemental, non-directive and confidential support to service users in crisis.
- A clear understanding of the gendered nature of some crime types, and a clear understanding of how different crime types disproportionately affect different groups of people.
- A commitment to working within an equality and diversity framework and an awareness of barriers to accessing support.
Desirable:
- Ability to determine strategies, outcomes and opportunities to develop the role.
- Experience and knowledge of exploitation and modern-day slavery, sexual violence and other complex issues.
- Experience of working with groups with multiple complex needs.
- Mental Health Awareness including the impact on an individual and the services available.
- Have an ISVA qualification or be prepared to undertake training.
- Knowledge of domestic abuse – at least level 2 DASH training.
- Awareness of differing counselling approaches.
For this role you will also need:
- The ability to travel within Thames Valley and occasionally the surrounding areas.
- To be free from any criminal conviction which would conflict with the responsibilities of the post. You will be required to have a DBS Enhanced disclosure or a portable DBS.
- To be able to deal with all information on a confidential basis and understand data protection requirements.
- A driving licence and your own vehicle.
- To have Citizenship of the UK or have entitlement to work in the UK.
