As the Director of People & Culture, you will lead the People Directorate teams of HR, Education & Reception, as well as supporting the organisation through significant organisational change as we launch our 2025 - 30 strategy.

You will contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team to the corporate management of the
Hospice and to decision-making processes to enable effective day-to-day management of the Hospice. This role will play a role in driving culture development, change and improvement, translating the charity’s strategy into HR plans to be designed and executed.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Hybrid role - up to 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities - Strategic Leadership

• Provide guidance and challenge at executive leadership team level to ensure that the organisational design and resources are aligned to the efficient delivery of objectives
• Provide assurance to the Board of Trustees that St Joseph’s is fully compliant in how we manage our people, representing the senior Management Team on the HR Subcommittee, Remuneration Committee and attending Board meetings

Job Summary
 
When someone goes missing, Missing People provides help to families, friends and professional carers who wish to publicise their appeal. This can be through the charity’s website resources, appeals and opportunities for publicity in the media.
 
You will support families, friends and professional carers to make appeals when someone has officially been reported as missing. The role will involve communicating in a timely, compassionate and knowledgeable manner with people experiencing the trauma of missing someone and managing families’ initial expectations of the service. You will assess the most appropriate activities to safeguard and reconnect the missing person and be responsible for police liaison and updates. You will assess with families the use of public display publicity which may begin after 3 days and help families to understand what they can do themselves. You will work closely with the Communications team, providing them with accurate and timely information if publicity is the appropriate choice. You will also access and process 'Urgent missing’ requests and work with the Communications team to make the alert happen.
 
You will understand the needs of longer-term families who still want to publicise their missing person, and you will advocate on their behalf to help make sure their voice is heard.
You will work collaboratively with specialists in Family Support, Publicity, Helpline and Fundraising & Communications teams to support the families and missing people we are here to help.
 
Key Accountabilities:
 
Service delivery
• Assess and process incoming requests from, family members, friends and professional carers and agree the most suitable support and publicity actions. Manage requests with high standards of accuracy, risk and criteria management, data management, and confidentiality;
• Risk assess all contacts to ensure any safeguarding issues in relation to the missing person or their family members are dealt with effectively. Participate in safeguarding decision making and implement safeguarding procedures.

We are looking for an exceptional leader to lead on delivery of our community based support within the London Borough of Islington. The Opportunity

The Partnership works to stop perpetrators of domestic abuse, support survivors, and build systems that make families everywhere safe and well.

Reporting to the Head of Operations (Drive Partnership), the HR Business Partner will act as a trusted strategic advisor and operational lead for the Drive central team, supporting around 60 staff across the three partner organisations. You will work closely with a Social Finance colleague to ensure alignment and effective communication across the partnership.

You will provide proactive, people-focused support across the full employee lifecycle — from workforce planning and organisational design to recruitment, engagement, and wellbeing. You will play a key role in shaping inclusive, consistent, and evidence-based people practices that strengthen the Partnership’s culture and enable high performance.

This is a unique, cross-organisational role. While Social Finance will act as the lead employer (and you will be formally employed by Social Finance), you will work day-to-day as a key member of the Drive Partnership’s central team, collaborating closely with HR colleagues from SafeLives, Respect, and Social Finance to share best practice and ensure consistency across organisations.

The Team The Drive Partnership, established by Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance in 2015, is working to end domestic abuse and protect victim-survivors by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. The Drive Partnership does this through the development of innovative responses to those causing harm and advocating for systems and policy change to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all those causing harm to increase the safety and freedom of all adult and child victim-survivors.Our vision is that by 2026 there will be a consistent approach which sees agencies in all PCC and local authority areas across England and Wales – backed by national leaders – working together to disrupt abuse and change behaviour to increase safety for victim-survivors, including children and families.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Business Partnering

• Partner with the Drive Partnership leadership team to develop and deliver workforce plans that align with programme priorities and ensure teams are structured for success.

• Provide insight, challenge, and evidence-based recommendations to inform strategic decisions around Partnership design, resourcing, and culture.

• Participate in leadership and Board meetings, contributing to discussions on people and organisational effectiveness.

• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across partner organisations, influencing decision-making through expert HR advice.

People Operations and Employee Experience

• Act as the first point of contact for HR queries for the Drive Partnership leadership team, providing clear, consistent advice on employment law, policies, and best practice.

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of recruitment, induction, and onboarding processes for Drive roles, ensuring a seamless and inclusive candidate experience.

• Contribute to salary structures including, pay benchmarking, and contractual changes, advising partners on pay and reward issues across the Partnership.

• Conduct and analyse exit interviews, producing actionable insights to inform retention and engagement strategies.

• Champion employee engagement and wellbeing — analyse feedback, identify trends, and implement initiatives that enhance the employee experience.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with HR teams in Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance to align HR policies, processes, and systems where possible.

• Support the creation and embedding of a strong, inclusive culture that reflects the Partnership’s values and mission.

• Contribute to projects to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion across the Partnership.

• Use HR metrics and data to provide insight and drive continuous improvement across all people practices.

About You

Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in a strategic or senior HR generalist role with exposure to the full employee lifecycle, ideally across multiple organisations or partnerships.

• Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders across different organisational contexts.

• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy, and best practice.

• Experience in designing and delivering recruitment, onboarding, and engagement strategies.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into practical actions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Overview of the role

This role is designed to deliver professional and efficient People services across all aspects of the employee journey, supporting managers and the senior leadership teams at London Marathon Events and the London Marathon Foundation. From onboarding through to employee departure, the position ensures every people-related activity is handled with care and precision.
 
 Operating within the People and Culture department, the role maintains the essential People Advisory function, providing expert guidance throughout the employee lifecycle, and in particular on employee relations and compensation and benefits. It is responsible for producing and implementing all necessary documentation, processes, and practices to support the business effectively.
 
 The position works in close partnership with the Talent team for recruitment and learning initiatives, as well as with the Senior People Partner and People Officer. Collaboration with the Workforce team is also key, especially regarding event staffing activities for the LMG Staff.

 Reporting to the Group Head of People, Culture and Workforce, this role ensures knowledge, best practices, and support are consistently delivered to meet the organisation’s needs

 

Key Responsibilities:

People Advice 

• Serving as the first point of contact for all people-related queries from managers and employees across LMF and LME, providing timely and accurate advice on organisational policies and procedures.
• Delivering day-to-day support and interpretation of people policies, ensuring consistent and fair application across the business.
• Overseeing compensation and benefits practices, including benchmarking roles, and ensuring consistent application of our pay policy.

• Supporting leaders and managers within the allocated business area on workforce planning, organisational design, talent mapping and development, grading and organisational effectiveness, ensuring best practice is embedded in recruitment, staff engagement, and retention.

About the role

We are seeking a Grants Systems and Business Analyst to join our Foundation, providing subject-area expertise to our grantmaking and wider teams. This exciting role leads on our grants system and processes and ensures we are working in the best way to support our grant-making (approx. £35m of grant spend per year).

You will lead on maintaining, designing and developing grant making systems and processes and their relationship to other parts of the organisation. You will work with colleagues to identify where we could improve our use of existing digital systems or introduce new systems and oversee the introduction of new systems as agreed including the development of a new grant management system. A key element of this role is to help others work in the most efficient and effective way. 

In addition, the role leads on introducing, developing and overseeing the operation of digital systems to support the operation of PHF’s wider business.  The post holder will bring a mix of technical and people skills to lead on continuous improvement, ensuring our systems and workflows fit the needs of the organisation and those we work with, and colleagues are skilled-up to work effectively.  This may involve working on the introduction of new software as required and will include working with our IT support company, software suppliers and colleagues who have specific oversight of some systems.
