This is a great opportunity to join the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) as our PR & Media Officer.
In this role, you will drive UNICEF UK's communications and media efforts for public fundraising and brand campaigns such as Soccer Aid for UNICEF, as well as advocacy campaigns, and humanitarian emergencies. You'll manage relationships with UK media and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver ambitious, impactful media coverage that supports our income and influence goals across the Public Relations and News and Emergencies teams.
To succeed, you'll need experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating media strategies, and crafting effective communication materials to secure consumer and news coverage in key mass media outlets. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with UK journalists and stakeholders. Up-to-date knowledge of the UK media landscape and current humanitarian issues is also crucial.

Barnabas International is a large family of Christian ministries and charities focused on giving practical support to suffering, abandoned and persecuted Christians around the world. Overview of the Chief Outreach Officer
The Chief Outreach Officer will assume responsibility for all international communications, outreach and emerging countries and reports to the International Chief Executive Officer
This position will ensure that the organisation’s distinct Christian identity, operational excellence, resource efficiency, and effective programme delivery are maintained globally.
Main duties and responsibilities

Operational Leadership and Strategy
· Assist in the development and execution of the operational strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and global objectives.
· Lead the development and execution of the global communications strategy to raise awareness, prayers and donations [outreach]
· Oversee the development of robust supporter acquisition and retention programmes that align with organisational needs [outreach]
· Ensure smooth collaboration and operational coordination between headquarters and country offices to achieve consistent performance and efficiency.
People and Leadership Development
· Foster a high-performance culture that aligns with the organisation’s Christian values, ensuring collaboration and commitment across teams.
· Lead, mentor, and develop the Outreach function, ensuring its effectiveness and capacity to deliver operational success.
Risk and Compliance Management
· Work with the International CEO and senior leadership team to assess and address emerging risks, especially in high-risk environments.
· Ensure operational compliance with industry standards, supporter requirements, and local regulations.
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
· Ensure effective internal communication regarding organisational updates and progress, particularly concerning project functions.
· Work with the Deputy International Projects Officer and senior leadership team to maintain clear communication with external stakeholders regarding operational matters.
· Collaborate with the International Chief Executive Officer to ensure the alignment of external communications with the organisation’s mission and global objectives.
Person profile
· Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse teams across multiple international locations. Demonstrated ability to lead through change and effectively manage organisational transformation.
· Risk and Compliance: Experience managing risk, including safety, security, and legal compliance, in international and potentially high-risk environments.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and represent the organisation both internally and externally.
· Project Management: While not directly responsible for projects, experience in supporting project operations and working closely with project teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects within the broader operational framework.
· Cultural Competence: Ability to lead and work effectively with diverse teams from different cultural and geographic backgrounds.
· Technology Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital systems, technology, and data management for international operations.
Educational Requirements:
· A degree in International Development, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
· Advanced qualifications (Master’s level or higher) in international development, business management, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
Work Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in international operations, ideally within the NGO, humanitarian, or development sectors.
· Experience working in crisis, conflict, or resource-constrained environments with an understanding of the challenges of global operations.
· Demonstrated success in managing teams and ensuring organisational growth and stability in complex international settings.
· Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with donor and legal requirements.
· Previous experience in working with or managing senior leadership teams in a global, multi-office structure is highly desirable.

About the role:

Ways of Working:

- Plan and execute targeted, data-driven email marketing campaigns aligned with the eoa’s business calendar and goals, using segmentation, A/B testing, and marketing automation tools.

Website Management
- Manage and maintain the eoa website, ensuring timely, relevant, and SEO-optimised content through collaboration with content creators.

Job Purpose:
To provide operational management of the Substance Misuse Through-the-Gate (SMTTG) programme, which supports Lambeth and Southwark women in custody and their transition back into the community. ShareAction’s Financial Sector Research team works towards holding financial institutions accountable for their impact on globally important challenges such as tackling climate change, upholding human rights and reversing biodiversity loss.
Asset managers, insurance companies and banks hold a huge amount of influence over the world’s largest companies through their investment and underwriting activities. Our reports rank many of the world’s largest financial institutions on their approach to environmental and social issues, pushing for and facilitating change in the financial sector.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the delivery of our 2026 benchmark of some of the world’s largest insurance companies (following our 2024 report), using your project management and research skills to ensure timely delivery of a high-quality publication and support the development of junior researchers in the team.
- Coordinate with civil society allies, executing the survey in collaboration with external partners for the first time, as well as continuing to work synergistically with other leading global NGOs.
- Present our work externally and engage with financial institutions, regulators, and industry bodies to provide detailed recommendations for improvement, supporting parallel workstreams on our benchmarks of asset managers and European banks.
Leading a small team of dedicated researchers within the Financial Sector Research team, you will support the Head of the team to ensure delivery of the insurance sector benchmark, one of ShareAction’s key reports ranking financial institutions. This involves organising the team to collect information from institutions and databases, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, produce engaging graphics to communicate results and translate this analysis into actionable steps for financial institutions to take. Based in our Philanthropy Team in Fundraising, the postholder works with our clinical, estates and governance teams creating compelling proposals to secure mostly restricted income. If you have great digital competence, including the use of AI to summarise information, are an excellent storymaker able to understand an audience, quickly synthesize information and pitch in writing for success, or an early-career fundraiser ready to develop, in this role you will make a difference and work as part of a creative successful team. Understanding how to keep our ask fresh and steward these relationships is key. You will inherit a portfolio of trust and grant funders who have committed support over the long term and a portfolio that delivers at least £180k in income each year. You will work with colleagues on well-established campaigns like The Big Give and support experienced volunteers who handle small grants. This role has space for innovation to secure new funders and uplift existing contributions.
Rasing Funds:
· Ensure an inclusive, engaging and best-in-class experience for Trusts and grant makers
· Manage an annual rolling programme of applications and multi-year funding reporting requirements.
· Deliver medium, large and complex bids for unrestricted and restricted income to ensure success to an income level of at least £150k to fund initiatives including for example: direct delivery of care, volunteering initiatives, new routes into work for protected groups, equipment and capital projects.
· Robust and regular research of funding opportunities, new trusts, and wider horizon scanning to identify a broad base of opportunity to refresh and renew the pipeline of prospective funders
· Steward existing trust donors, finding opportunities to cultivate and grow the relationship.
· Be a visible accessible presence across the hospice, encouraging colleagues to share and develop their own ideas to raise funds that you and/or trust and grant volunteers can take forward and or support the team generating the ideas to do so.
· Attend our Clinical Assets Meetings and restricted funding meetings
· Generate social media posts consistent with Hospice content standards and GDPR and hard and soft copy information to inform and promote the impact of supporters, this includes video/reel thankyou messages.
Communication
· Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure funding for specific projects and core activities
· Maintain and develop relationships with existing trust and foundation donors
· Be the first point of contact for trust and grant funders and supporters and, for colleagues internally who have questions/queries or have an interest in this area of funding
· Manage a pipeline of prospective funders, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking of application statuses
· Help to create and deliver moments of stewardship that are personal to each funder, show the impact of their support and inspire them when they can, to have an on-going relationship with the charity.
· Be volunteer team leader recruiting volunteers to support your role, ensuing they are inducted and supported. As the wider team help ensure all volunteers feel supported when their respective team leader is away.
· Identify opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the Hospice to maximum benefit for the charity.
· Be an outstanding advocate for the Charity and represent the Charity at functions and events, in line with the values of the organisation, to promote the objectives of the Charity
Digital/Business Administration
· Provide routine and regular reporting on progress, advising on risk/mitigation to ensure the annual target is met
· Enter and update donor information on the CRM ensuring compliance with the GDPR and Data Protection Act.
· Ensure CRM (Donify) records and preference information is up to date and accurate at all times, including recording interactions with supporters
· Ensure all word documents are securely saved and accessible to colleagues on Sharepoint.
· Ensure you comply with all aspects of statutory and mandatory training for your role and through your individual performance deliver on jointly agreed objectives and goals that help to deliver the business of the charity.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Approach
· Educated to degree standard or equivalent
· Written fluency able to match bid requirements with succinct well evidenced phrasing
· Two years relevant experience with transferable skills
· Excellent digital skills with experience in using AI to synthesize information
· A successful track record in securing grant funding or meeting sales targets
· Good interpersonal skills able to inspire confidence and trust
· Well-developed insight into your own strengths and areas for development
· Enjoys working with people from a wide range of communities and contexts
· The ability to build rapport quickly and mutually beneficial long term relationships
· Experience of working to income targets and working proactively to take corrective action
· Experience is using donify (or another CRM), business software, social media and databases
· Experience of working with volunteers (desirable).

We are currently seeking a compassionate, proactive, and engaging Project Worker to join our Learning Disability Outreach (LDO) team.
You will work directly with adults who have learning disabilities, supporting them to lead more independent, connected, and fulfilling lives. The role involves a mix of 1:1 support, group work, advocacy, casework, and mentoring, as well as helping to deliver a timetable of social activities and workshops.
You will also play a key part in volunteer coordination, helping to ensure a warm and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Empathy, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in people are essential.
