AllChild (formerly West London Zone) is a non-profit organisation that proactively works with children and their families to flourish socially, emotionally and academically through our tailored Impact Programme.

Working with schools, we identify and support children and young people before the need for crisis intervention, connecting them to the help they need through our trusted adult, the Link Worker.

Our Associate Link Worker/Link Worker is based in the school with the children and young people they are working with on our programme. They work directly with the children, their families, their teachers and our partners to design and facilitate a two-year Impact Programme of support and champion the children and young people along the way.

Since our launch in 2016, our Impact Programme has helped thousands of children and young people at the tipping point of need. 75% are no longer at risk in their emotional and mental wellbeing; two-thirds improved their grades, and 90% of schools renew after the first programme, noting ‘transformational or significant positive impact’ for the children and wider school environment.

About the role

Public Law Project (PLP) seeks an inspiring and experienced interim CEO - parental leave cover - to lead us through an exciting and pivotal period. With our new strategy launching in July 2025, we are looking for a collaborative and values-driven leader to turn vision into action, build our external profile, support a developing team, and drive sustainable funding growth. A background in law or public law is not essential, but you must bring a clear appreciation of the issues and landscape in which we operate. Objective:

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under in Wales. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of the families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

Context of role:

2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We provide immediate casework support, as well as ongoing services including counselling, complementary therapies, play therapy, coffee mornings, support events and a respite cottage.

As we continue to expand our services across England the successful candidate will play a central role in the ongoing development of our relationships with stakeholders. Initiative and drive play an integral part of ensuring our professional stakeholders remain engaged and champion our service to those we support. The post holder will provide immediate and ongoing emotional and practical support to families, friends, witnesses and professionals affected by the sudden death of a child or young adult.

Main duties:

Service:

• To initiate immediate support for a caseload of families whose children and young people aged 0- 25 have died suddenly and unexpectedly across the county you reside in and bordering counties
• To contact all families within 24-48 hours of the referrals by telephone
• Complete an initial assessment of families' needs to identify and plan the support as required in line with safeguarding and risk reduction
• Offer emotional support and advice to a case load of families through home visits and ongoing weekly telephone calls
• To liaise with the Counselling Support and Outreach Coordinator, who is responsible for organising formal support such as counselling, complementary therapy or play therapy, subject to consent from the bereaved individual
• To work with hospital staff, GP’s, police officers, coroner offices, mental health teams and other healthcare professionals to raise awareness of and promote referrals into the charity from the county you reside in and bordering counties
• To liaise with other professionals working alongside the family to provide a holistic and multiagency approach to support
• Attend relevant forums within the area
• To deliver awareness training in hospitals and other healthcare settings, schools and workplaces on the use of the bereavement boxes, the services we offer, ho to refer into the charity and bereavement awareness
• To ensure families have been offered a memory box and coordinate these when required
• Facilitate debriefs within professional settings following a traumatic or sudden death of a child or young person
• To work with hospital trusts to establish and maintain the upkeep of suitable bereavement suites for bereaved individuals to use as required
• Maintain stock of 2wish memory boxes and deliver boxes to partner organisations as required
• To submit monthly/quarterly/annual reports to Bereavement Services Manager as required
• To signpost and/or refer to other agencies as required that can provide support as needed
• Cover members of the support team for annual leave and/or sickness
• To travel to attend in-person team meetings and in-person training as required
• To travel to in-person events as required

General:

• To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration
• To show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
• To undertake learning opportunities and seek them out for the team
• To adhere to all company policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Health and Safety and Lone Working; and to be proactive in implementing new safe working practices as appropriate
• To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity as necessary
• Participate as and when required in team meetings and one-to-one meetings, and undertake, as appropriate, courses/training/other developmental activities, which is relevant to the role
• Contribute on the social media platforms maintained by 2wish

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Location: Based within the central office in Luton with regular travel required around multiple community based locations

Salary: £24,500

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as necessary to service requirements.

About the role

This is an exciting new role within a brand new contract to support the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams! The service focuses on providing floating and wraparound support to single applicants who are at risk of homelessness and are able to live independently, by providing a housing support plan towards resolving housing needs and support them into long-term, stable housing.

In this role, you will conduct proactive outreach with our participants to develop personalised support plans for housing for appropriate long-term housing options, including accessing private rental listings and understanding application processes for tenancy. You will help our participants navigate the resources available to them including benefits and support services, advocating for their needs whilst empowering them to take ownership of their housing journey. You will work closely with the Landlord Liaison Officer who bridges the gap between our participants and private landlords. You will work closely with them to achieve prevention and relief outcomes by assisting the participant to remain in their provided accommodation. 

You will provide follow up support to ensure tenancy sustainment and successful transitions into permanent housing, keeping casefiles up to date with activities and documents, and escalating any high risks or high needs to the management team.

About you

This role is ideal for someone who has a real passion towards helping to end the cycle of homelessness, providing support to those who need it to live in stable accommodation. You will thrive in a person centred environment with real compassion and a non-judgmental attitude, understanding that people face different life experiences and sometimes just need that extra support to get back on their feet. We're looking for someone with a genuine passion and felt purpose to help people, challenge stigma, and make a real difference to people’s lives! You will have:

• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
• Knowledge of resources and opportunities within the local community, including knowledge around benefits and employment opportunities to sustain independent living
• The ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others

The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Policy & Public Affairs Officer to join our Policy, Insights and External Affairs Team.

Contract: Permanent

Remote: NYA is a remote working organisation. However, its home is in Leicester which is available for staff to work or host meetings. • Represent the Policy Team at external and internal meetings, policy forums and events.

The Ancient Tree Forum (ATF) is seeking a motivated and organised Technical and Engagement Officer to join our small, friendly and flexible team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a charity dedicated to safeguarding the UK’s ancient and veteran trees, along with their wildlife, heritage and cultural values.

Richmond Borough Mind is a vibrant local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 60 years. 

We are excited to be looking for a Young Adults Peer Support Worker. You will have your own lived experience of mental ill health and be able to use this experience as well as your professional skills and knowledge, to support others.

With the expansion of our work in this area we aim to reduce waiting times, reduce the number of people going into crisis, address inequalities and support transitions from youth to adult services. We will be offering holistic and personalised care and support to service users and carers.

This role will carry caseload and deliver a range of support and person-centred interventions to meet these needs, which could include group support, one-to-one interventions and signposting where specialist advice is needed. Referrals could be young adults, careleavers, people currently under adult mental health services, or carers supporting people in the community.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about motivating and coaching individuals with mental health issues, and able to support people on their journey to recovery. As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicants will have the skills to provide person-centred support, through one-to-one sessions and through facilitating groups. You will have an awareness of the boundaries we work within when supporting vulnerable adults. You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and must be able to work on your own initiative.

This is a partnership project with South West London St George’s Mental Health Trust (SWLStG), locally led by Richmond Borough Mind. We are SIFA Fireside, the support service for any adult in Birmingham that faces homelessness. For 40 years we have supported Birmingham’s most vulnerable people through Homelessness Intervention, Prevention and Recovery services.

The Adult Lead Worker service is based at our main hub in Digbeth but provides city-wide support to adults experiencing multiple disadvantages. This service provides flexible, strengths-based advice and support to people aged 18 years plus who experience two or more of substance use, poor mental health, history of repeat homelessness and offending history. Clients may also be serially excluded from services or be at risk of exclusion from mainstream services.

This is a targeted service that aims to build resilience, improve health and wellbeing and move people towards independent living at an early stage, in order to prevent or delay the need for crisis interventions.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will carry out initial and ongoing assessments of the support needs of individual participants, before providing them with essential advocacy, mentoring, guidance and training interventions that meet their needs, plus engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme by providing ongoing resettlement support.  You will be expected to create an Action Plan, plan and design appropriate activities, training programmes and interventions, and establish and deliver high-quality, engaging one-to-one and group sessions, while also monitoring participants’ progress and providing timely monthly reports.

Key role considerations

• This role will involve working alongside our partner GenesisCare to ensure a holistic approach is taken in aspects of support and treatment.
• The bulk of the patient work is delivery of one-to-one sessions – completing holistic needs assessments, review appointments, consultations, mindfulness, and relaxation sessions.
