We are pleased to offer a fixed-term opportunity within the Lloyds Bank Foundation due to the current Regional Manager taking a secondment.

This is a part-time (4 days per week) position, working from home, with regular travel across North East & Cumbria and to London. The post holder must live in the North East or Cumbria.

About you

You’ll have extensive knowledge of the voluntary sector, experience supporting local charities, and excellent relationship-building and organisational skills. You’ll be proactive, collaborative, and comfortable navigating change.

You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships with charitable partners and collaborating with other charities.You will support our charity partners in becoming more resilient and stronger, enabling them to thrive beyond the duration of their relationship with us.  You will do this by building trusted relationships with them, supporting them to identify their most pressing organisational challenges; and help them overcome the challenges by building the knowledge, skills and capabilities of staff and trustees.  You will work with charities, CICs, and partnerships to identify the most appropriate form of support to respond to the identified priorities.  Further information about LBFEW and our approach to supporting charity partners can be found on our website under the 'Development' section. 

You’ll be the face of the Foundation in the area, able to build strong and trusting relationships and be an advocate for community organisations across the patch. You’ll have a good understanding of the operating environment in the North East & Cumbria with well-established networks across the patch. You will also play a pivotal role in sharing learning, intelligence and insights to ensure the Foundations’ strategy development, delivery and relationship with the Lloyds Banking Group considers regional needs and the operating context of our funded partners.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).

The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our CEO to develop community fundraising maximising the funds raised by volunteer fundraisers and developing supporter engagement. The successful candidate will also work alongside our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer to support our Trusts and Foundations income generation.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

- Experience in all aspects of community fundraising including events, assisting fundraisers to develop imaginative fundraising ideas and inspiring new supporters to raise funds whilst maintaining relationships with existing supporters

- Experience in building and sustaining long-term relationships with fundraising groups and individual supporters

- Experience in managing effective and creative fundraising communications on social media and the website

- Ability to contribute to the overall Trusts and Foundations income stream, including proactively researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

- Ability to lead on creative fundraising campaigns around key events such as Batten disease awareness day and Christmas

This job requires a motivated individual who has a passion for all those within our Batten community and a strong desire to support the development and financial growth of the BDFA. The role is full time (35 hours per week) and is home based with occasional travel around the UK to meet donors and support fundraising events.

About the Role

The Engagement Officer is responsible for identifying and maintaining meaningful relationships with global stakeholders, including governmental, non-governmental and educational institutions. We are tackling the greatest threats working donkeys face locally and around the world, from the donkey skin trade to challenges working animals face in disasters. By coordinating engagement around sustainable development, wildlife crime, One Health and One Welfare agendas, the Engagement Officer will enable the cohesion within the member groups that the Sanctuary are currently part of and inspire new ways of working. This includes the International Coalition of Working Equids (ICWE) and developing and building new coalition opportunities around working animals.

Principles duties include:

· Build strong internal and external partnerships with global stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental organisations to grow existing and build new relationships.

· Coordinate and assist with accreditations and processes that support access in policy forums.

· Assist in the coordination of coalition and alliance engagement opportunities globally.

· Lead on agreed coalition / alliance priorities such as creating material, meeting with partners and planning international events.

· Create supporting materials and reports for stakeholders that advance the influencing agenda.

· Engage with, and support, team processes around strategic planning for external events and activities.

· Support the wider activities of the influencing work including helping to identify key external stakeholders and new forums.

· Manage the team horizon scanning

The globally working team is spread across the UK and overseas. This role is primarily remote, with flexibility to work from a location based in the UK that suits your needs and the needs of the organisation, in line with the Hybrid Working Guidelines. While the post is nominally linked to the Sidmouth office, there is only an occasional requirement to travel (around 3–4 times per year) to Sidmouth or another UK location for team meetings or organisational events.

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) is a specialist national charity supporting families bereaved by domestic homicide and working to improve responses to domestic abuse, homicide and suicide prevention. We provide expert advocacy, training, and policy development to influence systemic change and ensure that lessons are learned after domestic abuse related deaths.

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Training and Events Officer to support our growing training and development programmes and help raise the profile of AAFDA’s work across the UK. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone with experience in training, event management, and partnership development who is passionate about improving responses to domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, implement, and evaluate AAFDA’s internal and external training programmes.
• Deliver AAFDA Training Programmes
• Coordinate and manage the AAFDA Conference
• Assessment of workbooks associated with AAFDA’s Level 3 Accredited training
• Produce high-quality training materials and resources suitable for live on line, and in person training. .
• Organise, coordinate, and deliver events aligned with AAFDA’s strategic goals.
• Support the development of an Induction and CPD framework for staff.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the domestic abuse and criminal justice sectors.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience

Who we're looking for 

Full training will be provided under the guidance of our dedicated Training Officer. Our induction program has been developed to equip caseworkers with the skills they need to provide high quality support to road victims and covers topics such as being trauma-informed, safeguarding and risk management. We're open to candidates from all sorts of backgrounds, as long as you're a compassionate, self-starter with a background in providing high-quality emotional support and advocacy. Your experience in roles within the NHS, any health and social care, road safety, counselling, lived experience or any type of casework could make you an ideal candidate.

• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel expenses are reimbursed) 

• Resident in the Surrey or Hapshire area. 

• Experience delivering frontline support, preferably involving sudden bereavement or heightened vulnerabilities. 

· Strong advocacy and research skills to liaise with multiple organisations on behalf of service users. 

• Competency in I.T skills to work remotely.

Support will focus on resilience, environmental impact, readiness for AI and digital technology, enabling participating charities to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. With a strong emphasis on equity and access, the pilot is designed to ensure organisations of all sizes and backgrounds can benefit.

We will be using a test-and-learn approach — trying out new ways of supporting charities, learning from what works and what doesn’t, and using those insights to improve future programmes. This approach will help shape NLCF’s future support for both grant holders and grant seekers, strengthen the Foundation and partners’ own development practice, and contribute to wider learning across the sector.

About the Role

As Relationship Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering this new, collaborative pilot programme. You’ll be the key point of contact for grant holders referred into the programme, guiding them through a diagnostic process, co-creating tailored development plans, and connecting them with the right support.

You’ll also work closely with National Lottery Community Fund Funding Officers, helping them make confident and effective referrals. Your work will ensure that learning from these relationships directly informs the future design of the programme and how the UK’s largest non-statutory community funder supports small charities.

This is a highly relational role that requires empathy, curiosity, and a deep understanding of the voluntary sector.

As Programme Lead, you’ll have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of this ambitious and collaborative pilot. You’ll lead a multi-partner consortium, oversee a £2.1m budget, and ensure that up to 640 charities receive high-quality, equitable support.

You’ll manage delivery, governance, performance, and learning, while championing a test-and-learn approach that generates insights for the Foundation, the National Lottery Community Fund, and the wider sector. You’ll also lead a small team and play an active role in the Foundation’s leadership group.

This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who thrives in complexity, values collaboration, and is passionate about strengthening small and local charities.

You are an experienced programme leader with a strong track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in the charity, social or funding sectors. You bring a deep understanding of the voluntary sector, particularly the needs of small and community-led organisations.

This role will lead on providing advice, inspiration and support for schools looking to develop their school library provision and all the benefits this brings. An expert in school libraries, you will be comfortable supporting members 1:1, delivering training to larger audiences, providing consultancy to schools and sector organisations, writing training and resources, or preparing book recommendations.
