Overview and key points on the role | Rape Crisis South London is looking for 2 part time skilled, passionate and professional Caseworkers who will be based within the Advocacy Service. As a Caseworker you will support clients through their journey through the housing and benefits system by providing practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence. You should have a good working knowledge of Housing processes and Welfare benefits systems with experience of carrying out assessments and completing applications. In addition to having excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills you should also be able to develop key relationships with external agencies such as the local authority. You should have demonstrable experience working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. We will provide clinical supervision, full training and line management, and the opportunity to develop your skillsets. About the Role
We are looking for a Helpline Officer to join our small and supportive Services Team. This role is central to delivering high-quality information and advice via our Helpline, and to supporting and working alongside our trained Helpline Volunteers.
The Helpline is a trusted source of support for people affected by ataxia, offering clear, accessible information on a wide range of issues including welfare benefits, accessing grants, and access to health and social care. The role also contributes to the wider development of our Helpline and Advocacy services, helping ensure those who need more in-depth support are connected to the right resources.
This is a part-time role, working 14 hours per week to help deliver our Helpline service. The Helpline currently operates Monday to Thursday from 10:30am to 2:30pm, with plans to extend these hours in the future.

What you’ll be doing
As a Campaigns Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping River Action’s fight for cleaner rivers by transforming complex data and information into compelling narratives that influence public opinion, media coverage, political advocacy, and legal action.
Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, you’ll be at the heart of our evidence-based approach. You’ll be analysing government and industry data, uncovering insights, and equipping our team with the intelligence needed to challenge polluters, hold regulators accountable, and push for policy reform.
Like a detective, you will be the person we rely on to seek out and identify the smoking gun - as well as to meticulously build out the pieces of the jigsaw - that demonstrates the malpractice, illegal behaviour or mismanagement of a water company, a factory farm or a failed regulator.

Monitor government regulators and industry updates, tracking regulatory programmes, announcements, data, reports and other information.

Develop and lead proactive data collection efforts including by making Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests to inform and support campaigns, legal actions, investigations and communications.

Plan, execute and report public opinion polls to gather insights that strengthen campaign messaging.

Analyse and interpret complex data to uncover key insights that drive impactful campaigns and communications.

Map and assess major campaign factors, including pollution sources, supply chains, regulatory frameworks and industry compliance.

Investigate polluters, evaluating their legal obligations, governance structures, sustainability claims, environmental performance, finances and resource allocations.

Would you like to use your understanding of politics and advocacy and your relationship-building skills to tackle injustice? Can you bring people together to work for change? We are seeking to recruit an Advocacy Coordinator to develop and coordinate the delivery of influencing strategies around the identified public policy and advocacy priorities of the Methodist Church and the Joint Public Issues Team. In recent years these have includes issues around poverty, refugees and migration, the environment, the economy, peace and conflict, and politics.
You would be working for the Methodist Church and as part of the ecumenical Joint Public Issues Team, which brings together the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches, plus associate partners, to work together for peace and justice. It does this through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues.
You’ll need to bring experience of coordinating campaigns or advocacy initiatives, and a proven ability to build influential relationships and to convene and facilitate groups to enable decision-making and commitment to shared action. You’ll also need a good understanding of UK politics and of the context for public policy development, and to be a great communicator. While there is no requirement that you be a practicing Christian, you should be sympathetic to the mission of the Methodist Church, and share our commitment to seeking justice and to issues of equality, diversity and inclusion.

Carers Centre Tower Hamlets (CCTH) is a small, committed organisation dedicated to supporting unpaid carers through a variety of specialist services, from social and therapeutic activities to emotional, mentoring, advocacy, and signposting support. We aim to enrich and empower unpaid carers’ lives, providing them with the support they so selflessly give to others. We are now recruiting to our team someone who will lead on our work to support Carers as part of the Barnsley Street Mental Health Project.
Project Overview:
The Barnsley Street Project is a Community Mental Health Pilot aimed at delivering continuous, person-centred mental health care to underserved populations in PCN1 (Bethnal Green). This initiative is a collaborative effort between East London Foundation Trust (ELFT), Tower Hamlets Mental Health Alliance (THMHA), and the Look Ahead Housing Association. Driven by the voice of lived experience, the project is designed to address the systemic gaps in mental health services, particularly for marginalised communities.
Purpose of the role:
To identify and coordinate an effective support service for unpaid carers who support residents who access the Barnsley Street Project, with the aim of supporting carers to have their needs met as well as develop a healthy and sustainable caring role.
To facilitate access for unpaid carers in the Barnsley Street Project to appropriate support services, both statutory and voluntary. To provide comprehensive support and information to families and carers. To raise awareness of carers’ needs with professionals in the project environment and contribute to carer friendly policies.
The post will involve the direct provision of services, referral to and between services, collaborative work with other local agencies and outreach work. The post-holder will provide advocacy, referral, and ongoing practical and emotional support to unpaid carers through individual and group work.

About Alexandra Rose Charity
Founded by Queen Alexandra in 1912, Alexandra Rose Charity (ARC) has a long history of supporting people experiencing poverty in the UK. Our vision is for everyone to have access to healthy and affordable food, and our mission is to give families on low incomes access to fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities whilst advocating for systemic change to address food insecurity and health inequalities.
Since 2014, ARC has pioneered the use of financial incentives to improve access to healthy food and combat food insecurity through our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects. To date, we have supported over 11,000 families, including over 20,000 children, to access £3.5 million of fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities.
To deliver this scale, we work with 73 children and family centres and community organisations, 69 market traders and independent retailers, two fruit and vegetable vans and one fruit and vegetable delivery box scheme. We estimate that our projects have generated a total economic value added of almost £9 million for the local economies of the eight locations where we work: five London Boroughs, Barnsley, Liverpool and Glasgow.
As part of our new five-year strategy, we want to grow our reach and impact as part of a national movement where Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects are embedded in local and national policies and seen as a key intervention for transforming the diets of communities across the UK.
About the role
ARC has made significant progress in evaluating and demonstrating the impact of our Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg projects. We have developed evaluation tools and theories of change to measure how our work improves the diets, health, and well-being of children, adults and families. Additionally, we have commissioned economic impact assessments, offering valuable insights into the wider benefits of our approach.
As we launch our new five-year strategy, we are seeking a passionate Impact and Evaluation Manager to lead our research and evaluation initiatives. This role will play a key part in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of our projects, strengthening our evaluations by exploring causal links to health outcomes and tracking long-term beneficiary impact beyond their time in the projects.

This role is to facilitate the work of DSN-UK ensuring delivery of key project administration, advocacy work and the smooth running of the office and taking on ad-hoc tasks where necessary. - A National Helpline to provide access for children and young people to advocacy and advice, with access to legal advice and links with other national services.
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) to advocate for young people as qualifying patients under the Mental Health Act, in order to fully support them to get their views heard in matters relating to their mental health.
- Independent Visitor services offers a child or young person in care an adult volunteer who provides independent, one-to-one visiting, advice and befriending support. Our independent visitors can become the only long-term, consistent source of support throughout a young person's time in care.
- Independent services provide independent person services for complaints by children and for reviewing whether children should be locked up in secure units on welfare grounds.
- Policy and campaigning to create a better system for all children and young people looked after by the state, for their care to be more child-centred and to give young people a greater say in decisions about their lives.
- Participation services to ensure children and young people have a voice in the development and delivery of services and campaigns, and through the process, provide the opportunity to develop relevant skills which will be of benefit to them in their future lives.
- Training, development and information for young people, advocates and child care workers, offering courses in advocacy, children’s rights and child-centred practice across a range of areas including the National Advocacy Qualification.
About the Role
You will co-ordinate and deliver a statutory independent visitor service to children and young people in care or care leavers of London.
You will recruit, assess and train volunteers to become independent visitors, who are volunteer befrienders to children and young people looked after or care leavers. You will manage a cash flow to fund suitable activities for independent visitors to enjoy with the young person. You will manage data and reporting for this statutory service so that service leads and other stakeholders can understand the activity in the service.
We are a child led service, you will not act outside of the young person’s instructions (except in matters of child protection and safety.)You will build strong relationships with the child or young person, independent visitors and other significant adults, you will support Independent Visitors to develop long term, meaningful friendships with the young person.
You will work in partnership with other parts of the service, organisation and external agencies and professionals. This is to ensure there are pathways to attract and retain Independent Visitors in the area and sometimes out of area.
