About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Advocate to join our team covering Bedfordshire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working in advocacy, or providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.
How will you make a difference?
You will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are met to create positive outcomes for the people you support.
You will support people to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with the individuals you support. You’ll be creative in your approach to empower our clients by ensuring you meaningfully explain people’s options and rights to them. You’ll support individuals to fully participate in decisions affecting them and will make sure they have their voices heard.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Lincolnshire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as hospitals and care homes across the area to meet with clients and professionals and be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
This is a full-time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold an Independent Advocacy qualification will start on £22,500 per annum pro-rata.

THE ROLE
The Lead Policy Advocate – Planning will focus on influencing and shaping planning policies to protect woods and trees from development and promote biodiversity and public access. They will lead efforts to develop and implement evidence-based policies and influence strategies, coordinating with colleagues and partners to align these policies with the latest conservation research.
The role involves collaboration with stakeholders across the UK to ensure widespread understanding and support.
This is a hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time working from one of our regional offices, with regular UK travel. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible, and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate has a proven background in policy advocacy, particularly in areas relevant to environmental and conservation goals. You will be a skilled communicator and negotiator, adept at engaging diverse audiences and stakeholders, with robust project management skills, and the ability to adapt to changes and seize opportunities.
The role demands effective leadership to drive cross-organisational teams in executing dynamic strategies and a vision to integrate planning policy with broader environmental and conservation objectives.
Applicants should demonstrate an understanding of UK devolution's impact on policy, and the importance of public campaigns in policy advocacy. Familiarity with UK, EU, and global institutions related to environmental policy and expertise in planning policy, supported by an RTPI, CIEEM qualification, or equivalent experience, is required.

We are looking for someone to work with a clear strategy and then develop, grow and successfully manage our Youth Advisory (YAG) and Alumni groups, as well as lead the engagement of families / support networks. About the Role
You will join our national advocacy team, supporting survivors remotely across the UK and providing face-to-face, office-based, or community-based support in Wales. Key areas of focus include wellbeing, navigating the criminal and civil justice systems, safety, and accessing support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Support: Remotely support, advise, and advocate for LGBT+ victims/survivors of abuse, with a focus on so-called conversion practices.
- Empowerment: Use a trauma-informed, empowerment-based, and person-centred approach.

We are looking to recruit a passionate, committed and enthusiastic Service Manager. You will be accountable for people management and development within the staff team. This is a key role in guaranteeing the quality of our service delivery. You will be self-motivated and have a passion for positive change and the confidence to make difficult decisions under pressure. Having strong interpersonal skills will be essential for this role with the ability to build effective relationships with staff and the people we support. You will lead a team to provide a customer-focussed, high quality service to people with a learning disability and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the service is fully compliant
- Practice Management and leadership
- Observing staff to ensure high standards are continuously met
- Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are met
- Liaising with the families and other stakeholders of the people we support
- Ensuring the continuous development of the team.
- You must be competent in using IT.

Are you an experienced Senior Finance professional wanting to make a real difference for anyone affected by dementia? This role will support our Income and Engagement Directorate which includes raising funds so that Alzheimer’s Society can provide essential services to those who need us.
The Senior Finance Business Partner will assist the directorate with financial analysis and advice that will help shape decision making.
As a member of the Finance Partnering Team, you will support budget holders to maximise their impact and deliver a high quality, customer focused finance partnering service to stakeholders, including support to operational decision making, commercial development and producing forecasts, budgets and insightful analysis.
You'll have experience in preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, business plans, and modelling of financial data. You will advocate and promote the Society's core values (trusted experts, better together, compassionate and determined to make a difference) able working collaboratively with wider teams successfully and professionally to complete tasks.

This is a homeworking role, but you may be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices (London or Birmingham) if/when required.
About you
- Must be a fully qualified accountant with prior experience in a business partnering role.
- Experience of the charity sector would be nice to have but not essential.
- Be confident to question Senior stakeholder's queries and seek answers to solutions whilst providing continuous support.
- Proven ability to develop high-quality financial reporting for management.
- Can-do attitude with an ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Advocate and champion our ED&I mission whilst championing our focus in supporting those affected by dementia.

Summary of role responsibilities

Develop, implement and manage a dynamic communications plan for Solving Kids’ Cancer UK that encompasses the three key pillars of our work, across all communication channels;

Lead on the development and implementation of online marketing campaigns to raise wider awareness, demonstrate our impact, grow our income, and position our organisation as a thought leader in paediatric oncology;

Develop and grow our charity’s’ media presence and profile;

Raise the charity’s profile and reach through the generation of new online and offline audiences, followers and supporters.
