Job description

At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Property Compliance Officer to join our team at St John's College on a 12 month FTC.

You'll lead on the day-to-day responsibilities for property, health and safety and vehicle fleet regulatory and statutory compliance at St John's College and its residential settings. You'll conduct routine property inspections and work to identify any corrective actions needed. You'll carry out health and safety checks to ensure legal and regulatory body compliance is maintained across all property and ensure accurate records are kept.

You'll produce termly health and safety statistics and half termly Quality Assurance thematic reporting and statistics to ensure overall compliance. You'll carry out post-incident investigations with the Health and Safety Manager as appropriate and produce reports with action recommendations.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical compliance in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and/or regulations
  • Practical experience of effective risk assessment and management and able to provide professional advice and support
  • Proven ability in undertaking investigations using tact and diplomacy in sensitive or contentious situations
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing data/technical information, and producing written reports for internal stakeholders and committees
