The successful candidate will have a knowledge of the health and social care/local community landscape and experience of working in the community advice sector, or social prescribing. Role Responsibilities:
You will be delivering a unique and innovative information and advice-based support and enablement service for people with disabilities who are living complex and challenging lives:
· Helping them to understand and identify the issues that are undermining their quality of life.
· Exploring options for solutions, opportunities, and ways forward with clients and helping them to make choices.
· Supporting clients’ development of action plans.
· Enabling clients to fulfil their action plans and gain the life-toolkit and ability to manage future setbacks and take advantage of new opportunities.
37 hours per week with starting salary of £23,698 with pension contribution and Employee Assistance Programme.
Currently office-based Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 08.30am-4.30pm, with other hours currently home-based (Wed, and Fri).

Salary: £36,029 per annum

Our office is based in King’s Cross, London (WC1X 9JG).Our expectation is that you will come to London a few times each month for team meetings, including a quarterly ‘all staff’ event, and a quarterly External Affairs away day. You may also find it useful to visit member hospices. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time.
Contractually this role is London-based.
Contract: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week).

We’re looking for a creative-loving Marketing Communications person to join our digital content team at Hospice UK. It’s a really exciting chance to jump into a pivotal role here, and facilitate much of the great visual content that we produce as a team.
You’ll be working with some lovely people in the wider Communications and Campaigns team, which is part of an External Affairs directorate. We’re a small, close-knit department but already this year we’ve achieved some truly mighty results – not least, our recent rebrand, new strategy and new visual identity.
As you might imagine, working at a hospice charity brings with it some truly compassionate people. It’s a really lovely place to work because the people make it so. As Senior Marketing Communications Officer, you’d be part of a team of three, including your line manager (Senior Digital Marketing & Campaign Manager), and Membership Communications Officer.
And yes – as a hospice charity, we do work with death and dying on a daily basis. But it’s not all doom and gloom. Actually, by talking about it, writing about it and sharing stories about it, we’re helping to remove the stigma and taboo that it often comes with. And those stories and communications help give people hope, strength and confidence, sometimes when they need it most.
As Senior Marketing Communications Officer, you’ll be looking after a lot of our more creative, aesthetic products and projects. You might already be working as a Marketing or Digital Marketing Officer or Coordinator, and looking for the next step for your career. Or you could be an established Marcomms professional searching for a new challenge. Maybe you’ve already been in a marketing management position and want to get back to doing what you love!
Either way, you’ll be pretty knowledgeable on how to look after digital channels like social media and websites, and will have some experience of both. You might have some photoshoot management and video projects under your belt too, and ideally you’ll have experience of managing a digital asset management system. The role will also involve some print project knowledge, so it would be really handy if you’ve looked after relationships with designers, printers and know how the process works (and what gsm our new Impact Report should be, for example!)
We don’t expect you to be a brand specialist, but hopefully you’ll have experience of working with an organisation’s brand book, tone of voice and visual identity guidelines. That’s because many people in other teams here will turn to you for guidance on how to use our new brand, which logo or font to use, and requests to source appropriate photography in our house style.
We’re looking to bolster our content and storytelling about compelling hospice care, and we’d love someone to join us with ideas on how to elevate that, and help source and write those stories up for us. Part of your role as Senior Marketing Communications Officer will be to help produce content – stories, videos, photos, resources – to our two major national campaigns: Hospice Care Week, and Dying Matters Awareness Week. Furthering Talent helps musicians from the earliest stage in their musical journey. The programme is specifically designed to help young people from low income families sustain their musical learning after initial state-funded whole-class lessons end, so they can keep on progressing and playing music well into their teens and beyond. The programme aims to effect significant change in how the musical potential of young people from low-income families is identified and supported.

The role
You will be the first point of contact and support for the team of Connectors in your Hubs, attending Teachers’ Forums and Get Togethers where possible and helping with the coordination of data gathering and management. You will help drive the promotion of the Connector role and handle any incoming Connector enquiries via the Young Sounds website, allocating them to the appropriate Connector. You will oversee the mentoring and youth voice offer in each Hub. You will be a champion for Young Sounds’ musically inclusive approach throughout the sector and will support the promotion of Young Sounds’ CPD and learning resources, especially the Charanga hosted Individual Learning Plan.

Arts Emergency has been supporting young people through our mentoring programme since 2011. During this time, we've seen a huge community of mentors from across the UK's creative industries come together to support nearly 2,000 underrepresented young people to pursue higher education, creativity and careers.
As the London Mentoring Officer, you will work as part of a small team to recruit, match and support mentoring pairs across London. This is a busy, fun, and rewarding role where you'll get to work independently while being supported by the Mentoring team, and the wider Arts Emergency team around the country.

Very sadly in August 2020 Joe passed away in totally unexpected circumstances at just 31 years of age.
During Joe’s life he brought a cheeky spirit and constant laughter to all those that met him. His selflessness and commitment to helping others touched so many, and in loving memory and as a legacy to Joe, his friends and family set up Joe's Buddy Line in January 2021.

This project is funded by the Government's Species Survival Fund. The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency. “Bogs and Bitterns: Somerset Wetland restoration is one of twenty schemes being funded across the country. Within our project area we aim to deliver 50 hectares of wetland habitat restoring and expanding to improve and create quality ‘stepping stone’ sites of high quality biodiversity and to enable species abundance across the wider county. We are looking for an individual with both hands on experience of delivering nature conservation work and project management expertise.
As Species Survival Project Fund Coordinator, you will have two main areas of work. The main part of the role is to provide project management and co-ordination of the Species Survival Fund project, ensuring we are on track, including meeting budget requirements, collating information and reporting as required, and providing line manager support to the project Ecologist. The second part of the role is to also to work on the development of specific species and habitat works at the Brides Mound and St Brigid’s Chapel site in Glastonbury; here SWT is working in close co-operation with the Friends of Brides Mound and Southwest Heritage Trust and is funded by the Glastonbury Town Deal Fund.
Responsibility 1: Manage the Project
- Share knowledge and expertise by:
- Providing project management and coordination and building relationship with key stakeholders.
- Ensuring concise information gathering and reporting for the Species Survival Fund project.
- Providing and sharing expertise on species survival, whilst coordinating evidence and monitoring of the project.
- Undertaking a wide range of complex, technical and professional tasks in differing situations, with a degree of personal responsibility and autonomy. It is important to be able to work both alone and as a member of the team.
- Adopting environmentally friendly working practices, setting, and maintaining high personal standards of efficiency and customer care and fostering a ‘can do’ culture based on ownership, initiative, teamwork, and exchange of information. All staff are ambassadors for the organisation both internally and externally and are expected to always act in a professional manner. They are required to abide by organisational rules, policies and procedures as laid down in the staff handbook.
Responsibility 2: Line Management
Provide leadership and support by:
- Providing direct line management to the Species Survival Fund Project Ecologist to ensure best practice and to drive the project forward.
- Managing the workload, performance, and personal development of the Species Survival Fund Project Ecologist.
- Having budgetary responsibility for the project and expenditure.
- Keeping abreast of national and international species recovery programmes and relate these to Somerset.
Responsibility 3: Work with Partners and Volunteers
Provide leadership and training opportunities as an influencer for the Trust by:
- Contributing to discussions, workstreams and providing support to the developing St Brigid’s Chapel and Brides Mound Project.
- Leading on working with other partners to design and implement habitat works across this landholding.
- Enabling the development of volunteering and training opportunities with the Friends of Brides Mound so they are resilient as a community to continue managing this land as part of the nature recovery network at the end of current funded works.
- Working in close collaboration with the communications and fundraising teams to promote the project including the production of articles, blogs and social media posts.
General

About the role
As digital content officer, you’ll design, edit and optimise our web content to help our users feel empowered throughout their breast cancer experience.
From personal stories and blogs to landing pages and webforms, you’ll support teams across the charity and lead the content creation for some of our key projects and campaigns.
You’ll know content design, search engine optimisation (SEO), user experience (UX) and accessibility best practices like the back of your hand and be able to advise teams on the correct approach for their pages. And with support from our digital analytics manager, you’ll be able to advise teams on how to improve their content to drive conversions.
Not only will you be able to take the lead, but you’ll also be a team player. You’ll be able to take direction from the digital content manager on bigger projects and collaborate with other members of your team.
You’ll join the team at an exciting time as we’re amid our digital transformation project. You’ll play a key role in moving our content from the old to the new website. You’ll also help set the standard of content on the new website by training teams on new processes on the new CMS and coaching them on web best practices.
