About The Role

We’re seeking a dynamic individual to support Medair UK’s engagement with trusts and foundations in the United Kingdom. Over the last 5 years income from trusts and foundations has gone from strength to strength increasing by 230% and the successful candidate will be part of the small team responsible for increasing this key area of funding. You will be an integral part of this growing Christian charity. You will enable support for the life-saving work Medair delivers to some of the world’s most vulnerable people by driving forward our relationships with UK trusts and foundations.

About You 

You will be a positive and solution focused fundraiser, ready to take initiative and embrace challenging targets. Ideally you will have experience in growing income from trust and foundations from both longstanding and new potential partners, or be able to demonstrate highly relevant transferable experience. You will be capable of compiling strong fundraising proposals; produce high quality reports; partner with financial colleagues in preparing complex budgets and financial reports. A compelling written communicator, you will have a keen understanding of the humanitarian sector, and of what motivates trusts and foundations to support this work. 

Key Activity Areas  

Lead Generation  

• Be responsible for account management of caseload of mid-range Trusts & Foundations.

• Work collaboratively with the Engagement Manager, Engagement Support Officer and volunteers in the identification, approach and management of UK Trusts and Foundations.  

• Regularly research and review opportunities for building potential relationships with prospective Trusts and Foundations and progressing relationships and applications with them through compelling communications. 

• Work with existing networks and contacts to identify and approach potential trusts and foundations and develop relationships with key decision makers there 

• Identify and pursue opportunities to increase income from existing Trust and Foundation relationships 

Communications and Management  

• Work towards an agreed target each year of engaged trusts and related income, both restricted project and unrestricted funds.

• Write compelling cases for support and proposals in order to secure grants 

• Effectively work with internal contacts throughout the global Medair organisation in the preparation of approved proposals, reports and supporting financial and impact information 

• Manage Medair’s engagement plan, initiating and delivering creative touchpoints throughout the year for all of Medair’s trust and foundation partners, as well as building relationships with trustees and representatives through video, online meetings, events and face-2-face opportunities 

Planning, monitoring and pipeline management  

• Maintain a good record of the application pipeline and CRM (salesforce), monitoring application output, income targets, fund allocations and reporting deadlines.

• Ensuring all grants from trusts and foundations are correctly allocated to Medair programmes, with the appropriate grant card on Medair’s project management platform and maintaining good contact with country programmes and finance partners throughout the lifecycle of Medair UK co-funded projects.

Internal Liaison  

• Liaise with Medair’s Heads of Country Programmes, Country Directors and Communications Officers in order to gather information and data for the purposes of applying and reporting to funders 

• Work collaboratively with finance colleagues in the preparation and approval of budgets and reports.

• Foster dynamic and mutually beneficial relationships with other fundraisers within Medair international and the affiliate offices, readily sharing proposals, reports and information.

The HIV Prevention Peer Project Lead will coordinate a team of workers in the delivery of an HIV prevention project in Southwark borough to increase uptake & awareness of HIV & sexual health testing, PrEP and HIV prevention strategies among Latin American (Spanish and Portuguese speaking) communities. The work involves mapping community locations conducting HIV Prevention outreach and testing and engaging community ambassadors from local Latin American-focused organisations and businesses.

The project aims to raise awareness about methods of HIV Prevention, as well as reduce HIV stigma alongside improving the general health and wellbeing for Latin American communities in Southwark. 

Programme 

The Southwark Latin Community HIV Prevention Project will deliver a targeted programme of outreach, engagement, and education to the Latin American community in Southwark. The programme will include street-based outreach with our community engagement bus, Point of Care HIV testing and PrEP awareness sessions in community spaces such as high streets, local markets, nightclubs, bars/restaurants, and local Latin support and social organisations. 

Role 

You will coordinate a small team of staff and volunteers to provide education, support and HIV testing and referral services to Latin Communities in Southwark. You will coordinate monthly outreach activities using our mobile community testing bus to deliver interventions that increase HIV and sexual health testing uptake, condom usage, PrEP awareness, HIV treatment adherence support and reduce HIV stigma. You will also deliver broader health advice, interventions, and referrals for Latin American populations, such as GP registration, blood pressure, blood sugar, weight management & smoking cessation. 

You will gather data from outreach and collate to create quarterly reporting for our funders. 

You will work with the METRO Comms team to develop promotional materials, create a social media impact, and establish service branding to support effective community engagement and service delivery. 

The post holder is required to be fluent speaker in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese.

The applicant would have the ability to drive our outreach bus (desirable but not essential). For this, our insurance requires that you be aged between 25 and 70 and that you have held a UK, Category B driving licence for 2 years.

Job Title: Arts and Learning Strategic Lead

About the role

This is a brand new role, supporting the Head of Safe Ground with the strategic oversight and delivery of our programmes. Safe Ground has been at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative arts-based, therapeutically informed interventions within the criminal justice system and in communities across the UK. As we approach our 30th anniversary this year, we remain dedicated to challenging systematic injustice through the programmes we run and the partnerships we build. This role is a great opportunity to be part of our transformative goals, in being part of creating systematic change.

Using theatre arts, and culture, we design initiatives to support those impacted by the criminal justice system in gaining deeper insights into themselves, their relationships and their behaviours. We do this by equipping our participants with practical tools and building a community who are open to doing things differently. In this role, you will develop best practice around creative interventions, building powerful partnerships with commissioners, partners, and other key stakeholders, ensuring our programmes are being delivered to the highest standards. You will lead on the development of new and existing arts-based work, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth within the sector.

• Oversee the development of new creative ideas and programmes as well as programme adaptations and redesigns. Ideas could be linked to theatre productions in and out of custodial settings, short films, live events, symposiums, but may also include new art forms and working with new artists
• Development of a local / national facilitator network
• Create and deliver engaging high-quality programmes which support rehabilitation and reintegration for participants
• Design and deliver innovation arts-based high quality training and quality assurance support to management and delivery teams across the SIG network - focusing specifically on relationships, culture and communication, conflict resolution, storytelling, power-sharing and co-production
• Lead on the development of creative ideas for Safe Grounds 30th anniversary, including; relationship building and partnership development, advocacy and networking, idea development - radio / stage / film etc
• Provide high quality peer-mentoring spaces, leadership, and line management to staff, offering guidance, support, and advice to the team to support them to perform to the best of their abilities. About you

We are looking for someone who is ambitious and passionate about supporting people who have experienced multiple disadvantages and social exclusion. You will have proven experience in arts development and strategic support, with an extensive understanding of the criminal justice system and the role in which arts-based interventions play. You will be creative, empowering, and be a dedicated lead in supporting our strategic growth. You will understand arts-based interventions and methodologies, and have experience in developing and delivering creative programmes and productions.

• Previous experience in working and engaging with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Previous experience in developing, producing, and/or performing professional productions for example film, television, or theatre productions
• Proven experience in designing innovative arts-based programmes and extensive experience of facilitation of programmes and/or training for various groups
• A theoretical understanding of co-production models and practical application of building them and embedding them into best practice
• Previous experience and/or ability to people manage and develop a team
• Ability to create, develop, and deliver new programmes and/or creative content in various settings such as prisons, communities, and wider criminal justice settings

What the job involves

We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. What you'll be doing:
In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager Proposition Development to shape compelling propositions, develop new funding ideas, and design engagement actions that will drive relationships forward.

Using your experience in bid writing or fundraising, you will develop exciting new propositions which appeal to a wide range of funders. You'll be able to develop a deep understanding of the needs of our fundraisers and connect those with the exciting and innovative work of RNIB.

You'll lead on engagement for the team, developing tailored cultivation strategies, engagement pathways, and designing products to move prospects through their giving journeys.

The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS), the UK’s largest national charity dedicated to improving bone health and beating osteoporosis, is seeking a bold and dynamic fundraising and communications leader who can drive transformative income growth and galvanise public engagement.

Half of women aged over 50 live with osteoporosis, plus a fifth of men.  The condition causes bones to break (fracture) following everyday occurrences – e.g. sneezes, coughs and falls.  Fractures are the fourth worst cause of disability and premature death, but most people with osteoporosis are undiagnosed.

ROS works to improve diagnosis and access to care for the unacceptably high number of people whose lives risk being destroyed by this highly treatable condition each day. They equip people with practical information and support to take action on their bone health and, working with healthcare professionals and academics, influence and shape policy and practice at every level. The charity’s research arm is investigating new diagnostic approaches, including the world’s first screening programme, as well as novel treatments to beat osteoporosis for good.

This is a pivotal time for ROS as they aim to seize on momentum garnered from half a million people checking their risk, two national media partnerships, a groundbreaking Ministerial pledge to roll-out early diagnosis clinics to every area, and more people than ever engaging with their services. · Track record of managing complex relationships with funders/ clients, involving sophisticated reporting and stewardship.

· Experience of implementing new fundraising/ income generating strategies.

· Understanding and experience of working within the requirements of the Code of Fundraising Practice and data protection legislation.

Desirable:

· Experience in a medical research, social impact, or disability work environment.

·  Knowledge and experience of managing Appeals.

·  Working as part of a team on Fundraising Galas/Balls.

Flexibility
