The Learning Specialist contributes to the development and delivery of training materials and resources within the organisation. You will work closely with the Learning & Organisational Development Partner to support various learning and organisational development initiatives. You will also be key in the engagement and effective utilisation of Ambitious Learning (our eLearning platform).
You will design and develop training content for delivery through the LMS across various topics as directed, ensuring it meets the needs and learning styles of diverse staff. You’ll facilitate training sessions and assist in ongoing professional development programmes for Charity staff and managers, promoting continuous learning and growth. You’ll maintain central records and certifications, ensuring all training and learning initiatives comply with relevant regulations and standards.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A CIPD qualification (or working towards qualification) or equivalent Learning and Development qualification/experience.
- Demonstrable understanding of training intervention, design, delivery and evaluation principles.
- Skilled in LMS deployment, content development and management reporting.
- Skilled in deploying relevant eLearning tools and content.
- Demonstrable skills in developing learning and development, training and facilitation.

About the role
Working across Global Witness’s campaigns within a larger data team, you will support our larger data investigations. Using a range of tools and techniques, including data storytelling, analysis, bots and webscraping, you will highlight the role of corporations in worsening the environmental and climate crises.
About you
You will bring core data specialist skills, in particular in financial analysis, natural language processing, remote sensing and accessing and using open data.

About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to lead on our finance strategy, and ensure all of our systems, reporting and processes are helping to drive forward the charity and deliver on our objectives at scale. You will work closely with the Chief Executive and Directors to ensure that financial planning is effective and supported by accurate data analysis. You will report directly to Trustees as required and ensure that the highest standards of transparency and probity are maintained.
You will be joining the team during a period of growth in the size and complexity of our delivery. We currently have 20 employees and anticipate doubling in size within three years. You will have a crucial role in shaping our systems and processes to ensure we can scale effectively, both our existing programmes and a new membership-based programme that is in development. You will support and mentor the Finance and Office Manager, ensuring that financial administration is carried out proficiently and in line with all legal and regulatory requirements, including ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all statutory filings are made accurately and on time. Key responsibilities:
- Developing a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the delivery of the charity’s objectives and activities
- Reviewing suitability of our current systems: Quickbooks for accountancy, Beacon CRM, PLEO for expenses management, Survey Monkey for data collection etc.

The role
This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team, responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK.
The role is a combination of customer service provision and supply chain coordination with a strong data focus. You will analyse varied datasets to decide how food is distributed across our Network to ensure optimal and sustainable distribution. You will also be responsible for continuing and championing the high levels of customer service we provide to the food industry and our network of Regional Centres.
You will work closely with FareShare’s food suppliers, transport partners, and our Regional Centres to identify and overcome operational challenges to distribution. Main areas of responsibility
Food Industry Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements

About the role
You’ll be working on direct marketing campaigns and leading a strategic area of fundraising, to engage and inspire people to donate. - Plan, create and manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offline, and lead a strategic area of fundraising to secure donations
- Work with the Individual Giving Officers, delegating work and championing their development. There may also be an opportunity to line manage an Individual Giving Officer.
- Monitor income and expenditure budgets and use database analysis to inform and improve the direct marketing programme.

The Role:
The Partner Engagement Lead is responsible for key account management, and specifically developing and supporting relationships with programme sponsors and partners within the WorldGBC network.

- Line Management and leadership throughout employee lifecycle this includes; Recruitment, Onboarding, Inductions, training, support and supervision, relations, wellbeing support, and other areas.
- Formalise Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to monitor objectives.
- Provide both line management and professional consulting using best available forums and mechanisms, including meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. Facilitate a culture where constructive challenge is welcomed, and conflict is managed supportively in line with relevant policies and procedures.
- Deputise for the Director as required.
Safeguarding, Audit, and Compliance
- Oversee the compliance audits across departments and services, providing support, and follow up with operational teams on a regular basis.
- Oversee the Safeguarding infrastructure, deputising for the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) as necessary. Oversee complaints and other processes and develop these to ensure they are safe, fair, equitable, and fit for purpose.
- Support services with commissioner led quality assurance framework (QAF) inspections and those registered with the CQC to maintain their portfolios and ensure they are ready for inspection at any time to retain their registrations.
- Promote and support a positive whistleblowing culture, assist Champions, People and Culture, managers and the audit and compliance team on concerns raised and ensuring the whistleblower is protected.
Reporting and Analysis
- Attend and develop AINMs review meetings for maximum impact in terms of positive safety culture. Ensure the lessons learned from AINMs reviews, safety reviews, and safeguarding concerns are shared and feedback loops are closed.
- Review the collation and analysis of AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, developing the Audit and Compliance team, as well as other operational teams in reflection and root cause analysis
Data Protection
- Monitor the use of external data protection and compliance partners to ensure we maintain ICO requirements and maintain our Data Security Protection Toolkit Certification.
- Monitor and ensure integrity in document control, policy, and procedures as they are developed, reviewed, and published.
- Understand and support an Information Security infrastructure alongside additional teams in the organisation and support Managers and teams with training and challenges where necessary.
Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. Please refer to JDPS attached for more info
KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
- Proven experience in governance systems and structures which can include auditing, risk management, investigations, complaint handling, policy, procedure, and report writing
- Experience and/or ability to coach, develop, and manage direct reports
- Background in health, social care, criminal justice, and/or supported housing systems
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
- Adequate understanding of the importance and mechanics of document control and writing policy and procedure
- Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
- Ability to write reports in a clear, readable format
What we would like, but not essential:
- Knowledge of the ISO9001 QMS System
