You will join us working 28 hours per week on a 12 month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £29,319 per annum (pro rata of £36,649) plus excellent benefits.

The Data & Analytics team, based in the Marketing & Income Generation directorate, focuses on data processing, data selections and data analysis. The Data team has grown over the last couple of years due to significant charity growth.

Responsibilities of our Data Analyst:

As Data Analyst you will be responsible for the delivery of actionable and highly effective supporter analysis, reports, dashboards and statistical models to inform the evidence-based decision making of the Marketing and Income Generation directorate. The Data Analyst will support departmental strategies and plans by analysing campaign effectiveness and providing a clear understanding of our audiences to optimise supporter journeys, improve targeting and drive engagement. They will also assist the Lead Data Analyst in designing, planning and delivering data insight projects to enable the directorate to maintain a supporter-focused view, maximising the returns on Cat Protection’s investments.

What we’re looking for in our Data Analyst:

• Significant database marketing experience with use and manipulation of data structures with a relational database management system
• Significant data analysis and interpretation experience identifying key trends
• Advanced knowledge of FastStats or similar statistical package
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Full understanding of the data analysis process from briefing to delivery
• Experience presenting analysis and managing stakeholder relationships

About the role:

The Data Insights Analyst will ensure that Advance is able to accurately measure the effectiveness and impact of Advance’s programming and communicate and report on this effectively to both internal stakeholders – including managers and Trustees – and external stakeholders like commissioners and funders. This will involve developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing systems and processes to measure impact and meet stakeholders’ changing needs; training and supporting staff in these systems; preparing and writing reports; championing best practice around monitoring and evaluation; and supporting management as required. This is a role that is focused on handling large data sets and translating the data into a narrative that amplifies the voices of the women we support. Data is essential to the work that we do and you will lead from the front in driving a culture of quality data capture and use

About You: 

 To be successful in this role:

You will bring  good understanding of the Theory of Change (ToC) approach, logical frameworks, MEL plan development and other key MEL approaches/methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative, and ideally including participatory methodologies. You will have sound knowledge  and experience to interpret, analyse and document results from charity Programmes in writing through a variety of publications, including donor reports and guidelines/toolkits in a clear and succinct manner. You will have experience of working with highly sensitive data, and excellent and proven analytical skills working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including advanced skills on excel, and case management systems. Bringing a successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and managers, plus developing networks and partnerships.

The Finance Systems Analyst is a newly created role which will have responsibility for the efficient running and maintenance of ClientEarth’s finance systems, including Access Focal Point- which has been in use for over five years and Workday Adaptive Planning, a new system for the organisation. • • Supporting the Head of FP&A with the Workday Adaptive modelling and build to enable value added performance review and reporting in line with organisational strategy.

Part of our Strategy Enablement Directorate, the Data & Insight Team delivers high quality data and database management, administrative services and business insight to the department and other teams across Shelter. About the role 

This is an exciting role within our Data and Insight team. OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Day to day management of the service desk system.
• Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support requests and take ownership of end-user requests.
• Manage the full process of computer provisioning. 
• Undertake scheduled maintenance to ensure all computers are patched with important software and system updates.
• Administer Microsoft 365 admin centres, software systems, operating systems, applications, directory services, and any other updates and additional tasks related to system administration.
• Support with the onboarding process, ensure new starters have the correct log ins, equipment, and relevant training as necessary.
• Engage with staff to understand their needs and support our employees in the use of computer systems and applications.
• Learn and manage other digital programs within the organisation and support training and development for all staff and smaller teams where required.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. Please further refer to JDPS attached. 

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Appropriate academic/professional qualification: Minimum of GCSE, BTEC, and/or A-Level qualification in IT, English and Mathematics
• Experience of managing Microsoft Windows client operating systems – Windows 10/11
• Experience of administering and managing Microsoft 0365 admin centres
• Excellent problem-solving ability with a methodical and logical approach, able to work proactively to resolve challenges and mitigate further issues
• IT Proficiency at advanced level, ability to learn new software’s with ease and able to deliver training and support to others

What we would like, but not essential:

• Experience of working in first-, and second-line roles within agreed Service Level Agreements
• Experience in a similar support/service delivery environment, supporting with issues and incident management
• Additional professional Microsoft certifications
• Experience within a similar role in a similar sized and type of organisation

About the Team

Amongst other key systems, the ALM team supports two critical CRM solutions which underpin our engagement with both our clients and supporters. We’re also part of the Business Enablement team within Shelter’s Technology & Data (T&D) Department. T&D consists of 30+ people based across the country, with bases in London, Sheffield and Edinburgh and is accountable for developing and leading Shelter’s technology and data strategic priorities and providing a secure infrastructure. The management of data and insight to underpin strategic outcomes, delivery of technology change projects, data governance and provision of support for a range of software, systems and platform tools also fall under T&D’s remit.

About the role

Working as part of a team with a diverse portfolio of skills, as a Dynamics Support Analyst you’ll have plenty of opportunity to deepen your knowledge of our CRM systems, as well as expand into other areas. You’ll be the first point of contact for users seeking assistant with our CRM systems to ensure that they have a seamless experience with troubleshooting, problem resolution and system guidance.

As part of the role, you will also be monitoring and managing the support ticketing system (Zoho ManageEngine), to ensure timely responses and resolution of queries, at times co-ordinating with other teams and taking ownership to deliver a positive outcome for users. You’ll become an expert user of Shelter’s implementations of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, assisting in basic configuration and customisation tasks.

And we’ll also rely on you to help maintain accurate documentation of support processes, provide input for training sessions, feed into the generation of regular reports and gather user feedback to help us identify areas for improvement.

Indeed, you’ll play a key role in helping the teams that are crucial to our mission - teams which provide advice to people in need and help us understand and engage with our supporters.

About you

To succeed, you’ll need a strong understanding of enterprise-level software (ideally CRM) processes, workflows and data management and the ability to provide first level support to end users. You’ll be proficient in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar CRM platforms as a system administrator or expert user. You’ll also need to be detail-oriented ,with a problem-solving mindset and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As comfortable helping to generate regular reports as you are maintaining accurate documentation, prior experience in a customer support or helpdesk role is essential. Ideally, we’re looking for an individual who has prior experience working with IT Service/Helpdesks and you’ll able to work effectively both on your own initiative and as part of a team helping Shelter achieve its wider goals.
