Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal works in partnership with Aardman Animations to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the region’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital.

Individual Giving Fundraiser
Summary and key purpose (fundraising)
This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.
Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.
A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.
Your expertise and skills:
To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.
Key responsibilities:
· Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
· Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.
· Manage our newly appointed fundraising agency, and in doing so, help deliver an ambitious appeal programme and income target.
· Review and develop operational plans for individual giving (including regular giving, in memory, digital fundraising and appeals) working to achieve agreed targets.
· Communicate and document key performance indicators across individual giving appeals. Ensuring you provide commentary to accompany results reporting, drawing on insights and the wider picture to add context and make recommendations from your learnings.
· Work with the fundraising agency and RABI communications team to produce and edit appropriate collateral.
· Devise and deliver supporter communications, including stewardship activity, welcome journey content and appeal communications.
· Help ensure that we comply with legal and compliance requirements including industry best practice, GDPR/PECR regulations and the CIOF code of Fundraising Practice.
· Develop and maintain good working relationships and liaison with other members of RABI staff.
· Take part and contribute to team meetings.
· Cooperate with RABI on health and safety matters, taking reasonable care of own and other people’s health and safety within the workplace. Follow and H&S training received and alert RABI to any serious risks.
· Actively participate in the staff appraisal scheme and be committed to training and development in line with RABI’s aims and objectives.

Person Specification:
Essential
· Marketing or direct marketing or marketing qualification.
· Experience of using direct marketing methods to recruit, retain and develop supporters (e.g. telemarketing).
· Previous direct marketing or transferrable experience. This should include project managing or assisting a project manager to plan and deliver activity and evaluate results
· Planning, delivering and managing individual giving programmes.

Job Description
Fundraising
- Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.
- Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.
- Lead on the recruitment and retention of donors, especially Major Donors, and redevelop supporter journeys and stewardship programs.
- Evaluate new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation, especially corporate and challenge events / community fundraising.
- Impact reporting of fundraising activity and the performance of quarterly appeals, with a view to improve internal processes for greater income innovation and ROI.
- Liaise with the Free Tibet Campaigns & Research Teams to ensure that campaigning, digital and fundraising activities are seamlessly coordinated.
- Managing relationships with third party agencies, like mailing services and digital mobilisation agencies, making sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

- Proven track record of delivering income across one or more of following income streams:

A little bit about the role
The fundraising manager role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.
Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including, trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.
We are now looking for a fundraising manager to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience across a range of fundraising areas (in particular community and events fundraising, individual giving, digital fundraising as well as corporate or major donors) to add strength to the team and allow us to pilot new fundraising initiatives.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Lead on developing our public fundraising income (individual giving/community and events fundraising), working with other teams and external agencies where suitable to increase engagement among our audiences and grow our public fundraising income.
- Work with and develop relationships with existing corporate supporters and bring on board new corporate supporters to grow income from this area, including through staff fundraising activities

RPMT is seeking a Fundraiser with experience in trusts and foundations to oversee the fundraising campaign for the project. The chosen individual will take on responsibilities such as identifying and researching prospects, implementing new fundraising streams, and delivering an activity program encompassing members and patrons' schemes, major gifts, public appeals, and fundraising events. The successful applicant will work across all RPMT sites.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven and demonstrable experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations.
- Experience of writing fundraising copy, both for encouraging donations and building relationships with supporters.
- Ability to identify and respond to fundraising opportunities and articulate a project, programme, or fundraising appeal in a compelling manner.
- Ability to present information verbally and in written format including progress reports, project updates and briefings to a range of audiences in a clear, accurate and confident manner.
We are seeking an individual with the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with supporters with a wide variety of interests and motivations. Excellent administration and organisational skills, with the proven ability to organise and plan your own workload and establish clear priorities to meet deadlines will be essential.

FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising strategy and income streams have developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. The Supporter Care Officer (SCO) is responsible for all donor support processes, systems, strategies and individual giving fundraising appeals, which ensure we have excellent relationships with our donors to retain and grow our IG income.
