We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to support our DIY fundraisers and ensure they receive a bespoke, engaging stewardship journey. This role is key to providing outstanding service to our supporters, helping them stay motivated and connected to the charity throughout their fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing supporter engagement, contributing to the charity’s fundraising targets, and ensuring smooth coordination across the mass participation events portfolio.

The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive gold standard care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to help diversify the environmental sector by scaling a Black-led nature organisation to be able to demonstrate leadership on a national scale and promote and serve the interests and needs of ethnically marginalized communities in accessing nature.

How the COO will support our vision

The role of Chief Operating Officer is central to helping us achieve our ambitions, ensuring that Wild in the City has the resources, infrastructure and working environment to achieve its annual plans, long term aims and deliver high-quality programmes.

We are not expecting the COO to implement the key areas of operations alone, we will work together to prioritise and generate the resources to build a team to cover the functionality required for steady growth. We are also motivated to ensure that the role’s salary is reviewed to meet market expectations as the role grows, dependent on funding.

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Email communications - management and scheduling of all email communications to the organisation's database and external audiences, management of email communication's calendar, management of Email Service Provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), maintaining integrity of email contact list, and writing copy, building, segmenting and sending emails.
• Support the Marketing Manager with planning, copywriting and coordination of the marketing of the organisation's campaigns across paid, organic and earned media.
• Take the lead on delivery and evaluation of specific marketing campaigns.
• CRM reporting, including setting up dashboards, creating effective reports and working closely with Product & Technology team to ensure CRM is being used to its full potential.
• Ongoing analysis of email reporting and performance to inform future marketing and communications strategies and plans.

• Ensure all email campaigns adhere to GDPR consent and data capture regulations.

• Experience of managing email campaigns for a variety of audiences, including drafting content, Email Service Provider (ESP) management (ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud), A/B testing and performance analysis.
• A good understanding of email data (open rate, click through rate, click through open rate etc.) and how to analyse it in order to inform on-going activity.
• Experience of using a range of analytics tools to help monitor, optimise and evaluate campaign performance including Google Analytics, CRMs and ESPs.
• Experience of using Customer Relationship Management systems (ideally Salesforce) to segment audiences, create campaigns, target audiences and report on activity.
• Experience of managing marketing and communications campaigns across owned, paid and earned channels.
• Management of campaigns and implementing tracking, undertaking evaluation based on performance of KPIs.
• Experience of copywriting and producing content for a range of channels and audiences.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Head of Governance will lead the charity’s small Governance and Risk, and Facilities teams. They are responsible for governance, company secretarial, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, information governance, procurement and contracts management, business continuity planning, and management of facilities and the charity's office and small portfolio of other properties.

The role would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit and working with colleagues across the charity, who can think around issues and implement pragmatic solutions. As the role has a wide remit, the ability to learn quickly will be key. Candidates will need senior level experience of charity governance, risk management and safeguarding, ideally working with adults at risk. Applicants will need to be good communicators, verbally and in writing.

This role is 0.5FTE (17.5 hours per week). There is some flexibility around how the hours can be worked, but hours would normally be worked across 2.5 days a week, with attendance required at specific times for management and trustee meetings. Office attendance will be required on average 2 days a week for meetings and due to responsibility for office management.

BACKGROUND

Church of England Birmingham (CofEB) is on a journey of growing churches at the heart of every community. Through this we are seeing growth in many exciting ways. Financially we are at a challenging point. We have had an operational deficit for a number of years and this cannot continue. There are current conversations happening with the National Church around how we get to a sustainable platform through partnership. One key aspect of this is for us to increase our Common Fund returns (the giving from our parishes that supports the costs of our life together). We are taking a radical new approach to our finances which includes intentional reallocation of income to support the costs in our most economically deprived parishes and deeper relationships with each parish around finance through conversation rather than correspondence. Over the next five years we are hoping to be able to move to a financially sustainable platform which will enable us to better serve our communities in the future. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

We need a Head of Generosity to lead the team, and project, that will focus on developing long term relationships with all of our parishes leading to:

• Greater support for our parishes.
• Increased generosity by, and within, our parishes.
• Increased Common Fund.

A steering Group has been established, which the Head of Generosity will be a part of, to plan, design and implement the activities needed to deliver our vision. Through partnership with the National Church we are expecting that there will be four members of this Generosity Team. 

This role, and the team, will need to work closely with Archdeacons and Area Deans, Directors of Mission, Ministry and Finance (and their teams), the Head of Communications and many others. We have one strategy and this is a part of that so needs to link well with all other parts. 

The Head of Generosity will also be Bishops Advisor for Common Fund. Bishop Michael is passionate about supporting our parishes and seeing Common Fund increase and this role will both channel his desire to parishes and help reflect what is learnt back to the Bishop as we progress.

The post holder will have the support of the National Giving Team who have extensive experience and resources to support those responsible for giving and generosity. They will also be given access to a strong and growing national network of people in similar roles. Their experience has proven invaluable to people in roles similar to this, building on best practice and learning from others across 41 Dioceses.

The role will have the following key responsibilities:

• Support in the recruitment and the establishment of the Generosity Team.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the members of the Generosity Team.
• Support the delivery design of this project and deliver the actions agreed by the Steering Group.
• Lead on Parish engagement across all areas of generosity, including the spiritual / theological nature.
• Appropriately discern and allocate team members to support different phases of the process and the different and wide-ranging developmental needs of parishes. 

Through the team:

• Create a bespoke multi year plan for Common Fund with every parish with key stakeholders including Archdeacons.
• Provide consultancy, resources, and hands-on support to parishes to grow regular giving, legacies, and other forms of financial support. This work will be able to draw on the resources developed by the national church as well as the data held on their Cornerstone Platform. The post-holder will be expected to engage in the work of the National Giving Team as part of the development of these wider resources.
• Develop and deliver training for clergy, lay leaders and PCCs, on financial management and giving and generosity with the Ministry team.
• Encourage and assist parishes in the implementation of the Parish Giving Scheme, introduction of contactless giving mechanisms and related diocesan initiatives.
• Source, develop and curate practical resources (digital and print) to support local stewardship campaigns and initiatives.
• Evaluate the impact of stewardship and generosity initiatives and adapt strategies accordingly to achieve the project outcomes.
• Create compelling communication tools that articulate the impact of generosity with our communication team.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven leadership experience preferably in financial management, fundraising, or stewardship within a faith-based or nonprofit organisation.
• Strong understanding of church governance structures and financial operations and requirements.
• Knowledge of generosity principles and Christian financial stewardship.
• A prayerful Christian with a deep commitment to the Church’s mission (Genuine Occupational Requirement).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The post-holder will be employed by the Diocesan Board of Finance for five years.

Salary and Pension: Salary of £48,000 plus membership of the Church Worker’s Pension Scheme with 12% employer contribution. We are open to discussion especially if you are ordained and are moving out of parish ministry.

Hours:  Full-time 35 hours (5 days) per week. Weekend and evening work will be required, for which the equivalent time may be taken back from standard working hours. We are happy to consider requests for flexible working, and please do mention in your application if you would be interested in looking at alternative working hours. 

Holidays: 5 weeks per year plus Bank Holidays and 3 Discretionary Days between Christmas and New Year

The Corporate Team at ARUK has just enjoyed a record-breaking year of fundraising by our corporate partners. We require a proactive and organised colleague to provide the team with vital administrative support. 

The successful candidate will support our partnerships with companies such as Dyson, The Perfume Shop, Cadbury, and Slimming World while building excellent relationships with supporters from within those organisations. This role will also support our new business team with their approaches to prospective companies. 

This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a secondment period. This role will be known internally as Partnership Development Executive – FTC.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Team administrative support

· Provide general administrative support for all members of the team.

· Manage invites and room bookings for Corporate Team meetings.

· Ensure accurate recording keeping through the use of our CRM system.

· Be the main internal point of contact for the Corporate Team.

· Respond to incoming team enquires promptly and professionally.

· Ensure accurate financial records are kept, by reconciling gifts across multiple donation platforms.

· Fundraising stock management and distribution.

· Assisting the team with event planning, including sourcing pricing quotes, raising purchase orders and booking equipment and ordering merchandise.

· Update the team intranet and website pages. 

· Post from the Partnership Development team Twitter accounts, monitor LinkedIn for activity by our partners and flag to appropriate team member. 

· Update internal group email distribution lists as required.

Securing new partnerships

· Fundraising data management: adding new companies and prospects to ensure accurate records of approaches made by the team. 

· Monitor supporter information on the database to generate new leads for the team.

· Generating reports for the New Business team and maintaining accurate records.

· Provide ad hoc support in the lead-up to high-value pitches and applications e.g. prepare materials, book couriers etc. 

Supporting our existing partnerships

· Provide a first-class stewardship journey for fundraisers from companies that are supporting the charity. Including making sure they have the materials and resources required to fundraise – preparing and sending information packs, wishing them good luck, drafting letters, and sending thank you messages.

· Work closely with the Central Fundraising Team to ensure a consistent stewardship journey across all audiences. 

· Manage online giving pages and our CRM system to make sure corporate supporters are identified and recorded correctly, and their income potential is maximised.

· Monitor the CRM system to make sure that all information about our corporate fundraisers is recorded correctly.

· Filter enquiries from our corporate supporters whilst the Partnership Development Officers are on annual leave to ensure a timely and helpful response. 

· Help support event delivery by sourcing volunteers, merchandise, and gifts in kind for events.

· Keep the Partnership Development Officers and Team Managers up to date on feedback from supporters. 

· Communicate key fundraising products and communications designed for our Corporate supporters with the Regional team. 

· Develop new fundraising idea packs to engage our Corporate supporters and seek appropriate sign off.

Working with others

· Work with our merchandising team for the development and production of event materials as required.

· Liaise with our distribution centre to organise mass mailings of materials needed for pitches and large partnership launches and events.

· Represent the Corporate Partnerships team on working groups for internal projects to ensure the team’s needs are met.

· Work closely with our Supporter Care Team, Central Fundraising Team and Insight & Development teams to make sure that the Corporate Partnership team is following processes correctly and is adopting improved practices where possible. 

What we are looking for:

· Confidence working with computers and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Experience using databases.

· Experience working in a customer/client facing position.

· Demonstrable administrative experience or relevant transferable skills.

· Experience of building and managing relationships with colleagues.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple tasks.

· Excellent planning and organisational skills

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Friendly and professional demeanour.

· A confident and friendly manner; would feel at ease representing the charity among varied external contacts.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Hillside is looking for a part time Caseworker to join the Mental Health Recovery Team which supports Islington residents with:

• Person-centred, coproduced and trauma informed recovery-focused interventions.
• Promotes independence and self-management for members
• Delivers a wraparound service in partnership with local authority, statutory agencies and community partners.
• Ensures members ‘involvement in active volunteering and coproduced activities, service planning and reviews

Main responsibilities:

• Motivate, lead and encourage member participation at all levels of responsibility, working alongside members to complete tasks.

• To work as a member of Hillside Team to deliver outcomes for the Recovery Programme
• To keep systems and database up to date with members ‘information
• To provide information and support at a time of crisis to service users.
• To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments and deal with safeguarding concerns promptly and in line with Safeguarding protocols and procedures.
• To offer information and support to members regarding their mental health, and signposting to appropriate organisation for issues concerning housing, benefits and any legal matters

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Experience in direct support work with adults with mental health diagnosis or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support (one year minimum)
• Excellent caseworker with good assessment, motivational and empowerment skills

• Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work in diverse settings and with people with diverse needs.
