We have a Housing Management Apprenticeship opportunity available for an 18 month fixed term contract in Bristol.

What you’ll be doing

Working as a Housing Management Apprentice Worker, you will complete practical work experience and academic learning to build the knowledge, skills and experience to develop a career in the housing and homelessness sector.

As an Apprentice Worker you will:

• Work as part of a team to support with general housing management and operations of accommodation services.
• Work alongside colleagues, students and volunteers working together directly with residents to support and empower people to recover from homelessness and rebuild their lives.
• Develop the skills to support housing and tenancy management functions and assist with lettings and property maintenance processes.  
• Supporting with void management, repairs reporting, rent and arrears processes.
• Gain practical experience and the skills required for future employment in housing management.
• Learn how to deliver day-to-day services while collaborating with colleagues and external partners.
• Have opportunities to shadow experienced staff and receive on-the-job training.
• Complete the practical element of your apprenticeships with meetings and event attendance as well as formal learning while completing a Level Housing and Property Management Qualification
• Complete on and off the job learning, shadowing and development opportunities.
• Receive support and supervision from an Apprenticeship Advisor as well as a direct line manager, every step of the way.

Where you’ll work

Our level 2 pathway provides semi-independent accommodation and housing related support to people who may have complex needs, including multiple challenges such as physical and mental health issues, substance use and a history of trauma. We are dedicated to providing a safe, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in supported accommodation, and a positive move-on into independent housing.

Our residents are male and female living in shared and self-contained properties.

What we’re looking for

Our Apprentice scheme is specifically designed for people with lived experience, and we can only offer places to the people the programme is designed for.

You may have personally experienced homelessness (spent time sleeping rough, or lived in a hostel, refuge or supported accommodation), you may have experienced domestic abuse, mental health struggles, substance misuse problems or had contact with the criminal justice system and have used recovery services as a result.

We’re looking for people with motivation to build a career in housing and homelessness, who can bring:

• Learning and reflections gained through lived experience and recovery.
• Ability to demonstrate how personal lived experience has shaped your approach to support and wellbeing.
• Good communication and listening skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
• Some experience through volunteering or working in a similar setting.
• Basic admin and IT skills and a proactive attitude towards learning.

Children’s and Youth Ministry Intern

The Diocese of Canterbury is seeking a Children’s and Youth Ministry Intern to join our Education/CYP Team and gain hands-on experience in ministry across a variety of churches.

As our Intern, you’ll support, plan, and lead activities for children and young people, help organise events and trips, and contribute to projects that make a real difference. You’ll also take part in Catalyst, a dynamic training programme delivered by Ridley Hall, equipping you with practical skills and theological understanding for ministry.

Citizens Advice Brighton & Hove are currently seeking to recruit trainee or qualified Debt Advisers to join our thriving charity. 

The purpose of the role is to provide tailored advocacy, advice and support to individuals and families struggling with debts, and provide them with help to overcome and prevent them from falling into similar situations again. This is a local service, working with communities within Brighton & Hove. 

The successful candidate must have the required specialist debt advice accreditation, or be willing to work towards this. Trained advisers will ideally have experience of a MaPS debt project and have completed training to caseworker level. This is a full time role, but part time hours could be considered for the right candidate.

About the role

This is a part-time, fixed-term role (21 hours per week) and a genuine investment in your professional development. As a Welfare Benefits Trainee Adviser, you will receive structured, on-the-job training to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to provide high-quality, person-centred advice. You will work under close supervision, with the opportunity to achieve the AdviceUK Learning to Advise (LTA) Full Programme certification within your first six months, between September and December 2026.

Day to day, you will support service users with a range of practical needs: interpreting calls, helping with GP registrations, guiding people through form applications, assisting with school enrolment, and providing orientation on accessing government support. As your training progresses, your responsibilities will develop towards more in-depth welfare benefits advice.

This is not an entry-level role that leaves you unsupported. You will be supervised, mentored, and developed throughout, and if you complete your probation successfully, further training and qualification opportunities may follow.

What we are looking for

You will be an advanced Spanish speaker with at least six months of experience working with individuals or communities in a supportive capacity, paid or voluntary. You will bring empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve, alongside a structured, organised approach and a willingness to learn.

You do not need to be a qualified adviser yet. What matters most is that you are ready to grow into one.
