About the Role
We are looking for an Apprentice Administrator to join our growing Admin Team. You will receive on the job training in how to provide effective and efficient administrative support for the organisation, ensuring a smooth running and high quality service is provided to all services and departments, whilst completing the Business Apprenticeship Level 3.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your administration experience within an expanding organisation leading in support services for people living with brain injury.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for visitors to Headway East London.
- Manage external communications through post, telephone, and email, ensuring information is redirected to the relevant person to be dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Undertake regular checks of the office space so it stays organised.
- Manage the organisational online calendars and the relevant databases and spreadsheets ensuring these are all up to date.
- Support managers to keep staff rotas up to date, ensuring efficient and effective use of staff time.
- Manage day service transport bookings daily and keep day service staff informed.
- Process referral forms for all services ensuring that they are fully complete.
- Work closely with Service leads to manage service waiting list and liaise with referees where necessary.
- Work with service leads to provide administrative assistance to support the smooth running of services.
- Work closely with the Admin and Premises Manager to ensure data collection systems and the Charity Log database function efficiently, are accurate, and are up to date.
- Support the finance function with administrative tasks as necessary.

We have an exciting opportunity for two Insurance Apprentices to join our friendly and growing Unity Insurance team, based in Lancing, West Sussex.
Unity is a vibrant insurance broker specialising in Scouts and charity insurance products. With a variety of projects underway and more planned over the coming months, this role offers an excellent entry point into the insurance industry with real scope to grow.
Job Title: Insurance Apprentice
Salary: £11,648 - £20,748 per annum - There are different rates of pay for apprentices depending on your age and what year of your apprenticeship you’re in. These are in line with the National Minimum Wage for Apprentices.
Location: Lancing, West Sussex, BN15 8UW
Contract Type:This apprenticeship is for 18months with a view to considering permanent roles available in the team on completion.
Working Hours: 35 hours a week, 9 am - 5 pm
About The Role:
This insurance apprenticeship is designed to help you build professional skills and succeed in the workplace. Through real-world industry examples, you'll gain practical knowledge that directly applies to your job.

As the Insurance Apprentice, your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with new business enquiries across different charities and not-for-profit organisations.
- Developing relationships with Scouts, Charities, and Commercial organisations/businesses.
- Attend supervision sessions, team and management meetings as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with the Individual Conduct rules and Conduct policies
What we are looking for in our Insurance Apprentice:
- Minimum two A levels (grade C or above) or equivalent, and willingness to work towards Cert C
- Building strong relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
- Ability to work using own initiative and manage tasks effectively
